Xuanyuan Po, a new resident at the National Academy, was confronted by Tianhai Ya'er, the Empress's nephew and heir to the Tianhai family. Tianhai Ya'er, asserting his authority, forbade Xuanyuan Po from associating with Chen Changsheng and the National Academy. When Xuanyuan Po refused, Tianhai Ya'er and his followers attacked, injuring Xuanyuan Po's arm. Luo Luo and Jin Yulu arrived, intervening in the fight.

Learning of Luo Luo's identity as the Demon Race princess, Tianhai Ya'er quickly backed down, but Luo Luo, seeking retribution for Xuanyuan Po's injury, retaliated by dislocating his arm before allowing him to flee. As Luo Luo and Jin Yulu were taking the injured Xuanyuan Po to a medical clinic, they were ambushed by Ye Shi Tan Lu, a top assassin from the Demon Race's Northern Dipper Seven Killers. Despite Jin Yulu's efforts, Ye Shi Tan Lu overpowered their guards.

Luo Luo bravely shielded Xuanyuan Po, taking a severe blow to her heart, causing her to spit blood and collapse. Mo Yu swiftly arrived, repelling Ye Shi Tan Lu and saving Luo Luo. Subsequently, Xu Yourong intercepted and killed Ye Shi Tan Lu. Mo Yu intended to take the critically wounded Luo Luo to imperial physicians, but Luo Luo vehemently insisted that only Chen Changsheng could heal her, a request Jin Yulu readily supported, bringing her to Chen Changsheng's care.

Mo Yu, the Empress's imperial maid, expressed strong doubt about Chen Changsheng's ability to heal Princess Luo Luo, given her severe injuries and the chaotic state of her Demon Race meridians from practicing human martial arts. Mo Yu stated that even the Empress might not be able to heal her, let alone a young man like Chen Changsheng.

However, Jin Yulu, confident in Chen Changsheng's medical skills, reassured Mo Yu and politely ushered her out, allowing Chen Changsheng to treat Luo Luo. With only Chen Changsheng and Luo Luo remaining, Luo Luo, believing her death was imminent, confessed her true identity as Bai Luo Heng, the Demon Race princess, hoping he would remember her.

Chen Changsheng, however, calmly stated that he only knew her as his disciple, Luo Luo, and that as her teacher, he couldn't let his newly accepted disciple die. He then proceeded to heal her, once again using a drop of his blood. Although the act saved Luo Luo, it was a perilous sacrifice that further diminished Chen Changsheng's already limited lifespan.

Jin Yulu later expressed concern about Chen Changsheng's self-sacrificing nature, warning him about the cumulative effect of blood loss on his meridians and lifespan. Chen Changsheng acknowledged his master's concern but quietly wondered if this was his destiny. Luo Luo, fully recovered, formally joined the National Academy and bowed to Chen Changsheng as her master, with Jin Yulu and Xuanyuan Po as witnesses.

She announced herself as Bai Luo Heng, princess of the Demon Race, but stated her commitment to the academy. Noticing the empty academy, Luo Luo, as Chen Changsheng's first disciple, immediately set her sights on Xuanyuan Po, attempting to persuade him to join. After Jin Yulu politely declined, she turned to Xuanyuan Po, promising to take him as her own disciple if he joined.

Xuanyuan Po was thrilled at the prospect of staying with Luo Luo and Chen Changsheng but worried his crippled arm and low cultivation would be an embarrassment. Luo Luo dismissed his concerns, confidently asserting that Chen Changsheng could easily heal such a minor injury. Luo Luo, now an enthusiastic disciple, proclaimed that once Chen Changsheng healed their meridians, they would bring glory to the National Academy and awe the Divine Capital.

She then asked Chen Changsheng if he had any wishes she could help fulfill. Chen Changsheng declared his intention to win first place in the Grand Court Examination. Luo Luo, brimming with confidence in her master, immediately supported him, saying he could achieve it on his own. Xuanyuan Po, initially skeptical, finding the goal somewhat laughable given Chen Changsheng's "refined" appearance and the high competition, was swayed by Luo Luo's unwavering faith and ultimately agreed.

That night, under a sky adorned with glittering stars, Chen Changsheng continued his quest to find his own life star. After persistent effort, he finally located it, marveling at its unusual, dazzling red brilliance, unlike any other star. He successfully guided the star into his life, declaring that he finally had a star of his own in the night sky. However, his achievement did not go unnoticed. Xu Yourong sensed the strange phenomenon, feeling a familiar connection.

Elsewhere, a black-robed figure immediately recognized the "crimson star shining in the sky" as an ominous sign, declaring its owner a great enemy of the demon race and ordering his followers to find and eliminate them without mercy. The Empress, too, observed the unprecedented celestial event, noting the star's fiery brilliance and the profound spiritual awareness of its owner.

She instructed Mo Yu to investigate and find this individual, believing them to be within the Divine Capital, though she deduced that without a star projection, their potential was likely limited despite their strong consciousness. Tang Sanshiliu enthusiastically presented a pair of newly designed "Chang Sheng's Wings" to Chen Changsheng, proposing to name them after him.

Chen Changsheng, ever practical, warned him about the wings' delicate tips, which might break in strong winds, and the untested landing mechanism, which could lead to unexpected trouble. Tang Sanshiliu, however, dismissed these concerns, boasting about his genius and his meticulously planned, flamboyant landing involving fireworks. He then rushed off to test them, but his flight was abruptly cut short by Mo Yu, who knocked him down for disturbing the capital's peace.

Despite being injured, Tang Sanshiliu, upon seeing Mo Yu, immediately began flirting, claiming she was so attracted to him that she couldn't help but attack him. Mo Yu, disgusted by his narcissism, slapped him and walked away, leaving Tang Sanshiliu to muse about the intensity of her "love." Mo Yu, following the trail of the mysterious life star, found herself at the entrance of the National Academy.

She saw Tang Sanshiliu enter and, curious, followed him inside, just in time to hear him dramatically recounting to Chen Changsheng how a beautiful woman, smitten with him, had attacked him from the sky and tried to take advantage of him, preventing him from completing his test flight. Mo Yu, realizing he was talking about her, erupted in anger, threatening to make him unable to descend from the sky again.

Tang Sanshiliu, unrepentant, continued to provoke her, claiming she was obsessed with him and had followed him to the academy. Their argument was interrupted by Luo Luo, who greeted Mo Yu warmly and defended Chen Changsheng, dismissing Tang Sanshiliu's words as nonsense. Mo Yu was shocked to learn that Luo Luo had indeed taken Chen Changsheng as her master.

Luo Luo, completely at ease, then announced she had brought a rare Ling Yao Mushroom for a midnight snack, further baffling Mo Yu, who began to suspect Chen Changsheng was more cunning than he appeared. During a visit to Xu Yourong, Mo Yu delivered a Ming Yu Pill from the Empress and discussed the ongoing situation.

Mo Yu, aware of the marriage contract between Xu Yourong and Chen Changsheng, also informed her about Luo Luo's deep devotion to Chen Changsheng and her recent acceptance as his disciple. Xu Yourong, who had previously learned of the marriage contract and felt a flicker of happiness, suppressed these emotions upon hearing about Luo Luo. Despite Mo Yu's firm belief that Qiu Shanjun was Xu Yourong's rightful match, Xu Yourong harbored no romantic feelings for Qiu Shanjun.

Burdened by her immense responsibilities, she felt unable to open her heart to Chen Changsheng. After much deliberation, she sent a Wind-Seeking Crane with a message of eight characters to Chen Changsheng: "We are now strangers; take care of yourself." Chen Changsheng, seeing the message, was momentarily saddened but ultimately felt no regrets, content as long as Xu Yourong was well.

Xu Yourong, having previously learned from the Empress that all Zhou Garden survivors were believed dead, questioned Mo Yu on the details. Mo Yu clarified that while many had died, a few bodies were never recovered, and their whereabouts remained unknown, suggesting they might still be alive. Xu Yourong, seeking information about the miniature world, obtained the names and backgrounds of these individuals from Mo Yu.

When she tracked down one of them, she found the person already deceased, killed by Xuan Youzi from the monster race. Following Xuan Youzi's trail with her star compass, Xu Yourong pursued him into a dense forest. However, the cunning Xuan Youzi used his innate abilities to skillfully evade her pursuit and disappear. It was in this very forest that Xu Yourong again encountered Chen Changsheng, who was busy collecting medicinal herbs.

Neither of them recognized the other at this time; Xu Yourong was unaware that this young man had once saved her, and Chen Changsheng did not realize the woman before him was his "Little Rong'er" from childhood. The mountain weather, ever-changing, suddenly shifted from clear skies to persistent rain.

Chen Changsheng, anxious about his incomplete herb collection, was surprised when Xu Yourong, who had briefly left, returned and conjured a magical umbrella for him, allowing him to continue his work unhindered. This gesture seemed to bridge a distance between them. As Chen Changsheng gathered herbs, he passionately described their various medicinal properties, and Xu Yourong, though not understanding the specifics, listened with keen interest.

She found this time with him to be the most relaxed and joyful she had experienced in years. On their way down the mountain, Xu Yourong confided a sense of helplessness, speaking as if to herself.

Though Chen Changsheng did not know the depth of her struggles, he picked a bunch of Worry-Relieving Grass for her, offering a silent message that despite life's hardships and frustrations, one can always choose to find happiness in the present moment if their heart has a direction. As they prepared to part ways with the Divine Capital in sight, Chen Changsheng revealed his name to Xu Yourong.

Hearing it, Xu Yourong was overcome with a mixture of shock, excitement, and complex emotions, recognizing that the young boy from her past had grown into the refined gentleman standing before her. Despite this profound realization, she chose not to reveal her own identity. Instead, she quietly returned to her residence, where she found Qiu Shanjun awaiting her.

As they exchanged pleasantries, a brilliant rainbow suddenly arced across the sky, captivating Xu Yourong and stirring a profound emotional response in Qiu Shanjun, who had never witnessed her looking so genuinely happy. However, only Xu Yourong knew that beneath her outward joy, a subtle sense of loss lingered in her heart, undoubtedly influenced by her encounter with Chen Changsheng.

Returning to the National Academy, Chen Changsheng was dismayed to discover Luo Luo secretly cultivating to the point of spitting blood. He made her promise to cease her forceful training. Committed to resolving the complex meridian issues plaguing both Luo Luo and Xuanyuan Po, Chen Changsheng immersed himself in ancient texts and diligently studied the intricate meridian charts of the Demon Race. Luo Luo, seeing her master's dedicated efforts on their behalf, happily leaned against him, content with his care.

After intense study and experimentation, Chen Changsheng successfully refined three pills. However, these fish-ball-like concoctions instilled terror in Luo Luo and Xuanyuan Po, while Tang Sanshiliu merely scoffed at them. Determined not to let her master lose face, Luo Luo bravely volunteered to test the pill, her hands trembling as she reached for it. Suddenly, Xuanyuan Po interjected, offering to take the pill in her stead.

Luo Luo let out a sigh of relief, which startled Xuanyuan Po, who instantly regretted his impulsive offer but found himself in a predicament. Seeing his resigned expression, Chen Changsheng, without further ado, administered the pill to him. Anxious, Chen Changsheng watched Xuanyuan Po's reaction. What began as a tolerable warmth rapidly escalated into an unbearable heat, causing smoke to billow from all of Xuanyuan Po's orifices. Chen Changsheng quickly intervened with acupuncture to stabilize him.

Concluding that his alchemy techniques were flawed, Chen Changsheng decided to seek guidance from a master alchemist. Jin Yulu seized the opportunity to inform him that Xuan Youzi, a reclusive Demon Race alchemist, resided in the Lan You Monastery not far from the Divine Capital. After some consideration, Chen Changsheng resolved to travel to Lan You Monastery to find Xuan Youzi.
