Wei Ruolai and Jiang Huhao and his group drank together. It was only then that he learned they had participated in the strike parade and even clashed with the police. The police surrounded the rickshaw pullers' residence overnight. When Jiang Huhao learned about this, he immediately took his brothers back to settle the score with the police without saying a word. Wei Ruolai couldn't persuade Jiang Huhao, so he had to go with them.

Xiaoyuer suddenly had appendicitis and a persistent high fever. The ambulance couldn't get through at all because of the workers' parade. Shen Jinzhen drove Su Cishu and Xiaoyuer to the hospital. The car was stuck in the middle of the parade route and couldn't move. Wei Ruolai saw Shen Jinzhen from afar and asked Jiang Huhao for help. Jiang Huhao found two rickshaws and took Shen Jinzhen, Su Cishu, and Xiaoyuer to the hospital.

The medical staff did their best to save Xiaoyuer. Shen Jinzhen expressed her gratitude to Wei Ruolai. Seeing that Wei Ruolai was against the workers' strike, she explained the significance of the workers rising up to resist. Wei Ruolai was very sympathetic to the plight of Jiang Huhao and others, but he still felt that marching was not the way to solve the problem. Shen Jinzhen was very angry and petulantly ignored him.

The doctor performed craniotomy on Li Chengda, and he finally woke up. When Lin Qiaosong learned about this, he immediately rushed to the ward, eager to know who the murderer was. Lin Qiaosong was immediately tempted. Xiaoyuer had her appendix removed.

Shen Jinzhen and Su Cishu took great care of her in the hospital, and her condition gradually improved. Shen Jinzhen went to call Nurse Li to change Xiaoyuer's dressing. When she learned that Nurse Li had given an injection to the patient in Ward 317, Shen Jinzhen went to look for Nurse Li. Nurse Li was giving an injection to Li Chengda in Ward 317. Li Chengda took the opportunity to hold her hostage.

The reconnaissance team outside heard the commotion and rushed in to see what was happening. Li Chengda held one of them hostage, demanding to see Lin Qiaosong. Biaozi rushed over upon hearing the news and forcibly took Li Chengda back to the ward, also sedating him. Shen Jinzhen saw this scene from a distance. She immediately called Xu Nuo to report.

Xu Nuo had seen Li Chengda fall to the ground and die with his own eyes, so he didn't expect him to still be alive. Shen Jinzhen, disguised as a nurse, came to the ward on the floor above 317. She used a rope to enter Li Chengda's ward through the window, first killing the guard, and then smothering Li Chengda with a pillow. Lin Qiaosong came to the ward to see Li Chengda.

Shen Jinzhen quickly escaped by the rope outside the window and quietly returned to Xiaoyuer's ward. Lin Qiaosong saw that Li Chengda was still alive and quickly called for medical staff to rescue him. He sent Biaozi with people to search for the killer. Although Li Chengda was saved, he couldn't speak a word. Lin Qiaosong promised to transfer him to another hospital tomorrow. Lin Qiaosong transferred Li Chengda early in the morning.

Shen Jinzhen and Su Cishu were taking Xiaoyuer for a walk in the courtyard. Lin Qiaosong actively greeted Shen Jinzhen. Li Chengda stared intently at Shen Jinzhen, but he couldn't speak. When Xu Nuo learned about this, he told Shen Jinzhen to transfer quickly to avoid revealing her identity. Shen Jinzhen hurried home to pack her luggage. Shen Jinzhen was packing her luggage, preparing to leave. Shen Tunan happened to call home.

Su Cishu asked Shen Jinzhen to answer the phone. Shen Jinzhen lied and said she was going on a business trip to Suzhou. She reluctantly said goodbye to Shen Tunan on the phone. Lin Qiaosong reported Li Chengda's conditions to Kang Shaojie. Kang Shaojie weighed the pros and cons and reluctantly agreed. He wrote a note and had Lin Qiaosong go to the Central Bank to withdraw ten gold bars.

The reconnaissance team came to the Central Bank to withdraw the gold bars. Wei Ruolai asked them to fill out the purpose as required. They filled in 'intelligence funds'. Wei Ruolai brought out ten gold bars for them to verify. They inadvertently revealed that the gold bars were to be delivered to the Ritsha Hotel. Wei Ruolai immediately became alert. He went directly to the Ritsha Hotel to book a room. From the front desk staff, he learned that the sixth floor was not open to the public, so he chose a room on the fifth floor.
