The next morning, she felt completely dispirited and avoided Jiang Chen when she saw him downstairs. Her lethargy led her to be late for school, where she was caught by the disciplinary director and brought to her class, where Ms. Liu scolded her for tardiness.
Later, Ms. Liu, suspecting Chen Xiaoxi of puppy love due to a recorded conversation played at the competition, called Chen Xiaoxi to her office for a stern talk, urging her to focus on her studies.
