He Canyang was looking up information about Alzheimer's disease when Cai Minmin, after learning about He Fanxing's father's situation, called He Canyang. She even danced for He Canyang, wanting to cheer him up. Before she danced for long, Cai Minmin was pulled away. After Ye Caiwei learned about He Fanxing's father's situation, she suggested going to visit him.
Ye Luming was a bit hesitant, afraid that Ye Caiwei meeting He Fanxing's father would put pressure on He Fanxing, so he planned to discuss it with He Fanxing first. He Fanxing was looking through her family photo album on her bed. She also put the cups she made with Yuan Song into a drawer. Yuan Song was peeking at He Fanxing outside Manager Li's office and was seen by Cong Xiao.
Cong Xiao told Yuan Song to give up, but Yuan Song was still unwilling. During lunch, He Fanxing told Cong Xiao and the others that because her father was sick, she planned to resign early and intended to leave the company next Monday. Cong Xiao and Xiao Bai were a bit disappointed. Colleagues were resigning one by one, and with He Fanxing leaving, they felt even more that the family of Wonderful Decoration was about to break up.
On the rooftop, He Fanxing thanked Yuan Song privately, saying she would ask He Canyang to treat him to a meal another day. Yuan Song, however, told He Fanxing that if she really wanted to thank him, she should treat him to a meal herself. He didn't want their last memory to end in an argument.
Yuan Song hadn't expected He Fanxing to agree, but surprisingly, she did, proposing to invite Yuan Song to play badminton on the weekend and treat him to dinner after the game. - At the He family home, Song Xue also came to visit He Fanxing's father. Seeing He Fanxing's mother worried about no one taking care of He Fanxing's father, He Fanxing quickly said that since she had resigned anyway, she would stay home and take care of him.
In the evening, He Fanxing's father was talking to He Fanxing's mother in the bedroom about his worries. He was worried that He Fanxing and He Canyang would have no one to take care of them in the future. He was even worried that by the day He Fanxing got married, he might not even recognize He Fanxing, let alone walk her down the aisle holding her hand.
He was also worried that if He Fanxing suffered any grievances after getting married, he wouldn't be able to understand her complaints. He Fanxing's mother quickly comforted He Fanxing's father, saying they had already contacted a hospital to get him medical treatment, and that He Fanxing now had a boyfriend and might get married in a year or two. He Fanxing's father told He Fanxing's mother not to rush He Fanxing into marriage.
He Fanxing's mother quickly said she wouldn't rush her, just give her a push. He Fanxing overheard her parents' conversation from outside the door and felt a bit sad. He Fanxing quietly closed the door and went to He Canyang's home. Song Xue noticed that He Fanxing was in a bad mood. He Fanxing told Song Xue that she wanted to get married. Song Xue immediately guessed that He Fanxing wanted to get married because of her father's illness.
Song Xue advised He Fanxing not to force herself to do something she didn't want to. He Fanxing, however, told Song Xue not to worry, saying she was just accelerating her relationship progress with Ye Luming with marriage as the premise, and trying to like Ye Luming to the extent of getting married. Song Xue sighed a little, feeling that the three of them, as best friends, seemed to have become the kind of people they once disliked.
Yang Xiaoyu used to look down on women who knew their husbands were cheating but refused to divorce because of their children. He Fanxing used to only want a pure romance and was unwilling to cultivate feelings with a suitable person. He Fanxing was a bit embarrassed and said only Song Xue stayed true to herself. Song Xue, however, confessed to He Fanxing that she was pregnant.
He Fanxing didn't believe her at first, but seeing that Song Xue hadn't had a single sip of alcohol, she became serious. He Fanxing asked Song Xue if Dongyang knew about her pregnancy. Song Xue said she had already broken up with Dongyang. She knew how much Dongyang disliked children, and she had already broken her agreement with Dongyang and didn't want to ruin Dongyang's life anymore.
He Fanxing went to the supermarket, bought a bunch of ingredients, and went to Ye Luming's home to cook with him. Ye Luming thought He Fanxing was in a bad mood, but He Fanxing denied it, saying it was just because Ye Luming was resting today. He Fanxing mentioned that she was about to resign and felt a little emotional. Ye Luming brought up Ye Caiwei wanting to visit He Fanxing's father.
He Fanxing didn't object, saying she also wanted to get to know Ye Luming's family. While they were chatting, Cai Minmin and Liu Zhanni also woke up, smelling the aroma of the food. While they were eating together, the more Liu Zhanni looked at He Fanxing, the more familiar she found her. Liu Zhanni suddenly recalled that the domestic helper she had seen at Yuan Song's house before was He Fanxing.
Cai Minmin invited Yuan Song out and asked him if his ex-girlfriend was He Fanxing. After getting a positive answer, Cai Minmin remembered how she used to show off to Yuan Song that Ye Luming had successfully pursued He Fanxing. Cai Minmin felt extremely guilty and tried every possible way to compensate Yuan Song. Seeing that Yuan Song still had a smile on his face when mentioning He Fanxing, Cai Minmin asked him if he still liked He Fanxing.
