After much effort, Tai Tan arrived at the edge of the Douluo Continent and was preparing to find a ship to Seagod Island when he heard that the Martial Soul Hall was hunting down Tang Hao and his wife everywhere. Tai Tan immediately rushed back to Martial Soul City, only to find out that Tang Hao's wife had been killed and Tang Hao was seriously injured and missing. Tai Tan used his connections to inquire everywhere but found nothing.
Tai Tan led his people to attack the Martial Soul Hall, wanting to avenge Tang Hao. Qian Xunji was only focused on chasing down Tang Hao with his people, so Tai Tan thus offended the Martial Soul Hall and could only lead his entire clan to flee. They finally arrived at Tiandou City, where Prince Xue Xing took them in. Tai Tan asked Tang San about Tang Hao's whereabouts, wanting to apologize to him.
Tang San suspected that his father, Tang Hao, was behind the Cang Hui School. He only wanted to reach the finals so he could see his father. Tai Tan firmly believed in Tang Hao's character; he would never do anything harmful and unjust, much less hurt the innocent. Tang San did not want people to know about his relationship with Tai Tan and asked Tai Tan to keep it a secret.
