Han Shangyan, Little Mi, and Ou Qiang drove through Norway, listening to the song "Glorious Years." They were transported back to their days in Team Solo a decade ago, recalling how they sang this very song, full of dreams despite their poverty, and cherishing their "Friendship Forever." Han Shangyan felt as though those days were only yesterday.
He then took his friends to a beautiful, remote spot, explaining that this was where he had escaped the shadow of Wang Hao and decided to establish K&K. Speaking of Wang Hao and Appledog, Han Shangyan still harbored deep resentment. Ou Qiang, however, stepped in to reason with him. He angrily yet sincerely urged Han Shangyan to let go of his stubbornness and reconcile with Wang Hao and Appledog.
He explained that Wang Hao's formation of SP, though breaking a previous promise to Han Shangyan, was ultimately for the greater good of China's cybersecurity in international competitions. Ou Qiang also expressed his own frustration with Han Shangyan, reminding him that he, as a "Gun God" and a genius, had retired abruptly, causing them all pain. He recollected their youthful dreams of building a huge club and making the cybersecurity industry understood and supported nationwide.
Meanwhile, Appledog, back at her hotel, reflected on Han Shangyan's past. She mused that his mother had died during his birth due to heavy bleeding, and his father passed away soon after, leading to his reserved personality and difficulty expressing emotions. In a parallel moment, Han Shangyan offered candy to Ou Qiang and Little Mi.
He explained that he eats candy not because he's angry, but because it makes speaking harder, preventing him from saying harsh words, and the sweetness helps improve his mood. The three friends shared a laugh, cherishing their rekindled camaraderie. The following day, Han Shangyan and his team prepared to return to China. At the airport, Han Shangyan was giving an interview on the team bus, while Wu Bai, who was intentionally delayed by reporters, encountered Tong Nian.
Tong Nian, holding a "Welcome Han Shangyan" sign, congratulated Wu Bai on his championship win and then eagerly asked about Han Shangyan. Recognizing her intent, Wu Bai led her to Han Shangyan's bus. Inside, Shen Zhe alerted Han Shangyan that his "Sister-in-Law" had arrived. Han Shangyan looked up, noticing Tong Nian's green hat, scarf, and dress, and bluntly asked about her "taste." Tong Nian quickly explained it was a matching outfit.
Wu Bai urged her to get on the bus before she froze, and Han Shangyan, despite his gruff exterior, allowed her to board and take a seat. On the bus, Han Shangyan expressed concern that Tong Nian was thinly dressed and might catch a cold. Tong Nian, misunderstanding his care as disapproval of her style, innocently offered to wear whatever he liked the next time they met.
This caused the K&K team members in the back to burst into laughter, and Han Shangyan, visibly embarrassed, told Tong Nian not to discuss such things with other men. Wu Bai, sensing the awkwardness, discreetly moved to the back row. Later, Han Shangyan finally saw Tong Nian's WeChat ID, "Predestined Tonight Cafe," and realized she was the one who had been sending him all the awkward "promotional messages."
In China, Wang Hao met his ex-wife Su Cheng at a cafe to discuss their daughter, Little Ai. Little Ai, who needed a hearing aid, behaved rudely towards Su Cheng, refusing to greet her. Little Ai grabbed the menu and ordered several expensive cakes, insisting her father would pay, and pointedly asked if her mother still thought Wang Hao was the "poor guy without a background, education, or money" he used to be.
Wang Hao, citing an upcoming team training, suggested Little Ai stay with her mother for a few days. Little Ai responded by angrily pulling off her hearing aid, refusing to listen. Su Cheng, understanding her daughter's feelings, advised Wang Hao not to get angry. Tong Nian arrived at the K&K Esports Club, awestruck by everything related to Han Shangyan.
While Han Shangyan was on a conference call with his Norwegian partners, discussing K&K China's focus on cybersecurity and Wu Bai's team's global ranking, Tong Nian, left to her own devices, started sliding down the club's indoor slide, much to the amusement of the K&K members. She even tried to secretly snap photos of Han Shangyan. He quickly messaged her, telling her to "delete" them.
When Han Shangyan called her into his office, Tong Nian pretended she had already deleted the pictures. However, a voice message from her best friend Lan Mei, enthusiastically praising "Gun God" Han Shangyan's handsomeness and physique, played aloud, revealing her deception and causing her great embarrassment. Han Shangyan then playfully asked if she often mentioned him to her friends. Tong Nian initially denied it but eventually admitted to occasionally discussing his career, which only made Han Shangyan more curious.
After his conference call, Han Shangyan told his team members to join Tong Nian for dinner in the meeting room, ensuring she remained within his sight. He observed her endearing actions while the team members, witnessing their interaction and recognizing their shared dedication and demanding standards, concluded that Tong Nian and Han Shangyan were a perfect match.
Han Shangyan later admitted his "intuition" about her being behind the mysterious WeChat account had been correct, suggesting a deeper connection blooming between them. Upon returning to her dormitory, Tong Nian, inspired by a conversation about reaction-testing software during dinner, stayed up all night to create an advanced version of it. The next morning at the K&K club, Little Ai continued to act out against her mother, Su Cheng, who was the team manager.
Han Shangyan intervened, using a cunning tactic to provoke Little Ai. He suggested that Wang Hao's parenting was flawed and that Su Cheng should have raised Little Ai herself. Little Ai, furious that Han Shangyan criticized her father, defiantly agreed to go to an amusement park with Su Cheng, but only if Han Shangyan joined them as well. She claimed it was time for him to repay an "old debt" for Wang Hao's past mentorship.
Han Shangyan reluctantly agreed, giving her ten minutes to get ready. Just then, Tong Nian messaged him, announcing that her reaction-testing software was complete, which sparked an idea in Han Shangyan's mind.
