His suppressed anger finally erupted as he violently smashed the glass with his bare hands, startling everyone. His subordinates, terrified, rushed to report the incident to Lin Xirou. At the same time, Lin Xirou was preparing to leave for her own affairs, which provided Lin Ling with the perfect opportunity to discreetly relay information to Lv Xian.
Xiong Hei informed Lin Xirou about Yan Tuo's self-harm, but she responded coldly, stating that as long as he was alive, nothing else mattered. Meanwhile, Lv Xian arrived, ostensibly to deliver tonic herbs to Lin Xirou, but in reality, to visit Lin Ling. Lin Ling, feigning boredom, persuaded her caretaker, Sis, to let Lv Xian stay for dinner, remarking that she found eating alone quite dull.
Lv Xian ate heartily while recounting his failed attempts at making pour-over coffee, finding the process too complicated. Lin Ling, however, enthusiastically shared her newfound passion for mixology and offered to make a special drink for him. As Lin Ling went to retrieve ingredients, a concerned Sis followed her. Lin Ling seized the opportunity to ask Sis her opinion of Lv Xian, admitting she initially disliked him but had come to find him approachable.
To create a distraction, Lin Ling then deliberately cut her hand while preparing ice and feigned a dizzy spell. Concurrently, the South Mountain Hunters were executing their plan. Disguised in various roles, they closed in on the Earth Fiends. One team posed as birdwatchers, taking a taxi to Beishan Park and confirming their target when they heard the fiends' distinctive cries.
Xing Shen and Big Head infiltrated a noodle shop, questioning the proprietor about the "meat" in their noodles, hinting at cannibalism. Another hunter used an art class as a cover to confront an Earth Fiend disguised as a teacher. Elsewhere, Lin Xirou, accompanied by Xiong Hei, arrived at a secluded mountain cave where a mysterious substance, Yuwang Meat, was raised from the depths.
Xing Shen and Big Head successfully apprehended one Earth Fiend, while Quecha and Yu Rong subdued another in a fierce battle. Lin Xirou eagerly collected the scattered Yuwang Meat, noting its power to consume other substances. She planned to use it to revive another Earth Fiend and enhance its strength. Lin Ling’s feigned fainting threw the household into chaos. Thinking quickly, Lv Xian sent Sis to a back room for medical supplies.
As Sis entered, Nie Jiuluo, who had been lying in wait, swiftly knocked her unconscious. To clear himself of suspicion, Lv Xian gave his car keys to Nie Jiuluo, telling her the vehicle had been checked for tracking devices. Nie Jiuluo then knocked Lv Xian out as well, allowing Lin Ling to leave her necklace behind to simulate a kidnapping. Nie Jiuluo and Lin Ling quickly fled.
On their way, Lin Ling guessed Nie Jiuluo was special to Yan Tuo, as he would only entrust her to someone he trusted deeply. She revealed that Yan Tuo was confined at home because Lin Xirou had likely discovered something. Nie Jiuluo promised to rescue Yan Tuo after getting Lin Ling to safety. Their relief grew when they received a message from Xing Shen confirming the successful capture of four Earth Fiends.
After regaining consciousness, Sis immediately contacted Lin Xirou to report Lin Ling's abduction. Upon returning home, Lin Xirou found Lv Xian unconscious and seriously injured. She grew suspicious, recalling that Sis had told her Lv Xian had insisted on taking Lin Ling to Wanbao Tower for treatment. Now believing he may have orchestrated the event, she instructed her men to watch him closely.
Nie Jiuluo entrusted the injured Lin Ling to Mr. Changxi, who playfully remarked that every girl connected to Yan Tuo seems to end up at his place for recovery. Lin Ling confided in Nie Jiuluo that after wanting to escape for so long, she now felt lost. Nie Jiuluo encouraged her to embrace her new freedom. At the South Mountain Hunter base, the four captured Earth Fiends were securely held as the hunters awaited Lin Xirou's next move.
