> Legend of Zang Hai Recap

Zang Hai and Xiang Antu entered the sacred site where the Gui Seal was sealed and discovered the origin of the Yin Soldiers. As soon as they emerged, they were blocked by Zhuang Zhixing and Zhao Bingwen and had no choice but to surrender. Zhao Bingwen thanked Zhuang Zhixing for informing him, which allowed him to capture Zang Hai and Xiang Antu smoothly.

He recommended Zhuang Zhixing to the newly ascended Crown Prince of Linzi, who conferred upon Zhuang Zhixing the title of General of Agile Cavalry. Zhao Bingwen instructed Zhuang Zhixing to capture the royal court of Dongxia in one strike, so Dongxia would never rise again. Although Zhuang Zhixing lacked sufficient troops, Zhao Bingwen promised to immediately provide him with a new batch of soldiers. Zang Hai was brought in, and Zhao Bingwen seized the booklet left behind by Zhang Mie.

Upon seeing Zhuang Zhixing, Zang Hai lashed out at him, cursing him furiously. Zhuang Zhixing remained unapologetic and even justified his actions, claiming that everything he did was for the revival of the Zhuang family. Following the methods outlined in the booklet, Zhao Bingwen extracted the toxic liquid from the Gui Seal and had a geomancer drink it.

Then he drew the poisonous blood from the man's body and forced one thousand Dongxia laborers working on the Fengshan Altar to drink it. After drinking the poisoned wine, the laborers turned into savage monsters, and Zhao Bingwen ordered the man killed. Zhao Bingwen noticed that a page was torn out of the booklet and forced Zang Hai to reveal its contents.

Zang Hai insisted that the Yin Soldiers were monsters and advised Zhao Bingwen to give up before it was too late. Zhao Bingwen suspected that the missing page contained instructions on how to control the Yin Soldiers, but Zang Hai firmly denied it. Not believing him, Zhao Bingwen decided to go to the sacred site himself, and Zhuang Zhixing offered to escort him.

Xiang Antu rushed back to Dongxia on horseback to warn Ming Yu Su Ti to beware of an invasion by Great Yong. Ming Yu Su Ti refused to believe her. In her view, Zhao Bingwen had come this time to cooperate. Xiang Antu urged her to wake up—Zhao Bingwen was using the Gui Seal to summon the Yin Soldiers and was planning to destroy Dongxia completely.

Ming Yu Su Ti suspected Xiang Antu was deliberately sowing discord for the sake of the throne. Xiang Antu made it clear she had no interest in the throne—she only wanted to save the people of Dongxia. Zhao Bingwen forced Zang Hai to lead the way. Zang Hai was reluctant, fearing they would not come back alive, but Zhao Bingwen was determined, so Zang Hai had no choice but to guide him into the sacred site.

Zhao Bingwen placed the Gui Seal back in its original position, and soon a small bowl of toxic liquid flowed out. He forced Zang Hai to drink the poison, prompting Zang Hai to reveal that the missing page’s contents were depicted on the wall mural. Zhao Bingwen examined the mural carefully but found nothing unusual.

Zang Hai repeatedly claimed that the Yin Soldiers could not be controlled and that Zhao Bingwen would never be able to achieve his ambitions with the Gui Seal. Zhuang Zhixing waited for a long time but didn’t see Zhao Bingwen and Zang Hai come out. Worried that Zang Hai might be in danger, he wanted to go in, but Zhao Bingwen’s guards blocked him fiercely. They had already discovered that Zhuang Zhixing had let Xiang Antu escape.

A fierce battle broke out between the two sides. Zang Hai summoned the Dongxia Yin Soldiers, and they surrounded Zhao Bingwen. Terrified, Zhao Bingwen fled in panic. In a daze, he felt as if his body had been pierced, but it was all an illusion—Zhao Bingwen was literally scared to death by his own hallucinations. Zhuang Zhixing and the officers brought by Zhao Bingwen engaged in a life-and-death struggle. Xiang Antu arrived just in time with reinforcements from Dongxia.

They quickly wiped out the enemy soldiers. Xiang Antu rushed into the sacred site to find Zang Hai, and he happened to be coming out with the Gui Seal. The two of them embraced tightly. The newly crowned emperor learned of Zhao Bingwen’s actions and reinstated Zang Hai to his former position. Zhuang Zhixing and Zang Hai returned to the capital to report. Upon returning to the capital, Zang Hai went to the palace to see the emperor.

The emperor was playing chess, and Zang Hai patiently waited by his side. After the game ended, the emperor invited Zang Hai to play a round and burned all the wooden carvings created by the late emperor. Zang Hai asked the emperor to proclaim his father Kuai Duo’s innocence. He also requested permission to resign and return home. Despite the emperor's repeated pleas, Zang Hai refused.

Liu Chu came to pay respects at Gao Ming’s grave and then left the capital. Xiang Antu visited the Eighth Young Master, who was teaching at the Great Yong Academy. Before they could talk much, Xiang Antu was pulled away by students. She ran into Zang Hai and left the capital with him. Zang Hai left all his money to Guan Feng and Shi Lei, who decided to follow him.

Zhuang Zhixing returned to the Marquis of Pingjin’s residence, where the maids and servants lined up in two rows to welcome him home. Although Zhuang Zhixing had returned to his homeland, all his loved ones were gone, and his heart was filled with emotion. As Zang Hai and Xiang Antu arrived at the city gate, they seemed to see the younger version of themselves when they first came to the capital. Xiang Antu called out loudly to Zang Hai, and he finally snapped out of his memories.
