Despite her reluctance, her teammates, including Duan Jiaxu and Xun, insisted she go to the hospital, prioritizing her health over work. Duan Jiaxu drove her himself, ensuring she received care.
Back at Sang Zhi's dorm, her roommates remarked on her formal attire, teasing her about dressing up for a "beauty pageant." Sang Zhi clarified she just wanted to make a good impression. Her roommate, Ning Wei, also probed if Sang Zhi was interning early to spend more time with someone. Soon after, Sang Yan called, revealing he was busy with his own relationship but still planning to pick Sang Zhi up.
Sang Zhi reluctantly confessed that she wouldn't be returning home, as she had found a hard-to-get internship in Yihe, a decision their parents had approved. This news enraged Sang Yan, who accused her of being foolish and warned her not to come crying if she got scammed. Sang Zhi retorted that he was childish for always broadcasting his relationships. At the end of the day, as her colleagues left, Shi Xiaoyu assigned Sang Zhi a box of invoices to process, forcing her to work overtime. At his own office, Duan Jiaxu and his team were also working late. When a food delivery ordered by Sang Zhi arrived for him, he was teased by his colleagues. Duan Jiaxu dropped her home before returning to his office, where he ended up pulling an all-nighter, only to be woken by colleagues returning from a late supper. The next morning, he surprised Sang Zhi by picking her up for work. She noticed he looked fatigued and was wearing the same clothes. He initially lied, claiming he owned multiple identical outfits, but soon admitted to working overtime. Before entering her building, Sang Zhi affectionately cupped his face and kissed him.
This intimate moment was witnessed by Shi Xiaoyu, who immediately called Jiang Ying to report that Duan Jiaxu and Sang Zhi were in a relationship, causing Jiang Ying's anger to spiral. Back at the office, Shi Xiaoyu harshly criticized Sang Zhi's first proposal draft, attacking the layout and font sizes and accusing her of being self-important.
A colleague, Pengxing, defended Sang Zhi, but Shi Xiaoyu reiterated her dislike, complaining that Sang Zhi "doesn't know anything, yet acts like she knows everything."
