Run Yu formally announced to the six realms that the Floral Realm would be sealed immediately. He declared his intention to destroy one type of plant each day until Jin Mi returned, justifying his actions as a way to restore order and dignity to the Heavenly Realm. He had earlier seriously wounded Chief Peony, deeming her attempt to resist a capital offense and threatening to make her the first to be punished.

When Mr. Hu protested, warning that the way of heaven lies in morality, not in force, Run Yu dismissed him. He then asserted his right to reclaim the power previously granted by the former Heavenly Emperor, emphasizing that everyone in the Floral Realm should recognize him as the supreme emperor and the sole ruler of the six realms. Unwilling to see Chief Peony suffer, Mr. Hu pleaded with Run Yu, offering himself for execution instead.

Other Chiefs also stepped forward, offering to sacrifice themselves for the Floral Realm. Liu Ying informed Xu Feng that the Heavenly Emperor had searched the Floral Realm, seriously wounded Chief Peony, and detained all the Chiefs. She noted that Run Yu's aggressive stance against the Floral Realm seemed uncharacteristic, especially after the Bird Family had already pledged allegiance to the Demon Realm.

Liu Ying speculated that Run Yu's fury stemmed from Jin Mi's rumored marriage escape, believing that only Xu Feng or Jin Mi could provoke such a reaction from him. Xu Feng, uncertain of the truth of Jin Mi's escape or her whereabouts, suspected that Run Yu's actions might be a ruse to reclaim the Floral Realm. Nevertheless, he instructed Liu Ying to deploy an elite troop near the Floral Realm to offer support if Run Yu's forces invaded.

When Liu Ying playfully remarked that Xu Feng still cared, he clarified that his actions were not out of old affections but rather a strategic alignment, as "the enemies of our enemy shall naturally be our allies." With Xu Feng's wedding approaching, he and Liu Ying continued their preparations, confident that the day's events would provoke Sui He to reveal her true nature.

Xu Feng expressed concern that his uncle, Moon Immortal, who had always disapproved of his marriage to Sui He, might disrupt the ceremony, but Liu Ying assured him she would handle it. Meanwhile, Yan You and Moon Immortal struggled to carry Moon Immortal's scepter, which secretly contained Jin Mi. They were in Sui He's palace, planning to swap her with Jin Mi.

Their plan was already in motion; Sui He had been incapacitated by an "ecstasy scent" prepared by Liu Ying and Xu Feng, and was expected to awaken in four hours. The Yujiang Palace buzzed with excitement as demon lords and dignitaries, including the King of Qing City, gathered for Xu Feng's wedding. Unbeknownst to most, Jin Mi, controlled by Yan You's puppet spell and veiled, was led into the hall by Moon Immortal.

Moon Immortal, having offered to preside over the ceremony, initially believed the bride was Sui He but accepted it for Xu Feng's happiness, though Xu Feng hinted at a hidden scheme. Amidst cheers for the Demon Lord, Xu Feng performed the ceremonial bows. For the first bow, he worshipped the Demon Realm's land, crediting it for his rebirth and proclaiming his eternal enmity towards the Heavenly Emperor.

For the second, he honored the King of Bian City for providing refuge when he was at death's door. During the exchange of bows between the couple, Jin Mi momentarily struggled against the puppet spell, but Yan You quickly regained control. Just as Moon Immortal declared the ceremony complete, the King of Qing City intervened, explaining the Demon Realm's unique marriage customs: a Demon Lord must marry only one woman he truly loves for life.

To ensure this, he presented the "heart-testing stone," which required a drop of blood from both the Demon Lord and the Queen. If their hearts were truly aligned, the stone would change color, validating the marriage as a perfect match that neither heaven nor earth could break, unless they willingly separated. Failure would invalidate the wedding.

When Xu Feng and the veiled bride pricked their fingers for the heart-testing stone, it glowed, confirming their bond and eliciting cheers from the demon crowd. However, the true bride, Sui He, burst into the hall, declaring the current empress and the stone fake. Before she could finish, Liu Ying also entered, immediately contradicting Sui He and asserting the stone's authenticity.

Xu Feng, who had assumed the veiled bride was Liu Ying as part of his plan, was astonished to see Liu Ying enter, questioning the identity of the veiled figure. Liu Ying then exposed Sui He's plot, detailing how Sui He had sneaked into the Great Demons Hall the previous night to swap the real heart-testing stone with a fake.

Liu Ying also revealed that she and two friends had retrieved the real stone from Sui He's residence just hours before the wedding, replacing the fake. Sui He, realizing she had been trapped, inadvertently confirmed Xu Feng's involvement by accusing him of being present during the swap. Liu Ying urged Xu Feng to stop deceiving himself. Xu Feng, understanding the full extent of the deception, tore off the veil, revealing Jin Mi.

Jin Mi, having broken free from Yan You's puppet spell, apologized to Xu Feng for disrupting his wedding. Moon Immortal then vehemently denounced Sui He, revealing that Jin Mi was Xu Feng's true savior. He explained how Jin Mi had selflessly sought the Light of Xuanqiong from his elder uncle on Snake Mountain, sacrificing her ability to perceive colors and nearly destroying her true form—a frost flower—to save Xu Feng.

Panicked, Sui He desperately tried to discredit Moon Immortal, reminding Xu Feng of Jin Mi's past actions and urging him not to believe them. However, Xu Feng walked towards Jin Mi, apologized for his past misunderstandings, and promised to compensate her. As they embraced, a furious Sui He attacked Jin Mi with her Pure Glazed Flame. Xu Feng swiftly pulled Jin Mi behind him and countered Sui He's attack, further deepening her heartbreak.

Sui He, heartbroken and enraged, finally understood that the entire wedding was a trap orchestrated by Xu Feng to expose her Pure Glazed Flame. Jin Mi confronted Sui He, accusing her of killing Luo Lin and Wind God, to which Sui He carelessly admitted, justifying her actions as being "all because of him." Jin Mi, seeking revenge for her father and Aunt Linxiu, attacked Sui He with her magic, and Xu Feng joined in, striking Sui He.

Sui He was utterly devastated, unable to comprehend how Xu Feng, whom she loved so deeply and for whom she had exhausted her spiritual power to protect his soul, could treat her in such a way. Despite Sui He's plea for a swift death, Xu Feng refused to kill her, acknowledging her past grace in saving him. However, he stripped her of her position as the Bird Family leader and abolished her Pure Glazed Flame.

Recognizing his own fault in her downfall, Xu Feng punished himself by relinquishing half of his magic power, declaring it a punishment for himself and a warning to Sui He. He then issued a decree across the Demon Realm: if Sui He reformed, she was to be left unharmed; if she remained unrepentant, she was to be killed on sight. As Xu Feng departed, Liu Ying warned Sui He that while Xu Feng might have spared her life, she herself had not, vowing to settle scores for Mu Ci.
