Rong Hao returned to the cave and couldn’t help but recall the past upon seeing the stone bed. Thirty thousand years ago, in this same cave, he had planned to reunite with his master in the Xuanxu Realm, but Taisui suddenly appeared. Taisui claimed he could revive the Chidi Woman, but he wanted the life of the Xilan tribe’s goddess.

Rong Hao knew his master died for the sake of the world and had always been on good terms with the Xilan tribe. Yet he felt it was unfair. Since his master’s death, it was as if all of Shuiyuntian had forgotten her. Under Taisui’s relentless persuasion, he finally raised his sword and headed for Mount Xi. The Xilan tribe resisted with their lives and had no choice but to send the goddess away safely.

Rong Hao had initially planned to give up, but Taisui had already injected dark energy into the Chidi Woman. Her primordial spirit barely survived through this power. If Taisui died, her spirit would be destroyed as well. After a long struggle, Rong Hao made up his mind. To him, if it meant bringing his master back, the destruction of the three realms was a price worth paying.

Now, Taisui had used much of that dark energy to heal Rong Hao, leaving only a small amount remaining. In order to preserve the energy of both Taisui and the Chidi Woman, Rong Hao decided to refine himself in the Abyss. To create a chance encounter between Xie Wanqing and Xiao Run, Orchid specially invited Xie Wanqing for drinks at a restaurant. Though they hadn’t known each other long, Xie Wanqing felt an instant connection and readily accepted.

Having not spoken her heart in a long time, she shed her usual aloofness and revealed a shy, delicate side. She told Orchid that a few days ago she had met someone. He came walking under the moonlight and spoke a few words to her, but she was drunk and forgot them. He vanished like the wind, leaving no trace—yet he filled her heart completely.

Hearing this, Orchid immediately guessed the man she spoke of was Dongfang Qingcang, and an unexpected pang of jealousy arose in her heart. Dongfang Qingcang had been waiting at the door for a long time when Xiao Run finally arrived. Xiao Run told him he’d been constantly thinking of a beautiful lady, feeling as if they were fated from a past life, and had decided he would marry no one but her.

Dongfang Qingcang assumed he meant Xie Wanqing and quickly expressed his support. Xiao Run pounded the table in excitement, then walked to the center stage of the restaurant and ordered a portrait to be unfurled. Seeing the woman in the painting, Dongfang Qingcang was shocked—he had clearly erased Xiao Run’s memory, so how did he still have Orchid’s portrait?

Xiao Run told the crowd that the woman in the painting was the love of his life and asked for help in finding her, promising great reward. The audience murmured among themselves in surprise. Hearing the commotion, Orchid came out to check and was stunned to see her own portrait. Dongfang Qingcang was fuming with rage. He never expected Xiao Run would even want to become sworn brothers with him.

Thankfully, Shang Que reminded him to stay calm—only then were Xiao Run and Yunmeng Lake spared from disaster. For the sake of the Chidi Woman’s spirit, Dongfang Qingcang reluctantly agreed to the oath of brotherhood. Meanwhile, Shang Que and Jie Li hurried to take down Orchid’s portrait but were stopped by Xiao Run’s servant, Qu Shui. Jie Li found Qu Shui strikingly handsome and couldn’t help but steal a few glances, which made Shang Que jealous.

Seeing that Qu Shui was easy to fool, Jie Li spoke a few words and got him to obediently remove the painting. But that was only one—Orchid’s portraits had already been posted all over the streets and alleys of Deer City. As soon as Orchid and Dongfang Qingcang met, they started bickering. Dongfang Qingcang accused Orchid of secretly meeting with Xiao Run, while Orchid mocked him for flirting with Xie Wanqing during the Shangyuan Festival.

Their argument grew so heated that they forgot all about Xie Wanqing and Xiao Run. Coincidentally, the two were out looking for Orchid and Dongfang Qingcang and nearly bumped into them. Orchid and Dongfang Qingcang hastily hid in a cabinet. They thought this would help Xie Wanqing and Xiao Run meet, but the two merely passed by each other. Instead, the two in the cabinet, due to the close quarters, felt a sudden spark of intimacy.

When the coast was clear, Orchid and Dongfang Qingcang quickly returned to their room, only to accidentally trigger the Matchmaking Registry. Xiao Run had just found the goddess from his painting—Orchid, and Xie Wanqing had also met the man from her dreams—Dongfang Qingcang.
