The Flame's Daughter Episode 50 Recap
> The Flame's Daughter Recap
Lie Ruge, disguised as Anye Ming, lost her consciousness after taking a potion, only to awaken seemingly disoriented. Anye Luo, believing his beloved Anye Ming had returned, lovingly tended to her, even pouring her water. He declared that he could forgive anyone for the pain they caused him, so long as she remained with him. Still, Anye Ming seemed haunted by Zhan Feitian.
Anye Luo tried to reassure her, claiming Zhan Feitian was merely a hallucination brought on by her cultivation. Anye Ming, however, remained uncertain. Desperate to erase Zhan Feitian from Anye Ming's memory, Anye Luo sought out Yin Xue, demanding a solution. Yin Xue declared it impossible, explaining Anye Ming's deep feelings for Zhan Feitian were too strong to forget.
He suggested that the only way to secure Anye Ming's loyalty was for Anye Luo to marry her before her memories returned. This way, even if she remembered Zhan Feitian later, it would be too late. Anye Luo, pleased with the idea, then confronted Anye Ming. He threatened to kill everyone in Dark River Palace and other innocent lives if she refused to marry him.
When she still hesitated, he seized Xunyi, revealing she was her Third Junior Sister's daughter, and threatened her life. Fearing for Xunyi and other innocent lives, Anye Ming reluctantly agreed to Anye Luo's proposal, and he immediately ordered a wedding banquet for the next day. Later, Xunyi approached Anye Ming, pleading with her to convince Anye Luo to release her two friends, Zhan Feng and Yu Zihan, who were being held captive. Anye Ming agreed to help them.
On the wedding day, Anye Ming suddenly appeared to be in distress. Anye Luo, greatly concerned, quickly summoned Yin Xue. Yin Xue ordered all Dark River Palace members to withdraw, ensuring no one remained within thirty meters, then instructed Xunyi to guard the entrance. Once alone, Lie Ruge revealed her deception to a surprised Yin Xue. She had not consumed the blood potion he gave her, having discreetly dissolved it with her internal energy; her illness was merely a pretense.
Yin Xue had intended for her to become Anye Ming to protect her, ensuring her safety whether the assassination attempt on Anye Luo succeeded or failed. Lie Ruge, understanding his intentions, explained she could not bear to let him and Zhan Feng face the danger alone. She believed their combined strength offered a better chance to defeat Anye Luo. She pressed Yin Xue for Anye Luo's weakness.
Seeing her unwavering resolve, Yin Xue revealed Anye Luo's vital point was his glabella, an area gravely injured by her mother in the past, making a direct strike there potentially fatal. Lie Ruge declared her plan to wait for the opportune moment when Anye Luo's guard was down to deliver the killing blow, adding that after this matter concluded, she would retire from Jianghu.
She also told him that she would not blame him, even if he treated her as her mother. The Dark River Palace was adorned in festive red for the wedding, but a somber mood hung over Yu Zihan and Zhan Feng, who were forced to attend. Anye Luo, noting the silence among his disciples, asked Yin Xue to play the zither to lighten the mood. During the feast, Zhan Feng, unable to contain his contempt, challenged Anye Luo.
As Anye Luo moved to punish Zhan Feng, Lie Ruge, realizing Zhan Feng was outmatched, intentionally stepped in front of Anye Luo, taking a blow meant for Zhan Feng. Anye Luo was horrified by what he believed was Anye Ming's sacrifice. Seizing this moment of distraction, Lie Ruge, using a hairpin left by the real Anye Ming, plunged it into Anye Luo's glabella. Anye Luo finally realized he had been tricked and that "Anye Ming" was Lie Ruge.
Infuriated, he vowed to make everyone pay and be buried with his true beloved. Yin Xue then unleashed his full power to confront Anye Luo. With immense effort, Yin Xue channeled his energy into a palm strike, hitting Anye Luo's glabella. Anye Luo finally succumbed and died.
Lie Ruge rushed to a fading Yin Xue, who, with his last breath, told her she was his long-lost love from a previous life, and the marriage certificate he wrote was always meant for her, not as a stand-in. With these words, Yin Xue dissolved into shimmering light in her arms, leaving Lie Ruge clutching only his clothes and screaming in despair.
After the battle, Zhan Feng regained consciousness and rescued Lei Jinghong, Dao Liexiang, and others who had been imprisoned. With Anye Luo dead, peace slowly returned to the land. Youqin Hong visited Lie Ruge at Flaming Manor to bid her farewell.
Lie Ruge asked if he knew the location of the Ethereality Clique, but Youqin Hong explained the sect was hidden from the world, only discoverable by the fated, and he himself had only found it once with his master's guidance. He advised her to let go of the idea, as finding it after Yin Xue's demise would be even more impossible.
Youqin Hong also revealed that Yin Xue had been waiting for her his entire life, for her to appear, to grow up, and to reunite with him. Lie Ruge, holding the marriage certificate Yin Xue had written, wept, remembering his promise to marry her on the day Dark River Palace was destroyed. Meanwhile, at Flaming Manor, Zhan Feng directed his subordinates to eliminate the remaining remnants of Dark River Palace to prevent any future threats.
He also ordered the rebuilding of Snap Thunder Village and other sects destroyed by Dark River Palace, and declared that the truth about the Duan Lei Zhuang master and the private taxes would be revealed to clear his name. The elders of Flaming Manor urged Zhan Feng to reclaim his position as Deputy Sect Leader. Zhan Feng, however, expressed his indifference to power and revealed a shocking truth: Lie Mingjing was his biological father. Later, Zhan Feng knelt before Lie Mingjing's memorial tablet, speaking to his father's spirit, finding solace in the newfound peace.
