Bi Yao, unconscious on the bed, was still calling out Xiao Fan's name. The Ghost King, sitting by her side, was heartbroken, sighing that Bi Yao was just like her mother. It turned out that years ago, Bi Yao's mother, Xiao Chi, disregarded her sister's warnings and exhausted hundreds of years of spiritual power to heal the Ghost King, staying by his side devotedly, but sacrificing her own lifespan in the process.

The Ghost King couldn't bear to see his daughter suffer such torment, so he cast a spell to extract Bi Yao's memories, storing them in a magical artifact. You Ji rushed over to look after Bi Yao and, seeing the Ghost King's actions, questioned what he had done to Bi Yao. Upon learning the truth, You Ji accused the Ghost King of deceiving himself.

The Ghost King retorted, asking if she and Wan Jian Yi hadn't also tried their utmost to be together back then, yet a hundred years had passed, and she was still in pain. The Ghost King confessed that he didn't want Bi Yao to suffer the same torment. You Ji was left speechless. Ghost Senior apologized to the Ghost King for accidentally injuring Bi Yao. Xiao Fan truthfully explained that he had gone to find Bi Yao to recover the Heavenly Book. Xiao Fan asked about Jing Yu's current situation. Xue Qi took out a letter and told Xiao Fan that his mistress had asked her to give it to him. In the letter, his mistress urged Xiao Fan to avoid the messenger and flee quickly, not to return to Qing Yun for the time being.

She would inform him once the matter of Lin Jing Yu's beast transformation was thoroughly investigated. Only then did Zhang Xiao Fan realize something had happened to Jing Yu. He lied, claiming he still had unfinished business and couldn't return to Qing Yun yet. Unexpectedly, Lu Xue Qi drew her sword against him. Xiao Fan expressed his understanding, which deeply moved Zeng Shu Shu. However, Xiao Fan advised Zeng Shu Shu not to be careless and let Yudou fall into the hands of someone with ill intentions.

Xiao Huan thought Li Xun's actions were despicable, demanding conditions to save his own grandfather. Li Xun and his junior sister, Yan Hong, arrived upon hearing this.
