Hu Rong brought A-Se to a martial arts school, having found a note with the address. She spoke with the principal, who informed her that A-Se had been recommended by the Education Bureau but had not yet reported for the term. The principal noted that A-Se seemed to have some cognitive impairment, but also possessed unique talents, believing his condition could improve with treatment.

Hu Rong, still concerned and wanting to know more about A-Se's family, learned that he appeared to have no family. Before leaving for the police station, Hu Rong spoke with A-Se, who asked her to ensure Liu Ziguang, whom he referred to as "Sect Leader," would acknowledge him. Meanwhile, Uncle Guo woke up to find Liu Ziguang missing. He located Liu Ziguang at a nearby school track field, running with incredible speed.

As he heard a sharp whistle on the track, Liu Ziguang experienced a vivid flashback of a drug base, compelling him to run frantically. Uncle Guo was astonished by Liu Ziguang's newfound agility, a skill Liu Ziguang himself was aware of, fueling his desire to understand what happened during his eight years of lost memory. Nie Wanfeng received a phone report from his subordinate, Brother Hu, about Liu Ziguang's amnesia, but he remained unconvinced.

He speculated that Liu Ziguang was either trying to turn over a new leaf or concealing his identity for other motives. Nie Wanfeng recalled their shared past, including how they became sworn brothers after Liu Ziguang was injured defending him at a casino. He also remembered their time at a drug base, where Liu Ziguang trafficked drugs and killed alongside him. Nie Wanfeng recounted securing $100 million in a safe, which required both their passwords and fingerprints to open.

He considered Liu Ziguang's current situation a brilliant move to erase his past and escape police investigation. He ordered Brother Hu to thoroughly investigate whether Liu Ziguang’s amnesia was genuine or a pretense, deeming it crucial for determining how to deal with him. Later, Uncle Guo took Liu Ziguang to buy new clothes for a security guard interview at Zhicheng Property Management.

Liu Ziguang worried that his lack of education and household registration would hinder his chances, but Uncle Guo assured him that his physical abilities, combined with Uncle Guo's connections with the security team leader, Team Leader Bai (who owed him favors for bike repairs), would secure him the job. Unbeknownst to them, Hu Rong followed them, still suspicious about Liu Ziguang's possible special training. At the property, Little Li introduced Liu Ziguang to Team Leader Bai.

Team Leader Bai questioned Liu Ziguang about his silence, asking if he was mute, before offering him a probationary position. As Liu Ziguang and Little Li were leaving, Team Leader Bai implicitly asked Liu Ziguang to buy him cigarettes. Liu Ziguang refused, stating he didn't smoke and Team Leader Bai hadn't provided money. At this moment, Liu Ziguang noticed Hu Rong still discreetly watching him.

He approached her, offering a bottle of water, acknowledging her hard work in following him all morning. Hu Rong, in turn, told him she would investigate everything about him, to which Liu Ziguang replied he hoped she would share anything she found. Soon after, a tenant named Mr. Feng, who had illegally parked, got into an altercation with a security guard. Uncle Guo tried to mediate but was struck by Mr. Feng.

Upon seeing this, Liu Ziguang intervened decisively, striking Mr. Feng and knocking him to the ground. Mr. Feng, infuriated, sought help from Sun Wei, a local gangster. Sun Wei, who already held a grudge against Liu Ziguang, consulted with his boss, Hou Sihai, and was given permission to retaliate. Back at the property, Team Leader Bai informed Liu Ziguang that he was fired for assaulting a tenant.

Liu Ziguang countered by reciting relevant articles from the security code of conduct, leaving Team Leader Bai speechless. Just then, Little Li rushed over to warn Liu Ziguang that Mr. Feng had returned with a group of thugs. Fearless, Liu Ziguang walked out to confront them. Among the thugs were Bei Xiaoshuai and Zhuo Li, who recognized Liu Ziguang. They decided to call the police, and Hu Rong and Captain Han were dispatched to the scene.

Liu Ziguang faced off against over ten armed thugs alone, skillfully maneuvering through them and quickly subduing several. As Hu Rong and Captain Han arrived, they found many of the thugs already incapacitated. Team Leader Bai, witnessing the scene, accused Liu Ziguang of assaulting an owner and engaging in a mob fight. To gather evidence, Captain Han and Hu Rong reviewed the surveillance footage. The video clearly showed Liu Ziguang's impressive combat skills.

Captain Han concluded that Liu Ziguang had acted in self-defense and ordered the thugs arrested for mob fighting. He then instructed Hu Rong to take Liu Ziguang for a medical evaluation. Hu Rong escorted Liu Ziguang to the hospital for a physical examination and full body scan. While undergoing a CT scan, Liu Ziguang suddenly experienced a terrifying flashback to a drug base, startling him upright. Hu Rong firmly pushed him back down.

The doctor later informed Hu Rong that Liu Ziguang had an abnormality in his hippocampus, the part of the brain responsible for memory and learning, which could explain his amnesia. The doctor also noted Liu Ziguang's unusually high skeletal muscle mass, suggesting he had undergone long-term, high-intensity training, possibly like a professional boxer. These findings deepened Hu Rong's suspicion that Liu Ziguang harbored a significant past. Outside the hospital, Liu Ziguang assisted a blind man across the street.

Witnessing this, Hu Rong felt a change of heart and sincerely apologized to him. Liu Ziguang then led Hu Rong to a small, authentic restaurant, explaining that his father had owned it before being murdered there. He said he was being transparent to show he had nothing to hide. Hu Rong then asked if he knew Zhuo Li, the person who had called the police earlier, and Liu Ziguang, surprised and pleased, confirmed that Zhuo Li was his childhood friend.

Liu Ziguang later found Zhuo Li's boxing club, an old warehouse he had converted from Chengguang Factory. Both Zhuo Li and Bei Xiaoshuai were overjoyed to see him, reminiscing about their childhood as the "Three Musketeers" of Chengguang Factory. Unconvinced by reports of Liu Ziguang's fighting prowess, Liu Ziguang stood up and demonstrated his skills, leaving his friends dumbfounded.

He then sadly revealed his amnesia, admitting he had no memory of the past eight years, which was a source of great pain for him. Meanwhile, Sun Wei's subordinate, Monkey, was scolded for the failed attempt to deal with Liu Ziguang. Monkey hesitantly asked if Sun Wei would report the failure to their boss.

Sun Wei rebuked him, ordering him to gather more men and weapons for another attack on Liu Ziguang, and to also identify and deal with whoever called the police earlier. Later, while visiting Uncle Guo at the hospital, Liu Ziguang received a phone call from an unknown man who introduced himself as Sun Wei. Sun Wei claimed to have Liu Ziguang's two friends, and Liu Ziguang, hearing their cries over the phone, rushed to the old warehouse where his childhood friends lived.
