Kang Shaojie insisted that Shen Jinzhen was a Communist Party member. Shen Tunan demanded a face-to-face confrontation with Li Chengda. Kang Shaojie was immediately speechless; he hadn't caught Li Chengda yet. Shen Tunan gave him an ultimatum: if he didn't release Shen Jinzhen, he would publicize Kang Shaojie's and the reconnaissance team's accounts at the Central Bank in the newspapers tomorrow, letting the public see how they were lining their own pockets.

Kang Shaojie was furious, swearing he would shoot Shen Jinzhen. Shen Tunan was enraged, ready to fight Kang Shaojie to the bitter end. Shen Tunan came to the prison to pick up Shen Jinzhen.
