> Legend of Yun Xi Recap

With rumors of an impending alliance between Western Qiu and Tianning through a princess's marriage, and Prince Qin, Long Feiye, asserting his power against the Emperor, marrying into his mansion was seen as a perilous fate. In the Han Mansion, Han Cong'an, Yunxi's father, had poisoned his daughter with a toxin only he could cure, hoping to prevent her entanglement in the imperial power struggles. This act, however, only deepened the chasm between them.

Upon Yunxi's return from the palace, Han Cong'an feigned concern, explaining the perilous implications of her arranged marriage. Yunxi, however, found the coldness of the Han Mansion more unbearable than the dangers of Prince Qin's Mansion, a feeling stemming from a profound lack of paternal affection. Her father's sudden display of care felt artificial, causing her to instinctively recoil from his touch. Meanwhile, at Wanyan House, the top courtesan, Miss Yuze, attended to Crown Prince Long Tianmo.

He was distraught, as the gu-poisoned child he held had been abducted, and he had yet to discover the culprit. Yuze, pretending to be interested in the luminous pearl he promised, suggested that Lord Qishao might be able to help. Unbeknownst to the Crown Prince, Yuze was devoted to Lord Qishao, and Wanyan House secretly served as his base for observing Tianning's nobility. When Long Tianmo sought Lord Qishao's help, he provided a vial of the child's blood.

Lord Qishao, skilled in such arts, used a few drops and played his flute to command poison flies to seek out the child. The flies located Long Feiye and Chu Xifeng just as the gu-afflicted child was overpowering them. Long Feiye quickly subdued the child with acupuncture and, disregarding his own safety, administered the last available antidote to him. Sensing they were being watched, Long Feiye instructed Chu Xifeng to relocate the child immediately.

Upon the return of the poison flies, Lord Qishao sketched the image of the man the insects had seen. To Long Tianmo's astonishment, the man was his own Royal Uncle, Long Feiye. Lord Qishao was also surprised, realizing the formidable man he had previously encountered was Prince Qin. After the Crown Prince departed, Lord Qishao's aide revealed she had secretly kept some of the child's blood, which he planned to analyze to uncover the royal family's internal conflicts.

The Crown Prince then secretly met with the Grand Marshal. Shrewdly interpreting the Emperor's sentiments, the Grand Marshal confirmed that His Majesty was wary of Long Feiye's growing power. Incited by the Grand Marshal, the two conspired to assassinate Long Feiye during his upcoming wedding, believing the chaotic event would provide the perfect opportunity. In her chamber, as she prepared for the wedding, Han Yunxi sat before a mirror.

Her face, now free of the toxic carbuncles, had a delicate beauty. Dressed in her red wedding gown, her hand touched a worn book, stirring memories of her first encounter with Long Feiye. That night, he had saved her from a fall, and she, in turn, had taken his book. Now, feeling her body weaken from what she believed was medicine for her face, she longed to return the book but did not know his identity.

As her aunt entered, Yunxi coughed up blood. Her aunt revealed that the medicine had been personally prepared by Han Cong'an. A chilling realization washed over Yunxi: her own father had poisoned her. Resolving to sever all ties, Yunxi instructed her aunt to prepare another dose of medicine to temporarily suppress the poison, determined to proceed with the wedding. At Prince Qin's Mansion, Long Feiye was concerned for the gu-poisoned child's security.

As Chu Xifeng reassured him that the child was safe, Long Feiye detected someone on the rooftops. He gave chase, falling into a trap set by Lord Qishao. The figure, Miss Yuze, lured Long Feiye to the Minister of Grand Court's Mansion, where she used a powder to momentarily expose his position. When guards came to investigate, they found the Minister had been murdered, framing Long Feiye.

He pursued Yuze into a forest, but Lord Qishao appeared and unleashed a swarm of poison flies. Despite Long Feiye's skill, the sheer number of insects overwhelmed him, and one managed to bite and poison him. At the Han Mansion, Han Cong'an waited, believing his plan had succeeded. To his shock, Yunxi emerged, beautifully adorned in her wedding gown. When he questioned how she could stand, his words confirmed her suspicions.

Yunxi declared their father-daughter relationship over and stepped into the bridal sedan, leaving him to grieve his misguided actions. Inside the sedan, as the poison flared up, Yunxi coughed blood onto her mother's bracelet. This inadvertently activated a mystical realm within it, which contained the legendary Poison Scripture and a wealth of medical knowledge. In this space, Yunxi used her skills to treat her face and neutralize the toxins in her body.

Thus, despite Consort Dowager Yi's attempts to obstruct the wedding, Yunxi successfully arrived at Prince Qin's Mansion. Weakened by poison, Long Feiye fought off assassins sent by the Crown Prince on his way back. He finally stumbled into the bridal chamber late that night, wounded and exhausted, to find Yunxi waiting. Yunxi recognized him as the man from the cliff, shocked and fearful he was an assassin or there to reclaim his book.

When he collapsed, she overcame her apprehension and began treating his wounds, intending to send him away before he was discovered. However, as she urged him to leave, Long Feiye revealed his identity, telling Yunxi that he was her husband, the Prince of Qin.
