Rising With The Wind Episode 38 Recap
> Rising With The Wind Recap
Jiang Hu and Wu stepped onto the stage to present Cloud Footwear's latest "For Young" collection. They wore the brand's T-shirts and shoes, and viewers back at the factory commented on how well Jiang Hu and her "boyfriend" looked together in their company wear. The investors asked targeted questions, some quite challenging, including one about Jiang Hu's previous disagreements with investors while at Teng Yue.
Jiang Hu addressed the question directly, explaining her belief that a product should not be rushed into capital operations before it is fully developed, a principle that often conflicts with investors seeking short-term gains. Based on her statement, two of the four investors turned off their lights, signaling they would not invest. According to the show's rules, Cloud Footwear did not secure funding. However, Jiang Hu remained upbeat.
She stated her primary goal was not to secure investment, but to showcase Cloud Footwear's new "For Young" series to a wider audience and gain recognition for the brand, factory director Ye Guoming, Wu, and their intergenerational team. Watching from the factory, Zhaoyang smiled and explained to Master Zhang that this was Jiang Hu's real purpose: turning the show into a product launch event.
The comments section exploded with viewers asking where to buy the "For Young" series, indicating her promotional goal was a success. Even before the show ended, Ye Guoming received a call from Mr. Wang of Hetian Trading, who placed an immediate order for 50,000 pairs. Following the broadcast, Cloud Footwear's sales soared, with orders booked until the end of the year. After the show, Mei Shaowang encouraged Xu Si to go after Jiang Hu.
Xu Si attempted to catch up with her but saw her leaving with Wu. Wu was waiting for Jiang Hu near her home and suggested a celebratory seafood dinner. Jiang Hu gently turned him down, explaining that she saw Yang Jian and Jiu Ye as older brothers, and him and Qi as younger brothers—all as cherished friends, but not romantic partners.
Later, Jiang Hu met with a platform representative to discuss securing a homepage ad spot for an upcoming shopping festival. Although Cloud Footwear's sales had increased fivefold, they still didn't meet the platform's minimum sales requirements for the premium spot. As she finished her conversation, Shi Jialun, the new Managing Director of Teng Yue, approached her.
He expressed admiration for her past strategies, noting that Teng Yue's sales had increased significantly and they were opening new stores according to her plans. Jiang Hu, mistakenly believing Teng Yue had already been acquired by a large group like Aneda, responded coolly. Shi Jialun was puzzled by her remark, as the acquisition had not yet happened. Meanwhile, Xu Si deliberately stalled the Aneda acquisition of Teng Yue, eventually halting the process entirely.
Du Botao confronted him, questioning if his decision was influenced by personal feelings for Jiang Hu. Xu Si denied it was about emotion and stated he would provide a satisfactory explanation to his superiors, Du Weiye and Baoxing. To boost sales, Jiang Hu met with top livestreamer Tao Xiaoying. Citing Jiang Hu’s past help as a reason for her own current success, Tao Xiaoying was firm on her now-high fees.
Despite the cost, Jiang Hu accepted the terms without yet consulting Ye Guoming. Yang Jian remarked that Jiang Hu was going to extreme lengths to make the sales target. Later, Mei Shaowang met Xu Si at a bar to discuss the stalled acquisition, but their conversation was interrupted by a call from Du Weiye, who was also pressing Xu Si. Using a chess analogy, Du Weiye warned Xu Si that failing to complete the acquisition would ruin his career.
Xu Si's conflict was entirely tied to Jiang Hu. The next day, he spotted her and followed her taxi. Annoyed, Jiang Hu got out to confront him, and Xu Si pulled her into his car. After dinner, Xu Si forced Jiang Hu to choose between him and Teng Yue. Angered, she immediately chose Teng Yue. Visibly hurt, Xu Si drank heavily that night.
Elsewhere, Yang Jian agreed to Zhaoyang's terms for the divorce but added a condition of his own: that Wu and the others could continue living at Changle Restaurant. Zhaoyang refused, revealing her real goal was not the restaurant. She then offered a counter-condition: he must tear up the divorce agreement. Later, during a meal, Zhaoyang learned that Yang Jian loves to drink but avoids it, fearing he inherited his father's negative traits and might hurt her or trigger bad memories. In response, Zhaoyang took a drink of liquor and then kissed him, transferring it to him mouth-to-mouth to show she was not afraid.
