Being a Hero Episode 32 (Ending) Recap
> Being a Hero Recap
In the lab, Chen Yu worked on the Yellow Capsules formula, stalling for time by frequently checking his watch, much to the anxious Yu Miao's frustration. Yu Miao tried to see the formula, but Chen Yu shielded it from view. Yang Xingquan arrived with Yang Ling, and Chen Yu insisted he would not proceed without seeing Wu Zhenfeng. Yang Xingquan reluctantly agreed.
During this time, Chen Yu activated a hidden tracker, transmitting his location at the Guangmang Mountain Tea Factory to the police. Meanwhile, Yang Ling had also prepared a powder extracted from the Yellow Capsules, meant to save Chen Yu at a critical moment. After a successful test on mice, Chen Yu still refused to begin mass production, infuriating Yang Xingquan, who pointed a gun at his head.
Yang Ling intervened, and Chen Yu demanded a phone call to confirm Wu Zhenfeng was alive. Yang Xingquan conceded. On the call, Chen Yu informed Wu Zhenfeng he was starting the production of 100 kilograms, instructing him to arrange the logistics with Sha and prepare to pick up the shipment at 1 AM, with Bones as his guide.
The police command center, having received Chen Yu's signal and intel from their informant Hui about the 1 AM pickup, began a full-scale mobilization. Surrounding police forces, including the Panther Commando unit, converged on Yunhe. Chen Liwen was appointed commander-in-chief of the joint operation. At a 3 PM briefing, Director Lin detailed the challenges of the terrain and the heavily armed nature of the foreign syndicate.
Chen Liwen issued three orders: complete deployment around Guangmang Mountain by 6 PM for an immediate assault, synchronize with cross-border and Hong Kong police, and seal all of Yunhe's borders to ensure no one escaped. Wu Zhenfeng entered the country via a remote path with Bones and quickly subdued him. He called Chen Liwen, offering to share the lab's location, but was told Chen Yu had already sent it and that his mission was over.
Learning the police were still an hour away, Wu Zhenfeng argued that Chen Yu couldn't hold out alone. He insisted that his knowledge of the Mengka syndicate would allow him to support Chen Yu and stall for time. Despite Chen Liwen's firm orders to retreat and observe from a distance, Wu Zhenfeng ignored the directive and headed for the tea factory. Inside the factory, a joint police operation was set in motion.
As a drone provided surveillance, Hong Kong police confirmed that Zhuo was wiring money to Li Yiqiong of Mengka, greenlighting a simultaneous cross-border arrest. While police raided the Mengka stronghold and apprehended Li Yiqiong, assault teams at the tea factory quietly swept through the sentry posts and surrounded the facility. As the raid began, Wu Zhenfeng arrived holding Bones captive.
Chen Yu subdued Erliang and confronted Yang Xingquan, revealing his identity as a police officer and declaring that the drug formula was fake. As gunfire erupted outside, a stunned Yang Xingquan realized he was trapped. Yu Miao, obsessively examining the fake drugs, was apprehended by the SWAT team. Bones and Erliang broke free and opened fire on Wu Zhenfeng and Chen Yu, who fought back together, managing to break through the encirclement.
A disoriented Yang Xingquan emerged from the factory to find Yang Ling calmly preparing tea. She offered him a final cup, and he realized she had known about Chen Yu's identity all along. With tears in her eyes, she confronted him about the life of crime he had forced upon her. At that moment, Lin Dezan arrived. Yang Xingquan defiantly accused Lin Dezan of using him in the past to cover up his own crimes.
Lin Dezan retorted that Yang Xingquan's downfall was not caused by drugs, but by the insatiable greed that had unleashed his inner evil. As Yang Xingquan was arrested, Lin Dezan turned to a weeping Yang Ling and told her that from now on, she should call him "Dad." Amidst the fierce gunfight, Wu Zhenfeng was shot and collapsed. Chen Yu rushed to his side, desperately trying to stop the bleeding as a call for an ambulance went out.
A struggling Wu Zhenfeng told Chen Yu he looked handsome in a police uniform, and Chen Yu tearfully promised to wear it for him if he survived. Hoisting Wu Zhenfeng onto his back, Chen Yu carried him toward safety, desperately urging him to stay awake. Through this arduous struggle, all involved drug traffickers were apprehended and brought to justice.
