She explained that its repair would demand an extraordinary amount of original Qi from nature, an amount difficult to gather since the Sage's departure. Acknowledging her superior understanding of formations, Ning Que implored her help.
Mo Shanshan promised to exert her utmost effort, though she couldn't guarantee success. Overwhelmed by days of anxiety and fatigue, Ning Que collapsed and quickly fell asleep. Mo Shanshan then led Ning Que through the capital, investigating the formation's weaknesses. They finally located the primary blockage at the south end of Vermilion Bird Street, which served as the vital gate of the God-Startling Formation. As Chen Mou marched towards the Imperial Palace, Yu Lian appeared, halting his advance. She trapped him using the Cicada's Cry technique, which prevented him from employing his Skill of God-Inspiring.
Chen Mou was astonished to discover that Yu Lian had broken through the Five Stages, becoming the Demonic Cult's first practitioner in a century to reach the Heaven Demon Stage.
