> Legend of Awakening Recap

Mo Lin sat alone by the river, deep in thought about his upcoming wedding to Su Tang. His father, Mo Buliu, came to check on him, sensing his son was hiding something. Mo Lin, however, was quicker; he preemptively drugged his father, preventing him from intervening. Later that night, Mo Lin met Ling Ziyan at the back mountain. She kept watch while he entered the forbidden house to cultivate the Two Form Flower.

He took out the flower, but blooming it was far more challenging than he anticipated. Meanwhile, Yan Xifan and Lu Ping, having reconciled their past differences, were planning to share a drink when Yan Xifan suddenly realized that Ling Ziyan had taken the token Mo Lin had given him. He feared she was going to find Mo Lin. Indeed, Ling Ziyan had already reached Mo Lin, telling him she would stand guard.

She expressed regret for asking him to undertake such a dangerous task, but Mo Lin reassured her he was doing it willingly, not just for her, but to be a hero and return to marry Su Tang. He silently endured the pain of forcing the flower to bloom. Shortly after, Mo Buliu and the valley disciples, alerted by Lu Ping and Yan Xifan, rushed to the forbidden house.

Mo Buliu angrily confronted Ling Ziyan, accusing her of sending his son to risk his life on his wedding night, and questioned if she considered Su Tang's feelings. Ling Ziyan defended her actions, saying Mo Lin had a better chance of success than Yan Xifan. Just as Lu Ping and Yan Xifan arrived, Mo Lin successfully bloomed the Two Form Flower. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Mo Lin, triumphant, began to tell Lu Ping about Qin Sang's condition, but suddenly coughed up blood and collapsed into Mo Buliu's arms. Mo Buliu explained that Mo Lin had been previously poisoned, and his recent efforts had caused the toxins to invade his internal organs. With his last breaths, Mo Lin confessed that Qin Sang was suffering from a severe cold toxin, and her meridians were in disarray.

He had hoped the Two Form Flower could save her, just as it would save Lu Ping, and had intended to cultivate another for her, but he was out of time. Lu Ping, distraught, cried out that Mo Lin couldn't die, as Su Tang was waiting for him. Mo Lin apologized to his father, stating that marrying Su Tang had used up all his luck, and then passed away.

Overcome with grief and anger, Lu Ping accused Yan Xifan of causing Mo Lin's death. Ling Ziyan immediately stepped forward, taking the blame and offering her life to appease Lu Ping, explaining that Yan Xifan had wanted to bloom the flower himself, but she had begged Mo Lin to do it to protect Yan Xifan. During this tense moment, a valley guard reported that the Longjie Army had surrounded Wuyou Valley, demanding Lu Ping's surrender.

Yan Xifan angrily realized Ling Ziyan had orchestrated this, ordering the Longjie Army to surround the valley if she didn't return. Lu Ping, further enraged by Yan Xifan's perceived betrayal and subservience to the imperial court, called him a "servant" who had killed his own brother.

Ling Ziyan urged Yan Xifan to take Lu Ping, but Mo Buliu intervened, driving both Ling Ziyan and Yan Xifan, along with the Longjie Army, out of the valley, warning them that Wuyou Valley was his territory. Mo Buliu then told Lu Ping to find Su Tang, who was still waiting for Mo Lin in the osmanthus forest, unaware of what had happened. Lu Ping delivered the heartbreaking news to Su Tang.

Devastated and in denial, Su Tang refused to believe it, clinging to Mo Lin's promises and his belief in heroes. Unable to persuade her, Lu Ping gently knocked her unconscious and carried her back. Lu Ping entrusted Su Tang to Mo Buliu, acknowledging his father figure's wisdom. He declared his intention to leave Wuyou Valley, believing his Force of Awakening brought only conflict and that his departure was the best way to protect them.

He lamented his inability to live an ordinary life, resolving instead to master his innate power. As Lu Ping left, Yan Xifan confronted Ling Ziyan, realizing her deeper machinations and her service to the Emperor. Ling Ziyan admitted her schemes were all to protect him, revealing that the Emperor had demanded either Lu Ping or Yan Xifan perish.

Disgusted, Yan Xifan condemned her actions as betraying their brotherhood and left her, instructing the Longjie Army to return to Kaifeng and not interfere with Wuyou Valley. Yan Xifan returned to Wuyou Valley, desperately seeking Mo Buliu. Though initially turned away, he persevered, eventually finding Mo Buliu in the mist forest.

Mo Buliu confronted him, blaming outsiders like Yan Xifan for the tragedies befalling the valley, but Yan Xifan presented a letter Mo Lin had left for his father with Ling Ziyan. In the letter, Mo Lin expressed his love and loyalty, asking his father not to blame Yan Xifan, and proudly stating that he, the "most useless disciple," was now protecting them all.

Moved by his son's words, Mo Buliu agreed to Yan Xifan's plea to develop an antidote for the Force Eaters, stating it was his duty to his son. He asked Yan Xifan to bring him those infected with Xi Sui, hoping to find a cure.

When Yan Xifan asked to see Lu Ping, Mo Buliu informed him that Lu Ping had already left, leaving a message that his grudge with Yan Xifan was settled, but someone else would pay for the rest. Yan Xifan immediately realized Lu Ping was heading to seek revenge on the Emperor. Just then, a messenger brought a letter from Ling Ziyan, warning that Liu Song planned to persecute the people of Jin City.

Recognizing the urgency, and advised by Mo Buliu to rely on his father, Yan Xifan quickly departed for Jin City. He asked Mo Buliu to send a message to Yan Qiuci at Wuji Manor, urging him to stop Lu Ping at all costs.

Unbeknownst to them, Liu Song had already sent secret letters to various martial arts sects, revealing that Yan Qiuci had colluded with Emperor Shuo to assassinate Leng Xiutan nineteen years ago and had imprisoned and killed Lyu Chenfeng at Wuji Manor. This elaborate plot was designed to dismantle Yan Qiuci's authority and prestige in the Jianghu, leaving him isolated and causing chaos at the border.

Liu Song, driven by a deep-seated desire for vengeance, declared he would ignite a bloody war to make those who destroyed his home pay with their lives. Yan Xifan arrived in Jin City to find Ling Ziyan and the Longjie Army engaged in battle with Shanhai Gang members.

After quickly assessing the situation and giving orders to fortify the city and send the bodies of Force Eaters to Wuyou Valley for study, he noticed a letter on one of the fallen Shanhai Gang members. Reading it, Yan Xifan realized that the attack on Jin City was merely a distraction.

Shanhai Gang's true objective was to sow discord among the martial arts sects, destroy his father's reputation, and leave him without allies in the Jianghu, which would lead to chaos at the border. Immediately, Yan Xifan rushed back to Wuji Manor. At Wuji Manor, various Jianghu sects had already gathered, accusing Yan Qiuci of his past misdeeds.

Yan Qiuci boldly faced their accusations, defiantly stating that his actions, though perhaps controversial, had brought prosperity to the Jianghu for over a decade, a feat no one else could claim. He challenged them to find someone who could defend the border from the encroaching Shanhai Gang and prevent the kingdom's collapse, offering to abdicate and die if they could. Just as he finished, Yan Xifan's letter arrived, warning him of Lu Ping's intent to kill the Emperor.

Yan Qiuci, understanding the gravity of the situation, immediately set off to stop Lu Ping, despite the protests of the assembled martial artists and his own subordinates. He declared that his family's legendary sword would not remain sheathed while the kingdom was in peril. Yan Qiuci confronted Lu Ping, who was relentless in his pursuit of revenge. Lu Ping angrily challenged Yan Qiuci, stating he hadn't even sought vengeance for his own past grievances against him.

Yan Qiuci tried to reason with Lu Ping, claiming that Yan Xifan had already suffered on account of Lu Ping's grievances and urging Lu Ping to step aside and repent. He attempted to justify his past actions by arguing that Leng Xiutan's death had ultimately led to years of stability and growth for the martial arts world, and that his own leadership had ensured the safety of the border.

Lu Ping, however, saw through his words, accusing him of still serving Zhai Rong and acting out of self-interest, having slaughtered innocents. Lu Ping declared that he would not be stopped, and anyone who stood in his way would die. Yan Qiuci, equally resolute, accepted the challenge, stating that if Lu Ping was determined, he would die by Yan Qiuci's hand.

Lu Ping retorted that Yan Qiuci should save his "words of no regret" for Lu Ping's parents and Uncle Lyu in the afterlife, challenging Yan Qiuci to kill him if he truly wished to stop him, otherwise, he would relentlessly pursue Zhai Rong. With both men unyielding, they prepared for a fight to the death.
