Everyone was waiting for the meteor shower to arrive on the abandoned rooftop. To pass the time, Jia Yichun suggested they play a game and asked Zhao Fanzhou to demonstrate with her. When asked who she would invite to dinner, Jia Yichun chose Zhao Fanzhou, but Zhao Fanzhou chose Zhou Xiao. Zhou Xiao mistakenly thought Zhao Fanzhou was going to make her pay for the meal, but was interrupted.
Feeling unhappy, she went to the other side of the balcony alone to listen to music and feel the breeze. Zhao Fanzhou's gaze, however, followed her the entire time. When a question about mothers came up, Zhao Fanzhou and Jia Yichun suddenly got up and stopped playing. Zhou Xiao felt a little lonely when she saw Zhao Fanzhou and Jia Yichun standing together with their backs to her. Cai Yasi seemed to understand Zhou Xiao's thoughts.
Jia Yichun told Zhao Fanzhou that she had heard from Tao Ling that Cai Yasi and Zhou Xiao grew up together, just like they did, and that after the romantic confession at the school anniversary, the two of them would definitely get together sooner or later. To her surprise, Zhao Fanzhou told her coldly, "Growing up together doesn't necessarily mean you'll end up together. They won't, and neither will we."
Jia Yichun felt very upset and stood there alone, lost in thought, feeling the wind. The meteor shower didn't arrive for a long time, and everyone was getting tired, so they lay down on the table and fell asleep. Xie Yixing even snatched Zhao Fanzhou's pillow. Zhou Xiao then secretly took the Conan doll and gave it to Zhao Fanzhou to put under his head. Cai Yasi, standing in the distance, saw this scene and understood Zhou Xiao's choice.
He felt very sad and tore off the QR code on the Conan doll. The QR code contained his heartfelt confession of love for Zhou Xiao. He hoped Zhou Xiao would consider him. In everyone else's eyes, the meteors were brilliant and dazzling, but Cai Yasi felt especially lonely tonight. Everyone went home for the winter break and spent the holiday eating and drinking.
Zhou Xiao found herself missing Zhao Fanzhou a little and actually filled her novel draft with Zhao Fanzhou's name. Zhao Fanzhou sent her a text message asking when she would return to school and said he would go pick her up. That evening, Xie Yixing complained to Zhao Fanzhou in the dorm about how Zhu Lu and Chen Yu were flirting while repairing the badminton racket that day.
He was very angry that Zhao Fanzhou wasn't listening to him carefully. Zhao Fanzhou planned to confess to Zhou Xiao. Xie Yixing was very envious of Zhao Fanzhou, wondering why he was handsome and rich yet could never win Zhu Lu's heart. In the girls' dorm, Zhu Lu, because of her recent close interactions with Chen Yu, also planned to confess to Chen Yu.
