Fu Zi personally delivered milk tea to Bai Jiaojiao. Although Bai Jiaojiao's assistant quietly informed Fu Zi that Bai Jiaojiao typically did not consume things from others, Bai Jiaojiao was touched by Fu Zi's words and drank the milk tea. Unbeknownst to Fu Zi, she had put nuts into the milk tea, and Bai Jiaojiao was severely allergic to nuts.
Earlier, Xin Ling had found nuts in a milk tea from Fu Zi but chose not to warn Fu Zi about Bai Jiaojiao's allergy, assuming Bai Jiaojiao wouldn't drink it anyway. After consuming the milk tea, Bai Jiaojiao quickly suffered an allergic reaction and was rushed to the hospital. Her assistant, who had initially accepted the milk tea for Bai Jiaojiao, later complained about Fu Zi's clumsiness but kept the drink instead of discarding it.
Niu Meili met Zhao Xiaobei for coffee to return 100,000 yuan she owed him. She claimed she had secured a lucrative advertising deal for Hao Zeyu, allowing her to repay the loan. Although Zhao Xiaobei could tell she wasn't being entirely truthful, he accepted the money. Fu Zi went to the hospital to apologize to Bai Jiaojiao, who was fortunately not in serious condition. Bai Jiaojiao was displeased about the delay in filming.
She acknowledged Fu Zi as an assistant who didn't necessarily need to apologize, but emphasized that being an assistant was a job, not a game, requiring full knowledge of others' preferences, and attributed the incident to Fu Zi's irresponsibility. Fu Zi, fearing her mistake would negatively impact Hao Zeyu's hard-won role, pleaded with Bai Jiaojiao not to blame him and, to atone, promised to leave the production crew.
Bai Jiaojiao, described as cold on the surface but warm at heart, didn't further trouble her and allowed her to leave. Fu Zi returned to her hotel room to pack her belongings, preparing to go back home. Hao Zeyu, mistakenly believing Bai Jiaojiao had bullied Fu Zi into leaving, impulsively started to confront Bai Jiaojiao. He stopped at the door, surprised that Fu Zi hadn't tried to physically prevent him.
Despite her inner sadness, Fu Zi outwardly maintained a cheerful demeanor, claiming she was returning home to "enjoy life." Hao Zeyu expressed his displeasure that Fu Zi would enjoy herself while he remained to suffer, but Fu Zi rallied him, pulling him into an encouraging session of shouting slogans and giving him meticulous instructions for his life on set before her scheduled departure the next day.
That night, Hao Zeyu, feeling reluctant about her leaving, offered to swap sleeping spots so she could have the bed while he slept on the floor, but Fu Zi declined, playfully stating she "recognizes beds." Both were deeply sad about their impending separation. Meanwhile, Niu Meili was stressed by debt collection. The next morning, Hao Zeyu, distracted during filming, fell and injured his leg, suffering a fracture. He was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Fu Zi, who was waiting at the airport, received the news and quickly rushed to the hospital. Upon seeing Hao Zeyu, who was otherwise fine, Fu Zi initially complained about her non-refundable special-fare ticket, then decided unequivocally not to leave. She declared her intention to stay and support Hao Zeyu, even if his future career was hindered. Hao Zeyu was overjoyed by her decision and told her to stay firmly with the crew, assuring her he would handle any problems.
He also asked Fu Zi to keep his leg injury a secret from Fu Zi's Father and Niu Meili, fearing they might cause trouble if they found out. Bai Jiaojiao visited Hao Zeyu in the hospital. Hao Zeyu discussed Fu Zi's return to the crew, and Bai Jiaojiao agreed, instructing him to ensure Fu Zi took good care of him and avoided wandering around the set to prevent further mishaps.
She clarified that she hadn't originally forced Fu Zi out, but rather Fu Zi had insisted on leaving, which Hao Zeyu appreciated. Niu Meili confronted Fu Zi's Father, reiterating that she had returned Zhao Xiaobei's money and didn't want any money from him. Fu Zi's Father responded with jealousy regarding Zhao Xiaobei. Provoked, Niu Meili angrily divulged past grievances, accusing Fu Zi's Father of "nobly" insisting on living like a "widower" rather than being with her.
She also stated that she liked Zhao Xiaobei because he reminded her of Fu Zi's Father from their younger days. Fu Zi's Father, cornered and speechless, watched as Niu Meili turned and left proudly. Gu Dapeng, having angered Niu Meili, sought advice from Fu Zi's Father on how to win her forgiveness. Fu Zi's Father suggested taking her to movies and shopping, and advised Gu Dapeng to dress in a trendy style, offering several methods.
Gu Dapeng later appeared with a bouquet of flowers, dressed in trendy clothes, to apologize to Niu Meili and invite her to an art film. Niu Meili, however, was displeased with his appearance. She criticized his clothes for not being "artsy" enough for a romantic gesture and took him to a shopping mall to buy new outfits. There, she bought a wig for the bald Gu Dapeng and gave him a complete punk-style makeover.
She then called Fu Zi's Father to witness the transformation before leaving. Fu Zi's Father reacted with disgust at the sight of the newly made-over Gu Dapeng, who, conversely, was extremely happy. Early one morning, Fu Zi arrived at the hospital only to find Hao Zeyu gone. She learned from his fellow patients that he had returned to the film set. Angered and worried, she rushed to the set.
Hao Zeyu, using crutches, was already there, insisting to Peng Yongkang that he be allowed to film. He argued that he had only injured his leg, not disfigured himself, and that after filming for so long and being so close to wrapping, he needed to bid farewell to his character.
Peng Yongkang questioned if Hao Zeyu intended to cripple himself and make this his final film, reminding him that bravado and professionalism were distinct, and he should rest if his leg was compromised. However, seeing Hao Zeyu's limping but unyielding insistence, Peng Yongkang felt a surge of compassion and relented. When Fu Zi arrived, she helped support the crutch-wielding Hao Zeyu, scolding him for showing off. She brought him two chicken legs, jokingly suggesting he "eat legs to mend legs."
Deeply moved by her gesture, Hao Zeyu hugged Fu Zi tightly, playfully remarking that if his leg weren't injured, he would lift her and spin her around. Fearing Hao Zeyu might disappear again, Fu Zi decided to sleep on the floor at the hospital by his side, while Hao Zeyu looked at the ceiling, expressing hope that "life will get better." The movie "Who Gets Fat, Who Dies First" officially wrapped up filming.
Peng Yongkang, Bai Jiaojiao, and Xin Ling participated in interviews. Hao Zeyu, feeling that no one would be interested in interviewing him, initially hesitated to join. However, Fu Zi playfully pretended to interview him with a lollipop. Over the past few months on set, Hao Zeyu had matured significantly and expressed his profound gratitude to Fu Zi.
