Love Between Fairy and Devil Episode 34 Recap
> Love Between Fairy and Devil Recap
Danyin was delighted to sit face-to-face with the resurrected God Chidi, expressing her desire to join her ranks for experience. However, God Chidi suddenly became murderous, hallucinating about betrayal. Disturbed, she urged Danyin to leave. Later that night, tormented by voices, God Chidi lost control. Guards, hearing the commotion, rushed to investigate, only to find her consumed by madness, her sword stained with their blood. News of God Chidi's primordial spirit being corrupted reached Lord Yunzhong and Changheng.
Dismissing it as the ravings of a deranged mind, Lord Yunzhong focused solely on the conflict between the two races, refusing to acknowledge the potential threat of the Evil God Tai Sui. He even warned Changheng against interfering, accusing him of prioritizing personal desires. Lord Yunzhong decreed that God Chidi should be executed. Dieyi, hearing the news, immediately informed Rong Hao.
That night, Lord Liyuan visited Danyin, urging her to care for Jieli in his absence, a request that made her suspicious. After he left, Danyin secretly followed him. Lord Liyuan arrived at the Karma Jail, intending to release Rong Hao. Danyin intervened, preventing him. Dieyi seized the opportunity to pick up a jade token and unlock the prison. Rong Hao attacked Lord Liyuan. As Danyin tried to stop Rong Hao, Dieyi turned against them, holding the injured Lord Liyuan hostage.
Jieli then appeared, initially feigning allegiance to Dieyi. However, she swiftly betrayed Dieyi by stabbing her. Afterward, Lord Liyuan settled his daughters in a room, preparing to surrender to Lord Yunzhong, while urging Danyin to pretend nothing had happened. Danyin protested, but Jieli, with a heavy heart, rendered her unconscious, fulfilling their father's wish. Danyin awoke furious with Jieli, blaming her for their misfortunes.
Jieli, in turn, admitted that her sole aim was survival, even through deceit and betrayal, and confessed her long-held hatred for Dieyi, who had manipulated her. With Dieyi dead, Jieli was without an antidote. Meanwhile, Dongfang Qingcang learned from Changheng that the Goddess knew about his past relationship with Xiao Lanhua. The Goddess declared that she was Xi Yun, not Xiao Lanhua. Dongfang Qingcang refused to accept this, insisting that she was still "Orchid."
The Goddess revealed that "Orchid" was merely a faint memory attached to a fake form created by Si Ming to conceal her true identity as Xilan holy grass. Dongfang Qingcang was unwilling to accept it, even after she announced her upcoming marriage to Changheng. Separately, Dongfang Qingcang told Shang Que that God Chidi's warning about Tai Sui was indeed true; Tai Sui had escaped his seal when Dongfang Qingcang's primordial spirit was destroyed.
Driven by desperation, Danyin carried the poisoned Jieli to Xishan to seek the Goddess's healing. On the way, Jieli finally called Danyin "Sister." At Arbiter Hall, Danyin pleaded for the Goddess's help. The Goddess agreed to heal Jieli. Danyin then reported Rong Hao's escape from the Karma Jail and God Chidi's madness. The Goddess listened intently. Later, Shang Que expressed his concern for Jieli, but she distanced herself, feeling unworthy of his affection and fearing inevitable loss.
Shang Que attempted to use a Love Rekindling Candle to restore Jieli, but Dongfang Qingcang stopped him, expressing doubt that Jieli could return. Danyin, reflecting on Jieli's pain and her own, confronted Changheng. She confessed her long-held secret love for him, admitting that she had suppressed the truth she saw in the Tianji Mirror, clinging to the hope that he might one day love her. She urged Changheng not to be controlled by similar delusions regarding the Goddess. Changheng accepted his fate, stating he would endure the consequences for her sake.
