> Lost in The Kunlun Mountains Recap

After Ding Yunqi initiated a kiss with Wu Shuang, their relationship was implicitly established. Wu Shuang's patience had paid off, as her feelings were finally reciprocated. Ding Yunqi promised Wu Shuang that once they found the Kunlun Mountains, they would spend every day together, living freely. However, Wu Shuang worried about her master, Zhou Qiuhai, and Ding Yunqi becoming adversaries, as she loved them both and couldn't choose between them.

Ding Yunqi clarified that he intended to disband the Penta-sect after discovering the Kunlun Mountains, thereby freeing Wu Shuang from the Mound-digging rules. He expressed his deep love and desire to marry her, not as the Heaven Official, but as Ding Yunqi, allowing them to lead a simple life unburdened by the Penta-sect. Wu Shuang, still concerned, suggested they postpone the search until her master had passed away, offering to accompany Ding Yunqi in his quest for a lifetime then.

Ding Yunqi gently explained that some matters, once set in motion, cannot be stopped. Unhappy, Wu Shuang tried to change the subject, hoping the immediate issue of opening the gates would distract him. Meanwhile, Luo Yunsong noticed Chu Fengling seemed troubled and suspected she harbored feelings for Ding Yunqi. Chu Fengling vehemently denied this, stating her earlier anger at Ding Yunqi was due to his perceived recklessness in the Yufeng Palace, causing unnecessary worry for others.

While Luo Yunsong accepted her explanation, he subtly reminded her that Ding Yunqi and Wu Shuang were a couple. Chu Fengling again dismissed his concerns, asserting he was overthinking. As Ding Yunqi and Wu Shuang were leaving the Yufeng Palace, Wu Shuang spotted a mark left by Zhou Qiuhai. Making an excuse to explore the town, she convinced Ding Yunqi to go ahead for dinner, then secretly met with her master.

During their meeting, Wu Shuang was intentionally vague about what transpired inside the Yufeng Palace, claiming she was behind Ding Yunqi and couldn't see clearly, thus avoiding revealing Ding Yunqi's true intentions. Zhou Qiuhai, who had extensively studied the mover sect, deduced that the Yufeng Palace's protective mechanisms were fully activated, with the mythical beast's pearl having receded, turning the palace into a death trap.

He suspected Ding Yunqi was responsible for activating the defense system, questioning how Ding Yunqi possessed such intricate knowledge of mover traps and if he had any connections to the movers. Wu Shuang maintained that Ding Yunqi had simply memorized these details from books since childhood, as his father had made him do so. She also mentioned he still struggled with some traps.

Zhou Qiuhai accepted her explanation, but instructed her to observe Ding Yunqi more closely to keep him informed of Ding Yunqi's progress. He then revealed that the nearby Dengkun Pavilion held significant secrets related to the Kunlun Mountains, subtly guiding Wu Shuang to lead Ding Yunqi there. He also advised her to keep a close eye on Luo Yunsong, who he felt was being unusually cooperative.

Soon after, He Biao reported to Luo Yunsong that approximately thirty Mound-digging disciples, including Zhou Qiuhai, were covertly tracking them. Luo Yunsong surmised that Zhou Qiuhai’s group was intentionally hiding their movements, leading him to believe Wu Shuang was likely a spy planted by the Mound-digging Sect. Incensed by this news, Chu Fengling confronted Ding Yunqi. Just then, Wu Shuang returned, casually mentioning she had been sightseeing in the Mountain-moving Town.

Chu Fengling, ignoring her, directly accused Wu Shuang of meeting with Zhou Qiuhai. Wu Shuang, visibly flustered and unaccustomed to lying, struggled to respond. Ding Yunqi swiftly intervened, claiming he had been aware of Wu Shuang's role as a Mound-digging scout and had instructed her to report to Zhou Qiuhai as part of his own strategy. Chu Fengling was furious, accusing Ding Yunqi of endangering them all, especially given Zhou Qiuhai's hostile stance on the Kunlun Mountains.

Ding Yunqi, however, retorted that his decisions were his own and that anyone who felt unsafe was free to leave, as the search for the Kunlun Mountains was inherently perilous. Before Chu Fengling could respond further, Wu Shuang finally confessed that she was indeed sent by her master, not as a spy, but to protect Ding Yunqi. She explained that Zhou Qiuhai was worried about the dangers he might face, particularly from Luo Yunsong and his armed Black Feather Team.

Luo Yunsong countered that Ding Yunqi had already agreed to the Black Feather Team's presence, to which Wu Shuang retorted that while Ding Yunqi might trust him, she and other Penta-sect members did not. Ding Yunqi diffused the tension, emphasizing that the truth was now out. Later, in private, Wu Shuang, feeling guilty, asked if Ding Yunqi was angry about her deception.

Ding Yunqi, expressing his gratitude for her master's concern, revealed he had known all along about her secret meetings and her task. He explained that her unusual avoidance of Kunlun Mountains discussions, despite her curious nature, hinted at her master's assignment. He understood she didn't want to betray him or lie to her master, and stated his unconditional trust in her. Reassured and relieved, Wu Shuang told Ding Yunqi about the Dengkun Pavilion and its secrets concerning the Kunlun Mountains.

Ding Yunqi, pleased that they no longer had secrets, enthusiastically suggested they "go to Dengkun Pavilion and have fun." Observing Chu Fengling's noticeable change in demeanor, Wu Shuang decided to talk to her. During their conversation, Chu Fengling tried to pry information about the Yufeng Palace from Wu Shuang, who, as before, gave vague answers about only seeing a book and not knowing its contents.

Wu Shuang then sincerely urged Chu Fengling, whom she considered a sister, to abandon the dangerous quest for the Kunlun Mountains, reminding her of the many lives already lost and the potential for greater tragedies. Chu Fengling, however, was resolute in her pursuit, declaring that "power" was paramount, and that finding the Kunlun Mountains was her path to it, without which, she claimed, some people could not even live humbly.

She stated unequivocally that she would not give up, regardless of Wu Shuang's help. Separately, Ding Yunqi met with Luo Yunsong. Luo Yunsong shared his extensive knowledge of the mover sect, explaining that they were historically a female-only sect, living without husbands or children, and thus had no need for worldly wealth. This unique characteristic, combined with their skills in finance, divination, and protection, made them ideal guardians for the Kunlun Mountains, directly accountable to the Heaven Official.

He cited the name "Yufeng Palace" as further evidence of their "otherworldly" philosophy. Ding Yunqi was surprised by Luo Yunsong's detailed understanding of the Penta-sect. Luo Yunsong then frankly admitted his own motives for accompanying Ding Yunqi: to uncover the truth about his parents' death and, if Ding Yunqi's father was indeed responsible, to seek revenge through Ding Yunqi; otherwise, to gain merit with Her Ladyship by helping to find the Kunlun Mountains, thereby making a comeback for himself.

Ding Yunqi then brought up the Dengkun Pavilion. Luo Yunsong acknowledged its rumored significance as the true base of the movers and potentially the entrance to the Kunlun Mountains, but confessed he didn't know its exact location. Ding Yunqi pointed to the structure nearby, revealing its proximity.

Surprised, Luo Yunsong then requested to accompany Ding Yunqi into the Dengkun Pavilion, clarifying that he sought something distinct from the Kunlun Mountains itself, and asked Ding Yunqi to decide his entry based on the situation inside.
