Just as Orchid was about to fall into the raging fire, some unknown force pulled her back. At the same time, the moon in the sky gradually became rounder, so round it seemed about to devour everything. The people of Liufang Pavilion quickly pulled out their weapons, but they turned to ash in their hands. Just as they turned to flee, the flames behind them swallowed them whole. In that full moon appeared a figure, who summoned Orchid over.

Suddenly, Orchid felt herself shrink, helpless as Dongfang Qingcang pinched her between his fingers. Die Yi didn’t know who the newcomer was, but she couldn’t allow anyone to ruin her grand plan. Yet Dongfang Qingcang’s power was boundless. With just a murderous glance, the small soldiers were reduced to ashes, and even she was seriously injured. She tried to find out who he was, but was immediately wrapped in a cloud of ominous black mist.

That dark mist then filled the entire Haishi City, turning people into clawing, monstrous creatures. Dongfang Qingcang released Orchid and gently caressed her delicate face with his sharp claw. Orchid thought he was going to silence her by killing her and quickly tried to leave. But unexpectedly, he claimed that she belonged to him and that he wouldn’t allow anyone to harm her. Orchid’s heart fluttered—she thought Dongfang Qingcang was confessing to her.

But since she truly didn’t like this great demon, she had to tactfully reject his feelings. Later, Orchid discovered that Dongfang Qingcang bore the Sacred Seal of the Xilan tribe. But she had only seen it in books and had no idea how to remove it. Dongfang Qingcang didn’t quite believe her, but when he pulled out her immortal root, he finally gave up.

Orchid was furious that Dongfang Qingcang had invaded her privacy and stormed off, unaware that the expensive elixir she just bought had fallen into his hands. Haishi City was fraught with danger, filled with dark mist and monsters. Suddenly, a masked man descended from the sky. With a wave of his hand, the monsters fell still. He then entered the Soul Transformation Ruins and restored its original appearance.

The monsters turned back into people and walked away as if nothing had happened. That masked man turned out to be the master of Haishi, Die Yi’s superior. Since the birth of Taiyi’s divine water and the dawn of the world, the Xilan tribe had lived in seclusion on Mount Xi, guarding the fiendish Taotie for the Three Realms. They had always remained neutral, never involving themselves in disputes. Any invasion of the Xilan would be a breach of righteousness.

But Dongfang Qingcang, who dominated the Three Realms with unmatched power, would never entrust his fate to a mere little flower spirit. As he said so, tears welled up in his eyes, and he nearly exploded in rage. Dongfang Qingcang secretly snuck into the Arbiter Hall and found Orchid with tearful eyes. Fearing being seen with a criminal immortal, Orchid tried to push him out.

But she was no match for him and could only watch helplessly as he swaggered in. During their argument, Dongfang Qingcang discovered the Destiny Book hidden on Orchid. She tried to take it back, but he made it disappear with a snap of his fingers. As he peeked into the book, he found the Chidi Women. Orchid hurried to retrieve it, but Dongfang Qingcang wouldn’t let go. In the struggle, the book was burned.

Five hundred years ago, Lord Changheng, heavily injured, wandered into a forest. As he lost consciousness, he saw a gentle woman. His subordinates arrived to report, pulling his thoughts back to the present. Ever since the abnormality at the Haotian Tower, all of Shuiyuntian had been searched, except for the Arbiter Hall. Lord Changheng went there himself but found nothing unusual. Meanwhile, Orchid was sobbing uncontrollably, and though Dongfang Qingcang was furious, he could do nothing.

Despite many attempts, Orchid couldn’t repair the Destiny Book. Orchid complained endlessly, shouting about how tired she was. Dongfang Qingcang had no choice but to agree to try again the next day. Worried about Orchid’s safety, he refused to leave her side—after all, their lives were now linked. Troubled, Orchid told him she already liked someone. Finally free of his watchful eye, she returned to her room only to find him lying on her bed.

She was both angry and flustered but had no solution. A man and woman alone in one room—she couldn’t fall asleep. Dongfang Qingcang, at a loss, had to obediently leave.
