Liu Ying pursued Qi Yuan, demanding to know why he had entered Beiyuan Villa and possessed the Spirit-Vanishing Arrow. She also questioned why he had used his powers to save her. As they fought, Liu Ying recognized his fighting style as being identical to Mu Ci's, crying out that she knew it was him. Qi Yuan denied her accusations, claiming she had mistaken him for someone else, and refused to reveal his face, stating they were merely strangers.

Liu Ying persisted, asking if his target was Xu Feng and if he understood the dire consequences of harming Xu Feng's primordial spirit. Sensing his identity was compromised, Qi Yuan vanished, leaving Liu Ying distraught. Hidden nearby, Qi Yuan watched her sorrowfully. He recalled a sweet memory of Liu Ying giving him a heart-shaped pendant, and his promise to wear it close to his heart until his last breath.

Looking at the pendant he still wore, he murmured an apology for breaking his promise. Meanwhile, Xu Feng continued his charade of illness, summoning Jin Mi daily. He complained of various ailments, including dyspnea, shortness of breath, a splitting headache, poor appetite, and insomnia. Jin Mi, observing his seemingly normal pulse, grew increasingly perplexed. Xu Feng hinted that his symptoms worsened in her absence and eased when she was near, then feigned dissatisfaction with her inability to diagnose him.

Back in her chambers, Jin Mi discussed Xu Feng's condition with Qiang Huo, who suggested he might be lovesick. Jin Mi dismissed the idea, as no medical book mentioned such an ailment and Xu Feng had never seen her face. Later, a messenger delivered a letter from Duke Nanping, demanding answers within five days, which Jin Mi quickly hid from Qiang Huo.

House staff gossiped about King Yi's frequent summons of the Saint Girl, noting his unusual interest and the fresh fruits he sent her daily. They also remarked on his surprisingly good appetite and mentioned that Jin Mi herself had fallen ill and hadn't eaten for two days.

Qiang Huo pressed Jin Mi about returning to the Saint Doctor Family, but Jin Mi insisted they could not leave until King Yi was cured, fearing disgrace to their family or even being buried with him if he died. Jin Mi soon fell ill with a cold. Xu Feng, upon hearing the news, rushed to her chambers and anxiously scolded Qiang Huo for her inability to cure a minor ailment.

Jin Mi overheard, wondering if his anger stemmed from her absence, but also noted his robust health. Xu Feng then dismissed Qiang Huo and gently fed Jin Mi grapes. Their intimate interaction was observed from afar by Run Yu, who silently vowed that while he had yielded to Xu Feng his entire life, he would not do so when it came to Jin Mi. He also inquired about the Saint Girl's name, learning it was Jin Mi.

That night, Yan You infiltrated Qi Yuan's chamber to steal the Spirit-Vanishing Arrow, which he recognized as a weapon his foster mother, the Heavenly Empress, had described. Qi Yuan discovered him, and a fierce battle ensued. Realizing he was no match for the formidable Qi Yuan, Yan You was unable to stop him from escaping with the arrow.

Elsewhere, Princess Sui He was confronted by a messenger from the Heavenly Empress, who attempted to unseal her immortal memories, leaving her confused and resistant. The next morning, Xu Feng inquired about Jin Mi's recovery. Jin Mi, noting his radiant complexion and steady pulse, still found no signs of illness. Xu Feng admitted that while he might have exaggerated his symptoms, the feelings of discomfort were genuine. Drawing on Qiang Huo's suggestion, Jin Mi finally diagnosed him with lovesickness.

Delighted, Xu Feng asked if she wished him to be sick or healthy, and she replied healthy. Their conversation was interrupted by Qiang Huo, who knelt and apologized for her intrusion. Xu Feng remarked that Qiang Huo's name sounded familiar. Jin Mi then lightheartedly suggested that the herb "Qiang Huo" could be used to treat his "kidney deficiency," much to his embarrassment.

Changing the subject, Xu Feng asked what kind of lantern she liked for the upcoming Lantern Festival, and she chose the phoenix lantern. Later, Qiang Huo again urged Jin Mi to return home, but Jin Mi reiterated her duty to stay. Qiang Huo challenged her, questioning whether she was truly unable to leave or simply unwilling. Meanwhile, Liu Ying was tormented by dreams of her past with Mu Ci.

She relived a harrowing encounter with the Nether Fury, where Mu Ci, despite her pleas, created an escape path for her and absorbed the backlash of the terrifying force himself. Waking in distress, Liu Ying lamented his refusal to acknowledge her. That night, Jin Mi received another pressuring letter from Duke Nanping. Overwhelmed, she stepped out for air, only to be ambushed by Qi Yuan with a Spirit-Vanishing Arrow. Just in time, Run Yu appeared and blocked the arrow.

After a brief fight, Qi Yuan retreated. Jin Mi thanked Run Yu, speculating that Duke Nanping might be behind the attack. Run Yu, noting the arrow was not a mortal weapon, assured her he would investigate. He then gave Jin Mi a dragon scale, instructing her to use a dragon-summon spell if she ever needed him. Jin Mi admired the scale, remarking that its cool, sweet scent was exactly like his.

Run Yu then invited her to watch the epiphyllum flowers with him in ten days, fulfilling a promise from the Heaven Realm. Jin Mi happily agreed. Back in the Heaven Realm, Immortal Yuanji confronted Run Yu for interfering in Jin Mi's tribulation, reminding him of the Heavenly Emperor's strict orders. Run Yu countered, blaming Yuanji for negligence, as Jin Mi was nearly killed by a non-mortal attacker.

He asserted his right to protect his fiancée and intimidated Yuanji by reminding her of Jin Mi's powerful parentage as the daughter of the former Floral and Water Immortals. He warned that Jin Mi's tribulation was merely a formality and that if any harm befell her, the blame would fall squarely on Yuanji, advising her to know "which eye to open and which to close."

Meanwhile, Duke Nanping and Minister Fu awaited King Yi for a meeting, growing worried by rumors of his serious illness. Suddenly, they heard a violent coughing fit from inside his chambers. Ignoring General Qin's attempts to stop them, Duke Nanping rushed in to find Xu Feng coughing up fresh blood.
