Liu Wanyu sent many messages to Mai Chenghuan, but she didn’t respond. Worried, Liu Wanyu made sweet rice balls early in the morning and asked Mai Laitian to take them to her. Mai Chenghuan officially took over Xing'anli Hotel and called on all staff to work together. Liao Gang publicly challenged her and made sarcastic remarks. However, she had done her homework on every employee and knew them well.

She knew Liao Gang had started as a bellhop and was promoted to concierge supervisor due to outstanding performance. She also realized that Chen Shuzhen’s management model was outdated and needed to gradually adjust the salary structure. She promised bonuses and dividends for excellent employees and encouraged everyone to treat the hotel as their home. The staff applauded her enthusiastically. Mai Laitian walked in and saw the scene, feeling very gratified.

She felt it was inappropriate and offered her room instead, saying she would move out otherwise. Liu Wanyu firmly refused. Not wanting to argue, Mai Chenghuan left. When Mai Chengzao came home from work, he supported Mai Chenghuan’s decision. Liu Wanyu still refused to move. So he decided to move out and live with her. After much consideration, Liu Wanyu reluctantly agreed but told him repeatedly to watch over everything Mai Chenghuan did.

Mai Chengzao packed and moved in with Mai Chenghuan, who arranged for him to stay in the staff dormitory. Yao Zhiming also moved into the attic. When He Dong heard about it, he couldn't help teasing him. Yao Zhiming prepared a lovely breakfast the next morning, impressing both Liu Wanyu and Mai Laitian. The revenue at Xing'anli wasn’t ideal. Mai Chenghuan came up with practical ideas and asked Sherry to refer business orders rejected by Botticelli.

Yao Zhiming came home promptly after work, bringing fresh salmon. Liu Wanyu cooked a big meal. She didn’t dare eat raw fish and urged Liu Wanyu to eat more home-cooked food. After dinner, Yao Zhiming took the initiative to wash the dishes, earning praise from Liu Wanyu and Mai Laitian before they went out for a walk. Mai Chenghuan met with Director Zheng from Shanghai Daily Chemicals to discuss a business reception and accidentally learned he was getting married soon.

Yao Zhiming arrived to discuss cooperation with Director Zheng, so Mai Chenghuan had to leave first. Afterward, he left Xing'anli to apologize to her. She admitted their business reception couldn’t compete with Botticelli’s and wanted to organize weddings instead. Yao Zhiming suggested hosting Shanghai-style weddings, which she found appealing. After work, Yao Zhiming came home and saw Mai Laitian drinking. He guessed Liu Wanyu wasn’t home—she disliked his drinking the most.
