Late at night, Shangguan Qiuyue visits Chun Hua's room, attempting to leverage their connection. Chun Hua, however, firmly denies being Hua Xiaolei, insisting that any affair was with Hua Xiaolei, not her, and that she prefers him simply as her "Brother Qiuyue." To ensure he doesn't reveal her supposed past to Xiao Bai, Chun Hua agrees to do anything he asks.
He proposes a game with their Icy Silkworm Beads, betting that whoever's bead loses its light first must grant the other a wish. When Chun Hua's bead begins to fade, she cheats by running outside to use the moonlight. Amused, Shangguan Qiuyue reveals that the two beads are interconnected; as long as his bead retains its light, hers will not extinguish. Meanwhile, Xiao Bai polishes his Fengming Sword when Qin Liufeng enters, teasing him about a happy event.
Xiao Bai recounts helping the Hua family reunite, fulfilling his father's wishes. Qin Liufeng expresses suspicion about "Brother Hua" (Shangguan Qiuyue's disguise), finding his behavior lacking proper etiquette for a joyous reunion. Xiao Bai dismisses these concerns, suggesting Master Hua was simply overcome with emotion. When Qin Liufeng asks about Hua Xiaolei's amnesia, Xiao Bai notes that the family reunion seems to have had no effect, implying they need to find other ways to restore her memory.
The next morning, Shangguan Qiuyue uses a pseudo-sound technique to imitate Xiao Bai's voice, asking Chun Hua if she wishes to return to Fengming Manor. Chun Hua retorts that she would only go if Xiao Bai marries her, irritating Shangguan Qiuyue. He enters her room and warns her to dress quickly or she'll miss the real Xiao Bai, who has just arrived.
Chun Hua swiftly dresses and rushes to Xiao Bai, but a displeased Shangguan Qiuyue pulls her back to his side. Xiao Bai formally proposes to Master Hua to set a wedding date, but both Master Hua and Shangguan Qiuyue (as Hua Que) immediately reject the proposal and demand the engagement be canceled.
Posing as Hua Que, Shangguan Qiuyue argues that Fengming Manor failed to protect their "beloved daughter," who survived a fire only to lose her memory, making Xiao Bai an unsuitable guardian. Defeated by their arguments and Chun Hua's inability to sway them, Xiao Bai leaves to report back to his father. A distraught Chun Hua confronts Shangguan Qiuyue, returning the Icy Silkworm Bead and tearfully accusing him of ruining her marriage.
She blames him for her misfortunes, asserting that she and Xiao Bai were destined for each other. Shangguan Qiuyue dismisses her tears, calling her crying face ugly and claiming Xiao Bai is not sincere. After her tirade, Chun Hua decides to leave the Hua family to find Xiao Bai. Watching her go, Shangguan Qiuyue asks his subordinate, Star Chief Ye, for a way to bring her back.
Ye suggests spreading rumors about the "immortality fruit," knowing Xiao Bai's urgent need for it. If Xiao Bai returns to the Hua family for the fruit, Chun Hua will naturally follow, a plan Shangguan Qiuyue approves. News of the immortality fruit, said to be from the Medical Sage and able to revive the dead, spreads across the martial arts world. Fu Lou, the Chief of Legend Valley, seeks it for his ailing wife.
Chief Feng and Chief Leng also learn the fruit is at the Hua residence and agree to cooperate to obtain it. While discussing the canceled engagement, Xiao Bai and Qin Liufeng see a public notice about the fruit being at the Hua mansion in Yetan City and decide to return. After leaving the Hua family, Chun Hua arrives at an inn, only to find Xiao Bai has already left.
Exhausted and hungry, she is found by Feng Caicai, who offers her a bun. Soon after, she reunites with Xiao Bai and Qin Liufeng. When asked why she is there, Chun Hua joyfully declares her intention to elope with him, which brings a subtle, pleased smile to Xiao Bai's face.
However, her hopes are dashed when Qin Liufeng explains they must return to the Hua mansion because the immortality fruit, which is needed to save the Wulin Alliance Leader's life, is there. Disappointed that Xiao Bai's return is not for her, Chun Hua reluctantly agrees to go with them. Xiao Bai instructs Feng Caicai and Leng Ning to wait at the inn while he, Qin Liufeng, and Chun Hua proceed.
Upon their arrival, Shangguan Qiuyue, as Hua Que, warmly greets Chun Hua, playfully scolding her for leaving. Annoyed, Chun Hua retorts that she will leave with Xiao Bai once his business is concluded. Shangguan Qiuyue attempts to dismiss the men, citing the canceled engagement, but Xiao Bai clarifies their visit is about the immortality fruit. Shangguan Qiuyue allows them entry but orchestrates their separation by having Qin Liufeng question Master Hua while he speaks with Xiao Bai.
Shangguan Qiuyue then "confesses" to Xiao Bai that the fruit is in their mansion, claiming his father, Master Hua, wrote the notice intending to sell it for a high price. He fabricates a story that he advised his father to give the fruit to the Alliance Leader, but his father refused out of greed and even canceled the engagement, fearing Chun Hua would steal the fruit for the Xiao family. Chun Hua vehemently denies knowing anything.
Simultaneously, Qin Liufeng confronts Master Hua, who is utterly bewildered and angered by the mention of a notice or a fruit, realizing he is being framed. Despite Chun Hua's pleas and the inconsistencies, Xiao Bai remains wary and tells "Hua Que" that he will uncover the truth and form his own conclusions.
