Rising With The Wind Episode 37 Recap
> Rising With The Wind Recap
After Mei Shaowang mentioned that Jiang Hu had joined Cloud Footwear, Xu Si decided to participate in the entrepreneurship program as a mentor, reasoning that since his senior was involved, he couldn't be outdone. Wu brought Jiang Hu her scooter and a scarf as a gift, noting the cold weather. Jiang Hu declined the gift but affectionately put the scarf around Wu's neck instead, thanking him for the scooter.
Unseen by them, Xu Si witnessed this interaction from his car, growing concerned that Jiang Hu might truly be moving on from him. Later, Xu Si had dinner with Mei Shaowang and Tang Ya. After Xu Si left, Tang Ya remarked on the dinner's inefficiency, noting that despite much talk, key issues regarding the acquisition were not discussed, leading her to suspect Xu Si had other motives. Jiang Hu visited her father, Jiang Qisheng's, grave, where she met Yue Shan.
Yue Shan, who was there to mark her official departure from Teng Yue and Free Unicorn, asked if Jiang Hu still blamed her. Jiang Hu assured her she didn't and expressed sincere gratitude for Yue Shan's thirty years of dedication, acknowledging that neither company would have succeeded without her. Yue Shan, having watched Jiang Hu grow up, felt confident in her ability to handle future responsibilities, believing her father would be proud.
Yue Shan then announced her decision to retire and travel the world, a move that greatly impressed her younger colleagues. Jiang Hu and Xu Si both attended the entrepreneurship program's initial interviews. While Xu Si had joined as a mentor specifically because he knew Jiang Hu was participating, she only learned of his involvement on-site. She drew the number for Tutor 3, who turned out to be Xu Si, and mentally braced for a tough interview.
However, due to a delay, she was redirected to Tutor 4, Mei Shaowang. During her interview, Jiang Hu presented Cloud Footwear's history, craftsmanship, and her experience revitalizing Teng Yue. Mei Shaowang, playfully calling her "Miss Shoe Dog," went easy on her and passed her through. By the time Xu Si finished his session, he discovered that Jiang Hu had already completed her interview and left. Later, Xu Si was walking his dog, Kid, when a neighborhood boy joined him.
Having heard from his father that Xu Si was sad about Jiang Hu, the boy offered him a beer and suggested that Kid could stay with Xu Si to keep him company. A video of Xu Si playing with Kid by the river was later posted online. When Jiang Hu saw the video, she became visibly emotional and cried, as the scene reminded her of her own deceased dog, Laoban.
Gao Yi suggested that Zhaoyang reconcile with Jiang Hu, but Zhaoyang felt she had caused too much harm. During their conversation about their first meeting, Zhaoyang was shocked to learn that it was Yang Jian, not Gao Yi, who had saved her from the river as a child. Gao Yi explained that Yang Jian had pulled her out and confronted her bullies, while he was merely the one present when she awoke.
Later, Zhaoyang discovered her mother preparing to repay a debt to Yang Jian, realizing he had also quietly covered her mother's financial troubles. Overwhelmed with guilt, Zhaoyang recognized the depth of Yang Jian's silent support over the years. At Cloud Footwear, Jiang Hu used the remaining 180,000 yuan marketing budget to hire an award-winning designer for the new "For Young" collection, creating designs for hoodies, coats, and shoes.
Factory director Ye Guoming was initially furious at this unapproved expense, but he relented and signed the reimbursement form after other employees praised the new designs as modern and beautiful, and Jiang Hu confirmed she had already registered the copyrights. To delay their divorce, Zhaoyang used asset distribution as a tactic, demanding ownership of both Changle Restaurant and Xixingji. Yang Jian agreed to consider her request for a week, much to his subordinate's disapproval.
One evening, Wu walked Jiang Hu home and confessed his feelings for her. He acknowledged their age difference and her unresolved feelings for Xu Si but asked for a chance to be with her. Xu Si, who happened to be walking Kid nearby, witnessed the confession, which heightened his sense of urgency. On the first day of the televised entrepreneurship show, Xu Si acted as a stringent mentor, rejecting the first two projects.
When it was Jiang Hu's turn, she began not with her project, but with a moving story about her father, Jiang Qisheng, and her difficult journey to save Teng Yue. Before she could continue, the host asked the mentors for initial questions. When prompted, Xu Si simply stated, "Miss Jiang, I am very much looking forward to your presentation."
