Love Between Fairy and Devil Episode 1 Recap
> Love Between Fairy and Devil Recap
According to legend, Dongfang Qingcang, the Moon Supreme of the Moon Tribe, became an emotionless monster after practicing ancient forbidden magic. He personally killed his father, seized the Moon Supreme’s throne, commanded one hundred thousand Moon Tribe soldiers, and wreaked havoc through pillage and slaughter. The three realms—Shuiyuntian of the Immortal Realm, Cangyan Sea of the Moon Tribe, and Yunmeng Lake of the Human Realm—teetered on the brink of destruction.
The war goddess from the Chidi Women sacrificed herself to save the world, self-destructing her primordial spirit to perish alongside Dongfang Qingcang, sealing away the hundred thousand Moon Tribe soldiers. However, Dongfang Qingcang’s primordial spirit is immortal. Once he resurrects, hellfire will once again sweep through the three realms. Legend says that only the Goddess of Xishan can resolve this catastrophe, but she is nowhere to be found. Yujing of Shuiyuntian glitters brilliantly, radiant and beautiful.
The fairy Orchid slowly awakens from her slumber. Gazing at the maple tree outside, a thought strikes her, and she hurriedly gets up and runs out. These leaves are no ordinary leaves—they are Destiny Books, with each leaf recording a person’s fate across lifetimes. Orchid's duty is to sort and care for these Destiny Books, without interfering in anyone’s fate. Orchid’s master, the Arbiter, is the senior immortal who governs the Destiny Books. Their connection dates back a long time.
That beautiful senior immortal once sat carelessly drinking wine, cheeks flushed with laughter, unaware even when the wine bottle toppled. The spilled wine drenched a blooming Orchid flower, damaging its immortal roots, which is why Orchid’s cultivation and magical power have remained weak ever since. After teaching Orchid some skills, the Arbiter wandered off to the Human Realm and hasn’t returned for five hundred years. Yet Orchid has found her own joy, though she does occasionally feel lonely.
Other fairies don’t seem to like Orchid, perhaps because she plans to take the Immortal Exam and head to Yongquan Palace to repay Lord Changheng for saving her life. Once the war god Lord Changheng returned, he went straight to meet Lord Yunzhong, the Emperor of Shuiyuntian. However, he had no idea why Lord Yunzhong was so eager to summon him back. At this moment, the Haotian Tower was filled with hidden dangers and undercurrents—an ominous sign of impending disaster.
Lord Changheng soon learned that the Haotian Tower had become unstable and Dongfang Qingcang’s primordial spirit was about to break through the seal. Lord Yunzhong had summoned him back precisely to reinforce it. That day, several fairies came to the Arbiter Hall to adjust the Destiny Books and spoke about Lord Changheng’s return. Orchid was overjoyed upon hearing this and rushed off to pick the finest flowers to send to Yongquan Palace.
At the sight of Lord Changheng’s back, Orchid was already utterly smitten. Just as she was about to make a grand entrance before him, she accidentally got caught in a tree branch and tumbled to the ground in front of him. Orchid timidly offered him the flowers and thanked him excitedly, but he did not remember the incident. To him, it may have been just a trivial matter.
Orchid held her head high and confidently went to sign up for the Immortal Exam, only to be mocked by the other fairies. They didn’t even remember who she was and simply saw her as a clueless little flower spirit. Orchid solemnly introduced herself, vowing to defeat them soundly. However, she was also worried, as she couldn't afford the medicine needed to repair her immortal roots.
Her friends, despite their squabbles, were still willing to offer her spirit stones to help. Just when Orchid was rejoicing, Lord Changheng’s Destiny Book suddenly fell. She tried her best to repair it, but it was all in vain. This meant that Lord Changheng might perish tonight, body and soul. Thunder rumbled, dark clouds gathered. Immortal Lords assembled at the Haotian Tower to reinforce the seal.
Suddenly, a blinding light burst out from the tower, knocking away the weaker celestial soldiers. Lord Changheng rushed forward, but it was no use. Orchid was extremely anxious. She remembered what the Arbiter had once said: leaking the secrets of the Destiny Book would lead to heavenly punishment and complete annihilation. But she couldn't just stand by and watch Lord Changheng vanish. So she donned a mask and used her physical body to shield him from the attack.
By the time Lord Changheng reacted, Orchid had already fallen into the seal. Now that the seal was complete, how could Lord Yunzhong open it again? Orchid plummeted rapidly, her chest suddenly glowing, and she found herself adapting to the space. A mysterious force pulled her toward Dongfang Qingcang, and she even kissed him. When she woke up, she was in a snowy field, in front of a withered tree.
She gently touched the trunk, and a bit of snow fell from the barren branches. Orchid sneezed, only to find herself transported to a dark space, where a girl with her exact face sat ahead. Orchid cautiously approached, but the girl’s eyes were filled with murderous intent, and she threw Orchid to the ground. It slowly dawned on Orchid that she and Dongfang Qingcang had swapped bodies. Now, with Dongfang Qingcang’s magic power within her, she could break the seal—if she tried.
