And the Winner Is Love Episode 46 Recap
> And the Winner Is Love Recap
The physician informed Shangguan Tou that someone must have transferred vital energy to Fengzi while she was unconscious, which allowed her to survive until reaching Moon Valley. Soon after, Fengzi regained consciousness and was relieved to see Shangguan Tou alive. She recounted how Xia Qingmei, driven mad by Lord Lu's demand for the Nine Moves of Lotus God, had attacked her.
However, Fengzi believed that Xia Qingmei, even in his madness, had intentionally held back and avoided using his most lethal techniques, showing mercy. Shangguan Tou, unwilling to reveal the truth of Xia Qingmei's death, told Fengzi that Xia Qingmei had disappeared by the time he arrived. When Fengzi insisted on leaving immediately to search for her husband, Shangguan Tou urged her to consider the child she was carrying, revealing her pregnancy.
Fengzi, realizing she was pregnant with Xia Qingmei's child, decided to rest at Moon Valley, while Shangguan Tou promised to find Xia Qingmei for her. Meanwhile, Yuwen Muyuan, following Lord Lu’s orders, had overseen the production of a large quantity of Black Fire. Despite Muyuan’s efficiency, Lord Lu remained wary, sending Taishi Cheng to inspect the Black Fire. That night, Zhong Xuezhi secretly entered the building where the Black Fire was supposedly stored.
Yuwen Muyuan quickly appeared, having anticipated her arrival. He revealed that the room contained only coal cinder, and he had hidden the real Black Fire in a secret location where no one could find it. Shangguan Tou then exposed Muyuan’s true intention: to assassinate Lord Lu.
Shangguan Tou explained that on the day he was pushed off the cliff, Yuwen Muyuan, though appearing to attack him, had deliberately avoided vital points and instead sealed his meridians to stop the bleeding, allowing him to survive. Yuwen Muyuan confessed that his allegiance to Lord Lu was a pretense. He was the mysterious informant who had been secretly assisting them, and he was also responsible for killing Feng Mo and transferring vital energy to Fengzi.
Zhong Xuezhi, finally understanding, expressed regret for having misunderstood him. Muyuan then declared his plan: in two days, when Lord Lu traveled to Sword Manor, he would use the Black Fire to blow him up along the way, eliminating the threat once and for all. However, Shangguan Tou and Zhong Xuezhi opposed this rash approach.
They argued that the court needed to be informed of Lord Lu's wicked deeds, and their best course of action was to rely on the Crown Prince. Yuwen Muyuan, unconvinced, insisted that the Crown Prince, being Lord Lu's brother, would inevitably show favoritism. He refused to abandon his plan to kill Lord Lu on the road. Shangguan Tou warned that such an act would also cost Muyuan his life, a fate Zhong Xuezhi would not wish for.
Muyuan smiled faintly, stating that his own fate was inconsequential. He then proposed a challenge: a duel, where the winner's plan would be adopted. As they fought, an unexpected understanding passed between them; Shangguan Tou didn't dodge, and Muyuan held back his final strike. Sitting together afterward, Muyuan, with a sense of resignation, expressed his belief in Shangguan Tou's ability to protect Zhong Xuezhi.
He asked Shangguan Tou to be Xuezhi's "armor" from now on, as he felt he had run out of energy. He also shared that Xuezhi loved osmanthus cakes, and asked Shangguan Tou to buy them for her, subtly acknowledging his own long-standing, unspoken care. Just then, Zhong Xuezhi emerged, surprised to see Che Qu. Che Qu confirmed that he had long known about Yuwen Muyuan's feigned loyalty and had been helping him relay information.
Zhong Xuezhi quickly devised a comprehensive plan: Che Qu, Zhu Sha, and other Hall of Flames disciples would raid the Black Fire workshop, while Yuwen Muyuan, as an inside man, would lead Lord Lu's Warriors in Black into Che Qu's ambush. Once the Warriors were dealt with, Zhong Xuezhi would infiltrate Lord Lu’s Mansion to capture him. Shangguan Tou would then transport the confiscated Black Fire to the capital to present to the Crown Prince as evidence.
However, Lord Lu was steps ahead, having already suspected Yuwen Muyuan. He preemptively captured Muyuan and all the ambushing Hall of Flames disciples, binding them in separate locations. This maneuver forced Zhong Xuezhi into an impossible choice: she could only rescue one group. Shangguan Tou, having already secured the actual Black Fire from Muyuan, met with the Crown Prince's representatives on the road.
He detonated a small portion of the Black Fire, demonstrating its terrifying power and Lord Lu’s dangerous intentions, urging the representatives to report this to the Crown Prince. Shangguan Tou then rushed back to aid Zhong Xuezhi. In the meantime, Zhong Xuezhi went to rescue Yuwen Muyuan. As she approached, Muyuan, despite being held captive, bravely warned her of an ambush.
In the chaotic exchange of arrows, Yuwen Muyuan threw himself in front of Zhong Xuezhi, taking a volley of arrows to protect her. He collapsed, spitting blood, as she watched in horror.
