During their conversation, Hong Die learned about Jiang Hu's family factory, Teng Yue, and its recent successful online launch. Mentioning that she and Xu Si's mother also run a factory, Hong Die expressed interest in visiting Teng Yue and exchanged WeChat contacts with Jiang Hu.
Before leaving, she playfully warned Jiang Hu that Xu Si is a calculating investor, and then privately remarked to Xu Si that the orchid cactus in his home seemed to have successfully brought him a romantic prospect. After Hong Die left, Jiang Hu commented on Xu Si's seemingly close relationship with his aunt. Xu Si clarified that it's superficial, as his aunt and mother view him as a ruthless investor.

Zhaoyang was worried about convincing Jiang Hu, but Gao Yi encouraged her to try, stressing his sincere desire to help Teng Yue. Later, Yue Shan presented the Lidu proposal to Jiang Hu, who immediately refused. Yue Shan argued that her father would have prioritized the business opportunity over personal grudges and that the event was crucial for their offline expansion.

Unsettled by the gifted jacket, Xu Si sought advice from Song Zhi, framing it as a hypothetical about a friend. Song Zhi saw through the ruse and advised that it could be a coincidence or simply a matter of taste, but what truly mattered was who was in Jiang Hu's life now.
