Synopsis
To avenge her father and uncover the truth behind his false conviction, Shen Bingfan disguises her identity and passes the entrance exam to join the Northern Bureau of the Jinyiwei (Imperial Guard).
She befriends Hua Mange, known as the "Hundred-Faced Spirit Cat," and a civilian girl named Cheng Xintian.
During her investigation, she also gets to know Xu Duoyu, a handyman in the office; Chang Beiming, the mysterious owner of the Serenity Tower; and Guan Yunfeng, a loyal constable.
This group of like-minded young heroes become close friends. Driven by their ideals and sense of duty, they fear no power, solve one mystery after another, and gradually uncover the truth behind the injustice of years past, ultimately bringing the traitor hidden within the Northern Bureau of the Jinyiwei (Imperial Guard) to justice.
