Donghua boasted about the successful secrecy of his recent plans, but An Jingzhao retorted that Donghua now sounded just like Li Chuyang. As they prepared to leave, Li Chuyue, his Young Madam, appeared, insisting she would go wherever he went. An Jingzhao tried to dissuade her, explaining they were headed to the dangerous Devil's Cave and that their previous visit to retrieve a letter had already angered Hongfei, the Lord of the Evil Sect.

Unfazed, Li Chuyue playfully bound herself to An Jingzhao with a rope, reminding him that the knot tightens with struggle and that her quick thinking had been essential during their last mission. Seeing the rope chafing her wrist, a concerned An Jingzhao untied it. They then discussed Ling, An Jingzhao's younger brother, observing that he seemed more mature since a recent incident at the stud farm, speculating that their father had placed too high expectations on him.

An Jingzhao outlined his plan: he would distract Hongfei, Ling would sneak in to retrieve the antidote and destroy the Devil's Cave, and Donghua would serve as backup outside. Upon arriving at the Devil's Cave, they were met by Hongfei, who was still furious about their previous intrusion, the theft of her letter, and An Jingzhao's role in the death of her former Lord, vowing to settle all three grievances.

As they prepared to fight, Li Chuyue disarmed the situation by offering a surprising gesture: to restore the worn-out embroidery on Hongfei's beloved cloak. Intrigued, Hongfei agreed. Just then, An Jingzhao shattered a stone door to enter, demanding Hongfei release them. Li Chuyue quickly intervened, stopping the confrontation to protect her delicate "art restoration." At that moment, Ling appeared, having discovered a secret passage.

An Jingzhao and Li Chuyue entered, followed by a stunned Hongfei, who was astonished that a passage existed in her own domain without her knowledge. Suddenly, the cave began to collapse. Hongfei was caught in a rope trap, and Li Chuyue warned her that struggling would only make it tighter. As stones fell, Li Chuyue pushed Hongfei to safety, but was poisoned in the process. An Jingzhao immediately threatened Hongfei for the antidote.

However, Li Chuyue stopped him, appealing to Hongfei’s conscience instead. She explained she didn't regret saving her, reminding Hongfei of her desire to live and questioning why, after all the kindness she had shown—the gifts, the repaired embroidery, and saving her life—Hongfei still wanted her dead. Moved by her genuine plea, Hongfei's resolve softened. She provided the antidote and urged them to leave, later remarking to herself that she was growing fond of Li Chuyue.

Later, the Valley Lord of the Magic Flower Valley arrived at Yunwei Villa to visit Li Chuyue. After the villa guards, who labeled him as part of an "Evil Sect," were dismissed by An Jingzhao, the Valley Lord and Li Chuyue had a joyful reunion. He brought samples of exquisite flower-dyed fabric, promising to deliver an even more spectacular fabric dyed from the rare "Ghost Lotus" in half a month. Excited, Li Chuyue began planning a new clothing design.

When she suggested inviting Ling to see the fabrics, Taoyun informed her that he had been reclusive lately. Meanwhile, Ling used Li Chuyue’s modern device and realized a map on it depicted a place that was not Shangyu.

His subordinate returned from the Hanshui Sect with a crucial report: the real Han Wanqing, who has a peach-heart shaped birthmark on her arm, was last seen in Qingluo Dock, taken by a trafficker with a mole, a round nose, and burn scars on his left arm. Deducing the burn scars meant the man was likely a cook, Ling dispatched his men to search taverns and restaurants in Qingluo Dock.

His goal was to find the real Han Wanqing and invalidate Li Chuyue's status as the Young Madam. Li Chuyue, pressured by a design deadline, searched for skilled embroiderers. Unsatisfied with the villa’s collection, An Jingzhao’s grandmother suggested they travel south to search. Simultaneously, Ling's plan progressed. His men found the trafficker, who confirmed he had sold a group of girls, including one with the described birthmark, to major sects as maids ten years ago.

Ling obtained the villa's maid registry but, knowing a birthmark is private, devised a new plan. He drew a picture of the heart-shaped birthmark and, leveraging Li Chuyue's ongoing search for embroidery talent among the maids, announced that any woman with a similar mark could claim a reward. During this time, Taoyun asked Ling why Li Chuyue sometimes called herself "Mommy." Ling explained it meant "mother," suggesting Li Chuyue deeply wished for a child of her own.

Taoyun relayed this to An Jingzhao, who was moved and vowed to have a child with Li Chuyue. He resolved to tell his father, An Chenghu, that he would marry Li Chuyue for who she is, not as a substitute for Han Wanqing. However, when he broached the subject, An Chenghu revealed he already knew everything.

He had a letter from the Hanshui Sect confirming that the real Han Wanqing had been found and was none other than their own maid, Taoyun. An Chenghu declared the marriage to Li Chuyue void and, citing a life debt to Taoyun's late father, ordered An Jingzhao to marry Taoyun. An Jingzhao vehemently refused, professing his love for Li Chuyue. The ensuing argument caused his father's old illness to relapse.

Ling soon learned that Taoyun, despite her new identity, refused to marry An Jingzhao, not wanting to be "the other woman" and ruin her friend's happiness. Seeing an opportunity, Ling decided to use Pockface Wang, a man known to be close to Taoyun, to persuade her. He instructed a subordinate to find Wang and prepare a payment, anticipating that his father would soon confront Li Chuyue directly.
