Word of Honor Episode 21 Recap
> Word of Honor Recap
The Scorpion King summoned the Lustful Ghost, Happy Ghost, and Changing Ghost, and ordered them to annihilate the Xianxia Sect. Black Grim Reaper protested but was immediately drugged unconscious by the Poison Bodhisattva. Changing Ghost was furious and forced Poison Bodhisattva to hand over the antidote. The two erupted into a heated quarrel. The Scorpion King loudly stopped them and threatened Changing Ghost, who had no choice but to obey.
The Scorpion King assigned Handsome Arhat to accompany them—actually to monitor them—and instructed him to leave a few survivors from the Xianxia Sect as a warning to other martial arts sects. Lustful Ghost and Happy Ghost didn’t want to be used as pawns by Zhao Jing. Changing Ghost had long since seen through Zhao Jing’s malicious intentions, but having already betrayed Wen Kexing, they didn’t want to lose Zhao Jing, their last lifeline.
Changing Ghost still shivered at the thought of Wen Kexing’s methods—he had skinned the Old Ghost Master alive to become Chief of Ghost Valley. Zhang Chengling curiously asked why Wen Kexing didn’t return to Four Seasons Manor with Zhou Zishu back then. Zhou Zishu clearly remembered that Qin Huaizhang had urgent matters and couldn’t bring the injured Zhen Ruyu and his family along. He promised to return in three months to fetch them.
When Qin Huaizhang returned after finishing his business, he found their village razed to the ground. This became his lifelong regret. Even until his death, he never forgot his second disciple, Zhen Yan. Zhang Chengling guessed that Wen Kexing had recognized Zhou Zishu long ago but refused to reunite. Zhou Zishu believed Wen Kexing had his own reasons. Hearing their conversation, Wen Kexing was overwhelmed with emotion but feigned calm as he rejoined the group.
Zhang Chengling affectionately hugged him and called him “Shishu. ” Ye Baiyi, wanting to atone for Rong Xuan, offered to fulfill a wish for Wen Kexing. Wen Kexing only asked him to heal Zhou Zishu’s injuries. Ye Baiyi immediately set out to find a healer and told the three of them to patiently wait at Four Seasons Manor. Wen Kexing was overjoyed to learn that Zhou Zishu could be saved, and Zhang Chengling was equally delighted.
The three set out for Four Seasons Manor. Yu Qiufeng came to see Zhao Jing, who scolded him for not attending the Heroes Conference. Yu Qiufeng, putting on airs, revealed a rumor circulating in the martial world: Luo Fumeng was once Zhao Jing’s betrothed, but on the wedding day, he eloped with the daughter of a wealthy military commissioner. Luo Fumeng, driven mad with rage, vowed to kill all unfaithful men. Zhao Jing listened without reaction.
Originally, Zhao Jing had ordered the Scorpion King to have Luo Fumeng relocated, but those sent were all killed at the Yueyang Sect. Zhao Jing suspected Yu Qiufeng of rescuing her. The Scorpion King wanted to kill Yu Qiufeng in a fit of rage, but Zhao Jing forbade rash action to avoid public scrutiny. Zhao Jing instead sent Wuying to notify Lustful Ghost to handle the matter.
On the street, Wen Kexing saw a coded message from the List of the Unfaithful and rushed to meet two women—survivors of the organization. They told him in detail about the massacre they had suffered. Wen Kexing forbade them from returning to Qingya Mountain. Zhang Chengling pestered Zhou Zishu for a bedtime story. Exhausted, Zhou Zishu passed the task to Wen Kexing, who recounted a childhood tale about the two of them stealing honey.
Lustful Ghost, acting on orders, went to the Huashan Sect to find Luo Fumeng and ran into Liu Qianqiao. They fought fiercely, and he knocked her down, attempting to assault her. The Scorpion King and Poison Bodhisattva arrived just in time. Luo Fumeng ran out of the room, madly shouting “Jing-lang. ” The Scorpion King was stunned. Mistaking his reaction for desire, Lustful Ghost mocked him, provoking the Scorpion King to kill him in a rage.
Yu Qiufeng rushed back, begging the Scorpion King to spare Liu Qianqiao and promising to hand over the Glazed Armor. He swore to protect her. The Poison Bodhisattva publicly exposed Yu Qiufeng as the most heartless man in the world: years ago, Liu Qianqiao was humiliated and disfigured by his wife, and he had hidden away. Liu Qianqiao admitted she had given him a fake Glazed Armor, only to get his help in rescuing Luo Fumeng.
Liu Qianqiao knelt before the Scorpion King, pledging her loyalty. The Scorpion King learned that Luo Fumeng had drunk Meng Po Soup and gone mad. He ordered the Poison Bodhisattva to take Liu Qianqiao and Luo Fumeng away and make sure no one saw them. On their way to Four Seasons Manor, Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing, with Zhang Chengling, stopped for tea and encountered injured disciples of the Xianxia Sect.
The tea seller told them the sect had been raided. Zhou Zishu immediately took the group to investigate. Gu Xiang and Cao Weining also ran into injured Xianxia disciples and, confused, crossed paths with Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing.
