Cai Minmin spent all her living expenses on the showerhead. Having no money for food, she found He Canyang and brazenly asked him to treat her to a meal. He Canyang said he had something to tell Cai Minmin. Cai Minmin thought He Canyang was going to confess his feelings for her. He Canyang, however, seriously told Cai Minmin not to spread rumors everywhere saying he liked her.
Only then did Cai Minmin realize that her previous thoughts about He Canyang liking her were all her own imagination. Cong Xiao and Amy agreed to meet at 7:30. Cong Xiao wanted to ask Chang Huan to go with her to sign the contract and discuss the design plan. Chang Huan, however, had an appointment with Qingqing to watch a movie.
Seeing Chang Huan was in a difficult situation, Yuan Song voluntarily offered to meet the client for Chang Huan and tell Chang Huan the client's requirements upon his return. Seeing Qingqing and Chang Huan's retreating figures, Cong Xiao felt a bit uncomfortable. Song Xue and He Fanxing came to Shen Fanfan's dance studio. Seeing Shen Fanfan and the female dancer Xiaokou being intimate, they felt something was wrong.
Shen Fanfan asked Song Xue to help take care of Xiaodouzi, while he went to practice dancing. When Song Xue and He Fanxing were eating, they guessed if Xiaokou might like Shen Fanfan. He Fanxing, however, felt that since Xiaokou was so young, she wouldn't want to become someone's stepmother. He Fanxing talked about how Ye Luming helped her out at the birthday party. Song Xue guessed that Ye Luming liked He Fanxing. He Fanxing, however, felt it was impossible.
- After Cong Xiao and Amy signed the contract, Amy brought up seeing He Fanxing's boyfriend at the birthday party last time. Listening, both Cong Xiao and Yuan Song had unpleasant expressions. The next day, Yuan Song was a bit restless thinking about what Amy had said. Chang Huan noticed Yuan Song was in a bad mood. Yuan Song, however, changed the topic and told Chang Huan to pursue Cong Xiao.
Stimulated by Yuan Song, Chang Huan accidentally let it slip and told Yuan Song that he knew about him and He Fanxing dating. Seeing that he had let it slip, Chang Huan then asked Yuan Song how he had explained the matter with Wu Meiyin to He Fanxing. Yuan Song, however, said he hadn't told He Fanxing. Only then did Chang Huan realize that He Fanxing hadn't even asked Yuan Song at all.
Chang Huan was annoyed at himself for being talkative and quickly comforted Yuan Song, thinking that He Fanxing chose to trust Yuan Song, which was why she didn't ask. While Cong Xiao was revising the contract feeling upset, Qingqing brought a delivery to Cong Xiao. Cong Xiao casually asked Qingqing about yesterday's date but didn't listen carefully to what Qingqing had to say.
Yuan Song was drinking alone at a bar, feeling down, and also invited Wu Meiyin to come out. Yuan Song told Wu Meiyin about He Fanxing bringing a fake boyfriend to her classmate's birthday party. Wu Meiyin, however, said the problem between them was that Yuan Song only gave He Fanxing a sense of belonging but failed to give her a sense of security. Yuan Song also only got a sense of belonging, without security.
Wu Meiyin suggested to Yuan Song that the most important thing now is to build a sense of security between them. Yuan Song felt the problem was with himself. Even if relationships are a two-person issue, he had to solve his own problem first. Yuan Song decided not to study abroad and stay by He Fanxing's side. He Fanxing was looking at her evening gown at He Canyang's place.
He Canyang suddenly pointed at the TV, saying that host was Yuan Song's ex-girlfriend. He Fanxing was a bit confused. She had always thought Yuan Song's ex-girlfriend was Wu Meiyin, but He Canyang didn't know who Wu Meiyin was. Cai Minmin suddenly had no dance partner, so she found Yuan Song to help her and be her partner. At the company, He Fanxing and Cong Xiao ran into each other.
Cong Xiao had been ignoring He Fanxing for the past two days. He Fanxing stopped Cong Xiao and asked her what was wrong. Cong Xiao questioned He Fanxing about her relationship with Ye Luming. She also said Yuan Song was there at the time, so he couldn't have misheard. He Fanxing couldn't refute and could only say that she really didn't know Ye Luming liked her at first.
Cong Xiao, however, felt He Fanxing should have told her in time instead of making her look like a fool between the two of them. After they finished arguing, Qingqing came out of the storage room. She had heard about Chang Huan liking Cong Xiao in the storage room. Qingqing composed herself, pretended as if nothing had happened, and invited Chang Huan to dinner as usual. Ye Luming came to the school to bring Cai Minmin her dress.
Cai Minmin told Ye Luming that Yuan Song's girlfriend would also be attending, so she wanted to dress beautifully. Cai Minmin casually invited Ye Luming to stay for the ball as well. After Ye Luming knew He Fanxing would be coming, he stayed. While Yuan Song and Cai Minmin were performing on stage, Ye Luming found He Fanxing in the audience, asking her why she didn't answer his calls.
He Fanxing said she didn't know what to say even if she answered. Ye Luming thought He Fanxing and Yuan Song had argued and asked He Fanxing to talk to him about it. He Fanxing, however, had a cold expression and asked Ye Luming to show her the photos of the 'goddess' he mentioned. Ye Luming couldn't produce them and was speechless.
He Fanxing recalled all the various ways she had interacted with Ye Luming before and felt that Ye Luming was just 'fishing' for her. He Fanxing had always regarded Ye Luming as a good friend and had sworn to everyone that she and Ye Luming were just good friends. He Fanxing was extremely disappointed with Ye Luming and even said she wanted to break off their friendship. She was not in the mood to deal with Ye Luming now.
Ye Luming, however, got angry, saying He Fanxing never had to deal with him, and left in a huff. Yuan Song contacted He Fanxing and returned to the ball with her. Yuan Song went on stage, took off his mask, and confessed his feelings to He Fanxing, hoping she would let him become her official boyfriend sooner and make their relationship public.
