Tang Li informed Long Feiye that Baili Mingxiang had returned to her family's mansion, prompting Long Feiye to instruct Xifeng to ensure her safety without forcing her return. Meanwhile, Consort Qing visited the confined Long Tianmo at Zhaoyang Palace. She presented him with a bottle of sweet grape wine, a specialty from her younger brother, urging him to consume it quickly as it wouldn't keep. Long Tianmo praised the wine after drinking it.

Consort Qing then subtly sought his favor, asking him to speak well of her to Emperor Tianhui and expressing her hope that he would treat Xiqiu kindly upon ascending the throne. Long Tianmo agreed. Later, in Qinghui Palace, Consort Qing lit agilawood incense for Emperor Tianhui, claiming it was a gift meant to aid his sleep. She skillfully guided their conversation towards Long Tianmo, subtly defending him and suggesting Emperor Tianhui visit him on his late mother's upcoming death anniversary.

At Prince Qin Mansion, Long Tianmo had dispatched men to the Sinkhole, but all of them had vanished. Long Feiye confirmed the mysterious Poison Master's fortified presence there, a place reputedly fraught with dangers including a unique poison beast and numerous traps. Han Yunxi offered to venture into the Sinkhole, citing the Poison Master's connection to her mother and her intent to identify the toxins to develop an antidote for Long Feiye's condition.

However, Long Feiye, wary of the danger and the watchful eyes of spies from the Crown Prince, the Second Prince, and Emperor Tianhui around his mansion, hesitated. Concurrently, within the Sinkhole, Gu Beiyue brought Baili Mingxiang inside after she survived exposure to the formidable Sha Poison from her attempt to breach the area. The Poison Master later expressed astonishment that Baili Mingxiang had survived exposure to his formidable Sha Poison.

Eager to assist Long Feiye, Han Yunxi and Ningjing persistently pressed Tang Li to let them go to the Sinkhole. Despite Tang Li's initial reluctance due to concern for Long Feiye, Ningjing emphasized the immense pressure Long Feiye was under. Han Yunxi proposed they disguise their journey as a casual outing, leading Tang Li to reluctantly agree and arrange for secret guards to follow them.

Upon learning of Han Yunxi's departure from Prince Qin Mansion for the Sinkhole, Gu Qishao also decided to follow her. During his prayer for his deceased mother, Long Tianmo was visited by Emperor Tianhui. Their interaction appeared to mend their strained relationship, with Emperor Tianhui inviting Long Tianmo to join him at the Imperial Ancestal Temple after finishing a vegetarian meal. While eating, Long Tianmo suddenly dropped his chopsticks, vomited blood, and collapsed, believing his father wished him dead.

Consort Qing, observing from a distance with her accomplice, expressed satisfaction, confirming her scheme had succeeded. She detailed the poison's unique properties: an initial dose from the wine, activated by a substance transferred from Emperor Tianhui's agilawood-exposed clothes. She noted that this new poison had no known antidote and was designed to be fatal within ten days. Emperor Tianhui summoned Han Cong'an, who admitted his unfamiliarity with the poison and could only estimate the time of poisoning.

Enraged, Emperor Tianhui ordered Han Cong'an to save Long Tianmo or face execution. Subsequently, Emperor Tianhui interrogated the Zhaoyang Palace servants, who claimed only he had entered Long Tianmo's palace that day. Furious, Emperor Tianhui perceived this as an accusation against himself and ordered the servants to be beaten until they revealed the true plotter.

Long Tianqing congratulated Jun Yizheng, implying their shared objective regarding Long Tianmo would soon be achieved, and promised that Long Tianmo would be eliminated within ten days. Long Feiye, analyzing the palace poisoning, deduced that Han Cong'an would inevitably be implicated, and Emperor Tianhui would use this incident to control him. Meanwhile, at Han Cong'an's residence, he and Gu Beiyue tirelessly worked to find an antidote. Mrs. Xu urged them to rest, but Han Cong'an felt their situation was hopeless.

He expressed deep gratitude to Gu Beiyue for his loyalty, contrasting it with others who would "hit me more after seeing that I'm down." Gu Beiyue humbly responded that he was simply fulfilling his duty and learning from Han Cong'an, before excusing himself to rest. Mrs. Xu then suggested Han Cong'an seek help from Han Yunxi, highlighting her noble status and Long Feiye's support.

However, Han Cong'an dismissed the idea, believing Han Yunxi's animosity towards him was too great for her to intervene, and that her high position made it difficult for her to openly take sides in the volatile court. Mrs. Xu lamented her past mistreatment of Han Yunxi, but Han Cong'an saw no use in dwelling on it now. Han Yunxi and Ningjing cautiously entered the Sinkhole.

Upon encountering Sha Poison, Han Yunxi swiftly pushed Ningjing away, asserting her ability to handle the toxins as a poison doctor. She then skillfully used silver needles to seal her vital acupoints before succumbing to the poison and collapsing. Gu Beiyue appeared, administered a Reductant Elixir to her, and placed her outside the cave. Soon after, Ningjing and Gu Qishao arrived.

Ningjing anxiously urged Gu Qishao to hasten, fearing for Han Yunxi's life, but Gu Qishao confidently assured her that Han Yunxi would survive, and they quickly transported her to Herb-Ghost Valley. The Poison Master, upon learning that Han Yunxi, Princess Consort Qin, had been afflicted by Sha Poison, dispatched his subordinate to Herb-Ghost Valley to gather information and ensure her well-being, acknowledging that despite her self-sealed acupoints and the Reductant Elixir, some poison might still linger.

Simultaneously, the Poison Master found himself baffled by Baili Mingxiang's unusual condition, realizing she possessed "Beauty Blood" and had previously sealed her acupoints and pubic qi region with special medicine, which had prevented a more severe outcome. Emperor Tianhui was informed that Long Tianmo's condition was critical, facing death within ten days if an antidote wasn't found, prompting the Emperor to offer a substantial reward for anyone who could cure him.

At Prince Qin Mansion, an agitated Tang Li finally confessed to Long Feiye that Han Yunxi and Ningjing had ventured into the Sinkhole, much to Long Feiye's anger over the delayed information. Tang Li reassured him they had disguised their trip as a leisure outing and were being secretly protected.

Simultaneously, Gu Beiyue arrived, informing Long Feiye that Long Tianmo's poison was a complex mixture, requiring an antidote within eight days to prevent his demise, and warning that Han Cong'an, as chief imperial physician, faced severe repercussions. Gu Beiyue requested Han Yunxi's assistance in developing the antidote. Long Feiye attempted to deflect, claiming Han Yunxi was away on a leisure trip.

However, Gu Beiyue revealed that his apprentice had witnessed Gu Qishao and Ningjing assisting a weakened Han Yunxi into Herb-Ghost Valley, implying she had been poisoned. Alarmed, Long Feiye immediately departed for Herb-Ghost Valley with Gu Beiyue. Upon their arrival at Herb-Ghost Valley, Gu Qishao confirmed that Han Yunxi was recovering but not fully, and that his treatment had suppressed the poison.

When Long Feiye entered, Gu Qishao playfully chastised Han Yunxi for her recklessness in the Sinkhole, implying he had saved her, and subtly criticized Long Feiye's absence. Gu Beiyue explained that residual toxins in Han Yunxi's body required internal energy to expel. Long Feiye then took over, using his internal energy to remove the needles and expel the remaining toxins from Han Yunxi. Meanwhile, Long Tianmo briefly regained consciousness, accusing Emperor Tianhui of cruelty before succumbing to a severe relapse.

Enraged, Emperor Tianhui branded Han Cong'an a "quack" and ordered him imprisoned, demanding that new healers be found to treat Long Tianmo. At the Han Mansion, family members urged Han Ruoxue to appeal to Han Yunxi for their father's sake, but Han Ruoxue's pride made her refuse. Her stepmother and sister insisted, trying to persuade her that Han Yunxi would not hold grudges. Han Yunxi, having largely recovered, prepared to leave Herb-Ghost Valley.

Gu Qishao expressed his reluctance to see her go, hinting at his deeper feelings by contrasting his extended efforts in saving her with a "lover's" shorter, more impactful treatment. Han Yunxi, however, reaffirmed him as her benefactor and closest friend.
