The Southeast Shooting League finals are underway, with eight elite shooters competing for the ultimate title. The atmosphere is tense, and the announcer emphasizes the importance of accuracy, mentality, and even luck in such a high-stakes competition. Among the spectators, Rui Live intern Tang Xin fervently cheers for Shooter No. 7, proudly displaying a "seven" on her hoodie. Her vivid dream of this moment is abruptly cut short when the car she’s in brakes to a halt.

Her friend, Lizi, apologizes for her novice driving skills, then playfully confronts Tang Xin about dreaming of "him" again, a man who had left her years ago. Tang Xin denies it, claiming dreams mean the opposite and are beyond her control. Lizi vows to confront this mysterious figure if she ever finds out who he is.

Tang Xin declines Lizi's offer to stay behind to support her, prioritizing her internship and fearing it would jeopardize her chance to become a regular employee, especially since her manager, Mr. Zhou, already has a poor impression of her. This competition is her last chance to prove herself. Upon arriving at the venue, Tang Xin introduces herself as a Rui Live streamer.

Jiang Yitian, a member of the Haiya Shooting Team, greets her, explaining he’s filling in for Captain Shen, who had an unexpected emergency. Jiang Yitian provides Tang Xin with the team roster, expressing his excitement about their team being livestreamed for the first time and playfully asking her to make him look handsome on camera. Tang Xin initially mistakes him for the captain, but he quickly corrects her, clarifying that their captain is named Shen.

Meanwhile, a serious issue has emerged at the equipment inspection office: the Haiya Shooting Team’s pistols have failed inspection due to being overweight. Chen Hai and other team members desperately try to argue with the inspectors, but their pleas are dismissed. Just then, Captain Shen Qingyuan, wearing the distinctive No. 7 uniform, arrives. He calmly assesses the situation, attributing the increased weight to the plum rain season making the guns damp, and announces his intention to find a solution.

Seeing the No. 7 uniform, Tang Xin recognizes Shen Qingyuan and approaches him, asking if he remembers her from a past competition. Mistaking her for a media representative due to her press badge, Shen Qingyuan coldly directs her to Jiang Yitian for interviews.

Later, Jiang Yitian explains to Tang Xin that Shen Qingyuan suffers from severe face blindness, making it hard for him to recognize people by sight, though he can remember names and connect them to faces once he hears them. Tang Xin, eager to understand Shen Qingyuan better for her commentary, asks Jiang Yitian more about him. Jiang Yitian assures her of Shen Qingyuan’s exceptional skill and consistency.

They walk towards the preparation area where Shen Qingyuan is already dismantling his pistol, declaring it the only way to ensure victory. Despite Chen Hai's concerns about affecting the gun's accuracy, Shen Qingyuan confidently proceeds. He quickly polishes the pistol and, with a single shot, calibrates it perfectly, hitting an impressive 10. 5.

As Tang Xin begins livestreaming the Men’s 10m Air Pistol qualification, explaining the rules and technical aspects of the sport, Jiang Yitian and a teammate watch her broadcast. Tang Xin notes that one shooter, whose pistol was recently dismantled, appears unstable, and soon after, Chen Hai makes errors. Jiang Yitian's teammate suggests sending virtual gifts to Tang Xin through the platform. Shen Qingyuan, observing them, questions why they aren't in the stands and dismisses watching livestreams as unproductive.

However, Jiang Yitian and his teammate praise Tang Xin’s professionalism and her ability to attract a large audience. Hearing her name, Shen Qingyuan reacts, muttering that she is "ridiculous," which surprises Jiang Yitian, who realizes Shen Qingyuan does remember her. Later, Shi Xiaoci, an accomplished member of the Haiya team and Shen Qingyuan's partner, has a brief exchange with him. Shen Qingyuan teases her, saying that by "accosting girls" on the training ground, she helped him strengthen his "anti-disturbance skills."

Shi Xiaoci’s friend, Liu Yu, calls her, asking for close-up photos of Shen Qingyuan because her phone’s livestream is blurry. Shi Xiaoci casually dismisses the request, saying she already saw him that morning and he looked fine. During the qualification round, Shen Qingyuan, Haiya’s ace, initially scores an 8, then a 9. Tang Xin's commentary suggests his pistol might be experiencing issues similar to Chen Hai's and that these scores are not ideal for a top-tier shooter.

However, Shen Qingyuan then delivers a series of perfect 10s. Tang Xin praises his precision but still feels he hasn't unleashed his full potential, suggesting he might be holding back for the final. Shen Qingyuan finishes the qualification in first place with a total of 584 points, closely followed by Zhou Yue of the Southeast Shooting Team, who scores 582. After the qualification, Shen Qingyuan approaches Tang Xin and coldly demands that she leave the range during the final.

He claims her presence affects his performance and that she is the only person in the entire venue who has this effect on him, insisting she stay away until he can understand why. Confused and upset, Tang Xin questions his harsh words. Shen Qingyuan then calls Dr. Ding, a psychologist, who promptly arrives. Shi Xiaoci, observing Shen Qingyuan's unusual behavior, asks if his request for Dr. Ding is related to Tang Xin, but he denies it.

Meanwhile, Du Lingfeng, the heir of Lingda Group, arrives at the shooting range, seeking an athlete endorser who can inspire the public. He asks Tang Xin for directions to the competition hall, and she leads him there. During their conversation, Du Lingfeng asks for her opinion on the best shooters, and Tang Xin recommends Shen Qingyuan and Zhou Yue.

Du Lingfeng observes that Tang Xin doesn't seem like someone who does "legwork," to which she replies that she's just an ordinary intern whose chance at a permanent position depends on this livestream. Zhou Yue approaches Shen Qingyuan, complimenting his performance, especially with the modified pistol. He suggests that experienced shooters often hold back in qualifiers to avoid pressure in the finals.

Shen Qingyuan dismisses this, reminding Zhou Yue that as the second-place finisher, he has no need to hide his strength. As the final begins, Tang Xin explains the fast-paced, half-hour format and the elimination rounds. She notices Shen Qingyuan looking in her direction. His first two shots fall short of his usual perfect scores. Dr. Ding, observing this, confirms to Jiang Yitian and Shi Xiaoci that Shen Qingyuan is indeed being affected by Tang Xin.

They then approach Tang Xin, asking her to leave the gym because she is distracting Captain Shen. Du Lingfeng, sitting with her, defends her, stating that she is just doing her job and Shen Qingyuan's performance is not her responsibility. At that moment, Tang Xin receives an angry call from her manager, Zhou Zuguang. He sternly reminds her of her intern status and the critical importance of this livestream for their company’s first venture into traditional sports broadcasting.

He warns that if she fails, their entire team might be dissolved. Determined to complete her task without disrupting Shen Qingyuan, Tang Xin asks Du Lingfeng to sit in front of her, using him as a shield while she records from behind. However, the video quality suffers. Frustrated, Tang Xin steps out from behind her cover, and Shen Qingyuan sees her.

Immediately, his pistol's trigger malfunctions, forcing a halt in his shooting and causing Tang Xin's live broadcast to be interrupted. Zhou Zuguang immediately calls her back, furious about the interrupted livestream, calling it a major taboo. He reiterates the dire consequences for their team if she fails. Tang Xin, however, poses a challenging question: if her continued livestreaming causes the Haiya University Shooting Team to lose the championship, would that still be considered a successful broadcast?
