Word of Honor Episode 20 Recap
> Word of Honor Recap
Inspired by Ye Baiyi, Long Que finally understood that parents sometimes withhold things from their children because they cannot give them. He hoped Long Xiao would understand his intentions. Long Que asked Zhou Zishu to retrieve two maps from the library to the right of the bamboo building—one of Longyuan Valley and one of the Armory’s mechanisms. He entrusted the mechanism diagram to Ye Baiyi.
Long Que also compiled the techniques of the Longyuan Pavilion into two books and gave them to Zhou Zishu, asking him to find a suitable successor. Zhou Zishu recommended Zhang Chengling to be his disciple, which Long Que gladly accepted. Zhang Chengling immediately knelt and acknowledged him as master. With his wish fulfilled, Long Que asked Zhou Zishu to cut the iron chains embedded in his body.
Wen Kexing urged him to reconsider, warning that the chains had been embedded too long—cutting them could disrupt his blood flow and be life-threatening. But Long Que didn’t want to face his fallen brothers in the afterlife still wearing chains, fearing their ridicule. Wen Kexing, choking back his grief, cut the chains. Long Que was severely weakened and soon near death. Zhou Zishu held Wen Kexing tightly and encouraged him to reveal his true identity to Long Que.
Wen Kexing couldn’t bring himself to admit that he was Zhen Ruyu’s son, Zhen Yan. Zhou Zishu revealed the truth to Long Que: Qin Huaizhang had helped Zhen Ruyu’s family alter their appearance and took Zhen Yan as his disciple. Zhen Yan had since grown up and become a skilled martial artist. Long Que was gratified and passed away with a smile.
Wen Kexing collapsed in grief beside Long Que’s body, wailing in sorrow and thanking him for telling the truth. Zhou Zishu quickly pulled Zhang Chengling away. Gu Xiang stayed by Cao Weining’s side, tending to him with utmost care. When Cao Weining heard that his master had returned early with the other disciples, he suspected the master had taken the Glazed Armor and worried about trouble befalling the Qingfeng Sword Sect.
He struggled to get up to confront the matter, but Gu Xiang firmly refused. Cao Weining wanted to take her along, and Gu Xiang, eager to investigate the Glazed Armor’s whereabouts, agreed. Yu Qiufeng learned that Zhao Jing had seduced and then abandoned Luo Fumeng, turning her into a ruthless killer.
He wanted to use this to bring Zhao Jing down in disgrace, but Liu Qianqiao disagreed, knowing Yu Qiufeng couldn’t become leader of the Five Lakes Alliance even if Zhao Jing fell. Yu Qiufeng planned to use Luo Fumeng to blackmail Zhao Jing into revealing the location of the Glazed Armor and use the Yin-Yang Codex from the Armory to remake Liu Qianqiao. Liu Qianqiao was instantly tempted.
Zhao Jing, once in power, began expanding the influence of the Five Lakes Alliance by using its sects. Proud of himself, he was still uneasy about Gao Xiaolian and Zhang Chengling. Under the guise of righteousness, Zhao Jing asked the sects to search for them. He intended to restart the Heroes Conference to cement his authority in the martial world.
He sent the Scorpion King to eliminate Bai Qifeng, head of the Xianxia Sect, and Long Xiao, who both knew too much about the past. Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu relentlessly pressured Long Xiao to reveal who framed Gao Chong, threatening to kick him off a cliff. Long Xiao swore never to speak and jumped into a cave, ringing a bell to summon the medicine men. They surrounded him and drained his blood.
Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing watched as Long Xiao died tragically. They took Zhang Chengling to the library to find the two maps. Ye Baiyi soon arrived and visited Yu Zhui’s grave. The Scorpion King’s men witnessed this and quickly returned to report. Gu Xiang came to bid farewell to Liu Qianqiao, urging her to leave Mount Hua with Luo Fumeng as soon as possible. She didn’t trust Yu Qiufeng, but Liu Qianqiao made various excuses.
Zhou Zishu wanted to take Wen Kexing and Zhang Chengling back to Four Seasons Manor to reunite with their sect. Wen Kexing resisted, recalling the past—Zhen Ruyu’s meridians were severed by the Chief of the Valley of the Divine Healer. He fled with his wife Miaomiao and son Zhen Yan, hunted by martial artists. Luckily, Qin Huaizhang arrived in time to save them. His disciple Zhou Zishu became close friends with Zhen Yan.
Qin Huaizhang altered their appearances and took Zhen Yan back to Four Seasons Manor as his disciple. Zhou Zishu wanted to take Wen Kexing back to revive the Four Seasons Manor and help train Zhang Chengling together. Wen Kexing strongly refused, ashamed to return. Zhou Zishu believed he had gone through unspeakable things over the years. Wen Kexing ran to the lakeside, standing there lost in sorrow.
