She and Her Perfect Husband Episode 2 Recap
> She and Her Perfect Husband Recap
As his mother had predicted, Yang Hua moved into the hotel across the street but struggled to adapt. The next morning, Tang Yihui brought Qin Shi to the yoga studio where President Lan usually practiced. Since Li Dai had offended Zhao Danping, Tang aimed to win back favor with President Lan and didn’t want to lose such a major client. Qin Shi asked why Tang was so intent on keeping President Lan. Tang confided in her.
Before marrying her, Jin Cheng had dated someone else for seven or eight years. They only broke up before he married Tang. At the time, Jin Cheng’s family strongly opposed the marriage, since his ex came from a wealthy background and marrying her would have meant an easier life. Tang had snooped into the ex’s background and discovered she had married a listed company’s CEO.
Tang felt Jin Cheng had lost out, and now she wanted to bring in President Lan and her resources to increase Jin Cheng’s worth. At the gym, Yang Hua chatted with his friend Cai Liang. He realized his mother had kicked him out not just to force him to marry, but also to push him to get a job. Cai Liang agreed that a top student like Yang Hua shouldn’t be hiding out at home and should find work.
But Yang Hua felt his current lifestyle was fine—free and stress-free, and he made more money trading than people with regular jobs. Given the high divorce rates, he didn’t see the point of marriage. Cai Liang argued that white lies were sometimes okay and that bending flawed rules for a good job wasn’t necessarily wrong. But Yang Hua disagreed, believing that these corrupt norms should be fixed, not avoided or accepted.
Tang Yihui called President Lan hoping to have morning tea, but Lan said she was away on a business trip and had handed over association matters to Zhao Danping. Tang was told to deal with her instead. Meanwhile, Li Dai tried to assign work to Wu Fei, who declined because she was already handling a case for Qin Shi. Li Dai took this as Wu Fei siding with Qin Shi.
Although a colleague warned Wu Fei about offending Li Dai, she didn’t take it seriously. Qin Shi gathered her team to report on Zhao Danping. She called on Wu Fei, but Wu Fei was unprepared. Qin Shi told her to investigate the matter thoroughly—relationships alone wouldn’t help anyone keep a job here. Qin Shi concluded that Zhao Danping was emotional, responsible, proud, and principled—someone who hated being played.
Since the firm had caused her to suffer silently, their meeting might not go smoothly. Tang urged Qin Shi to do her best and handle the matter well. Tang Yihui met with Zhao Danping and apologized for the firm representing her ex-husband. Zhao shot back sharply. Luckily, Qin Shi responded swiftly, offering an explanation and expressing hope to take on the association’s legal work.
Zhao made two demands: the firm must provide legal consulting for free and recover the 12 million yuan given to her ex-husband. Qin Shi directly asked if Zhao was testing their ethics—after all, the issue concerned professional integrity. Zhao admired their principles and agreed to work with the firm, assigning Li Dai as her legal contact. Though a bit disappointed she wasn’t chosen, Qin Shi didn’t bring up the divorce agreement.
Wu Fei, isolated after offending Li Dai and scolded by Qin Shi for poor performance, turned to her boyfriend Tao Junhui for comfort. Tao reassured her that she could always come home and live a pampered life if she got tired—he’d take care of her. Meanwhile, colleague Zhou Qianqian used Qin Shi’s name to ask Wu Fei for information on President Lan and demanded the report by the afternoon.
Zhou later presented the incomplete report to Qin Shi, but Wu Fei provided the missing details. Zhou falsely claimed they had worked on it together. Wu Fei found out that President Lan would attend a charity dinner the next evening—but Qin Shi could only attend if accompanied by a family member. To appease his mother and return home, Yang Hua decided to rent a girlfriend online and asked Cai Liang for help.
To his surprise, the person who showed up was Qin Shi. Not wanting to be involved with her, he rejected her help. Qin Shi chased after Yang Hua, saying they weren’t enemies—wouldn’t this mutually beneficial arrangement be good for both of them?
