The disciples of the Yueyang Sect brought back Fang Bu Zhi's corpse. Zhou Zishu recognized him as the one who stole Wen Kexing’s Glazed Armor and couldn’t help but sigh with emotion. Gao Chong carefully examined the body from head to toe and found several “Raindrop on Banana Leaves” needles in Fang Bu Zhi’s throat.

Zhou Zishu immediately identified them as hidden weapons unique to the Window of Heaven and concluded that Han Ying must have snatched the Glazed Armor from Fang Bu Zhi. Not wanting to stay any longer, he quickly found an excuse to leave. Gao Chong, unable to stop him, invited them to attend the Heroes Conference. Cao Weining took Gu Xiang to try the local delicacies. His cute and clumsy demeanor made Gu Xiang laugh uncontrollably.

She couldn’t resist teasing him by mentioning the Ghoul, claiming it only eats handsome men like him. Cao Weining vowed to protect Gu Xiang and wipe out all evil spirits in the world. Gu Xiang smiled without responding. Gu Xiang suddenly saw a mother and daughter sent by Wen Kexing to make contact, claiming they were the singers from before.

Gu Xiang quickly approached them to deliver a message, then pretended to have mistaken them for someone else and continued dining with Cao Weining. Wen Kexing ordered a full table of dishes, but Zhou Zishu had no appetite, aware that his sense of taste was gradually fading. He drank alone in silence, regretting sending Zhang Chengling to the Five Lakes Alliance.

Wen Kexing gently comforted him and shared a story from his childhood about raising a puppy, only to betray it in the end. Just as Zhou Zishu was about to sleep, he was struck by tinnitus. He had no choice but to sit in meditation to heal his internal injuries. Wen Kexing played the xiao in the room to assist him, and Zhou Zishu quickly regained his energy.

Early the next morning, Wen Kexing came to wake him up for a walk to Fanyue Tower. Zhou Zishu reluctantly accompanied him. The scenery around Fanyue Tower was breathtaking. The lakes and mountains reflected between the long corridors and pavilions. Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing climbed to a high spot and saw the Four Gentlemen of Anji, now old with white hair, enjoying themselves in a pavilion.

Scholar Lao Du played the qin, the Pei couple accompanied on the flute, and the lone swordsman He Yifan practiced swordsmanship nearby—a tranquil and picturesque scene. Zhou Zishu explained their background to Wen Kexing: the four of them, like-minded and close, had retired from the martial world fifteen years ago to live in a beautiful bamboo forest in Anji.

Seeing this scene stirred Zhou Zishu’s emotions, reminding him of the journey he had shared with Wen Kexing—both foes and friends—which left him full of mixed feelings. Zhang Chengling practiced martial arts with the second-generation disciples. A senior brother, who clearly disliked him, found excuses to whip him. Zhang Chengling held back his grievances and continued training. After practice, he returned to his quarters feeling dejected, only to see Gu Xiang approaching. Overwhelmed by emotions, tears streamed down his face.

He was eager to know the whereabouts of Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing. Gu Xiang admitted she was ordered to protect him, which gave him some comfort. That night was the full moon. Wen Kexing was in high spirits, sitting on the roof reciting poetry and admiring the moon. Zhou Zishu came to join him for a drink. Suddenly, the sound of clashing blades rang out.

Zhou Zishu looked outside and saw two people fighting, disappointed that such a beautiful night was being ruined. Wen Kexing, however, was unfazed and took him to see more life-and-death battles. By the time they arrived, the one-eyed swordsman Jiang Che and the wild-blade wielder Li Heng had perished together, fighting over a piece of Glazed Armor. Zhou Zishu assumed it was the one stolen by Fang Bu Zhi. Wen Kexing sneered, prompting Zhou Zishu to think deeper.

He quickly realized Wen Kexing had made many fake pieces of Glazed Armor to incite mutual slaughter among the martial world. Disappointed, Zhou Zishu angrily stopped speaking to him. That night, conflicts erupted throughout Yueyang City as everyone fought over the Glazed Armor, creating the illusion that the city was flooded with it. Han Ying obtained two identical pieces and was deeply confused. Wen Kexing brought Zhou Zishu breakfast the next morning, only to find his room empty.

Meanwhile, Zhu Yaozhi returned to the Yueyang Sect, battered and bruised. The disciples hurried to carry him back. Gao Chong was furious upon hearing of the chaos the night before. Gao Xiaolian stayed by Zhu Yaozhi’s side without leaving. He remained unconscious. The Four Gentlemen of Anji obtained a piece of Glazed Armor, which quickly attracted disciples from the Beggar Sect, Huashan Sect, and Kongtong Sect who tried to seize it.

Huang He led the Beggar Sect in surrounding them, while the other sects joined in, demanding they hand over the armor. A short man directed Gaoshan Slave to attack them. Tensions escalated. Gao Chong and Shen Shen arrived just in time with Yueyang Sect disciples and severely punished the intruding sects. Huang He mocked Gao Chong, and Shen Shen stepped forward to argue with him. Granny Tao Hong and Old Man Green Willow hurled insults at Shen Shen.

Just then, three of the Four Gentlemen were murdered. A Beggar Sect disciple took the armor from Madam Pei. Upon seeing this, Lao Du smashed his qin and committed suicide on the spot. Wen Kexing witnessed the tragedy and was filled with remorse. Gao Chong, grief-stricken, threw two pieces of Glazed Armor at Huang He, promising to publicly address the matter after the Heroes Conference. Before leaving, he threatened to settle things with Huang He once and for all. Huang He picked up the pieces, only to find both were fake, making him gnash his teeth in fury.
