Snow Eagle Lord Episode 19 Recap
> Snow Eagle Lord Recap
Despite the black mist having dispersed, a lingering smell of demonic energy remains. Yu Jingqiu notes the strange phenomenon and the complex, dangerous environment, warning that investigating could easily destroy clues or endanger everyone. She suggests it would be best if DongBo Xueying could investigate with them, but he is held in the Thunderstorm Prison. One of their companions proposes a plan to help him. They go to the Thunderstorm Prison, where DongBo Qingshi urges DongBo Xueying to leave.
They decide to swap clothes, with DongBo Qingshi pretending to be his brother to buy time while DongBo Xueying leaves with Yu Jingqiu to search for evidence. DongBo Qingshi expresses confidence in his ability to impersonate his brother from a distance. As they prepare to swap, Situ Hong approaches. They quickly hide behind a bookshelf as Situ Hong speaks with the guards outside before leaving. After the close call, DongBo Qingshi gets on the bed, and DongBo Xueying leaves.
Meanwhile, the elders debate Cui Yong's death. Some insist DongBo Xueying must be punished, but Master Sikong intervenes, arguing that it is too early to place blame before a thorough investigation. Another elder suggests they speak with DongBo Xueying to understand the situation. When they arrive at the prison, DongBo Qingshi, pretending to be his brother, initially avoids facing them.
When the elders accuse DongBo Xueying of heinous acts, DongBo Qingshi turns and passionately defends him, insisting on his innocence and criticizing them for making conclusions without investigation. The elders are surprised to see DongBo Qingshi and demand to know DongBo Xueying's location. DongBo Qingshi feigns ignorance. Some elders suspect DongBo Xueying fled due to guilt, but Chi Qiubai vouches for him, believing he is searching for evidence and will return, offering to find him and uncover the truth.
Elsewhere, Ao Lan receives news that DongBo Xueying has escaped and orders his followers to track him down for his own purposes. DongBo Xueying and his companions search the trial area, where they discover a Black Armored Warrior mask and Si Borong's body, confirming their suspicion that the Demon Clan was involved. Separately, Chi Qiubai confronts Ao Lan over his relentless pursuit of DongBo Xueying.
Ao Lan asserts that Xueying, having just become a Transcendent, is at the peak of his power and must be utilized. To protect his disciple, Chi Qiubai offers to take his place in the Demon Clan's plans. Ao Lan agrees to the exchange, demanding Chi Qiubai prove his loyalty later. DongBo Xueying and his companions bring Si Borong's body back to Changfeng Academy.
He explains that both Cui Yong and Si Borong were killed by the Demon Clan, not by him. Situ Hong expresses deep grief and vows revenge. Yu Jingqiu examines Si Borong's body and confirms the presence of demonic fire corrosion, with symptoms she witnessed in the Sea God Palace battle.
DongBo Xueying clarifies that this demonic fire has a delayed effect, which is why the elders didn't detect it earlier, and accuses the Demon Clan of exploiting this to sow discord. Convinced by the evidence, the elders realize spies have infiltrated the academy. They clear DongBo Xueying's name and redirect their focus to the Demon Clan threat. At Xueying Territory, Ji Rong's gambler father, Ji Wuhai, arrives looking for her.
Ji Rong is angry but, given the late hour, asks Zong Ling and Tong San to let her father stay the night. She gives him money, ordering him to leave the next day. Ji Wuhai then emotionally manipulates her, criticizing her as a half-demon unwanted by either side and arguing she needs him. Enraged by the memory of her mother's death, which he caused, Ji Rong threatens him before storming off.
The next morning, Ji Wuhai takes the money, loses it all gambling, and brings his creditors back to Xueying Territory. Ji Rong drives them away, but Ji Wuhai begs to stay, subtly threatening to expose her secret. Zong Ling, though suspicious of Ji Rong, allows Ji Wuhai to stay temporarily out of consideration for DongBo Qingshi, deciding to wait for DongBo Xueying's return to resolve the matter.
Chi Qiubai deduces the Demon Clan seeks new Transcendents because their Black Armored Warriors are not powerful enough, making a young, strong Transcendent like DongBo Xueying a prime target. He knows they don't trust him and intend to implant the painful Soul Scouring Nail in him for control. In his conversation with Ao Lan, Chi Qiubai expresses his surprise that Xueying overcame the nail's influence to become Transcendent, acknowledging his genius.
He admits to interfering in the trial to protect his disciples. As part of their deal, Chi Qiubai agrees to accept the Soul Scouring Nail on the condition that the one in DongBo Xueying's body is removed. Ao Lan provides a pill and explains the nail will transfer to Chi Qiubai using his blood as a catalyst, warning that the nail will return to Xueying if it leaves Chi Qiubai's body.
Chi Qiubai secretly resolves to find a way to destroy it. Later, Chi Qiubai hosts a celebratory dinner for DongBo Xueying, Yu Jingqiu, and Pu Yangbo. They enjoy fish caught by DongBo Xueying and share treasured wine. Chi Qiubai toasts his student's achievement, reminding him that becoming Transcendent comes with the responsibility to protect the Xia Clan. DongBo Xueying affirms this but states his priority is to first rescue his mother. They drink until everyone but Chi Qiubai passes out.
Looking at the unconscious Xueying, Chi Qiubai reflects on the immense pain his student must have endured from the nail. Resolved, he takes the pill from Ao Lan and uses his own blood to transfer the Soul Scouring Nail from DongBo Xueying into himself, silently enduring the agony. Ao Lan then appears, impressed by Chi Qiubai's composure, and tells him it is time for them to leave.
