Tao Junhui took Qin Shi to the men's restroom and questioned her about why she lied and why she had an invitation from Ximei PR. Qin Shi refused to answer his questions. Tao Junhui thought Qin Shi now looked like a clown and had lost all her former ambition. He also said that the person happiest about Qin Shi's downfall would be him. Just then, Yang Hua showed up, and Qin Shi quickly grabbed him and left.
Ren Meimei returned home and, under Qin Wenyu’s questioning, apologized for her actions at the hotel but denied firing Vivian because of the incident. She claimed it was because Vivian didn’t meet performance standards during her probation. Ren Meimei was very angry about Qin Wenyu's attitude.
Back in her room, she remembered that Qin Shi had once told her that Qin Wenyu was playful and cared a lot about appearances and that he needed to be handled with both kindness and toughness. She had intended to bring him a blanket to show she cared, but upon overhearing him in the bathroom talking to Vivian and mentioning divorce, she became furious and beat him up. They had a fierce argument, and Qin Wenyu left home.
Qin Shi went to President Lan and expressed her desire to serve as legal counsel for the association. However, President Lan said she supported Zhao Danping’s choice and advised Qin Shi not to be too ambitious, saying that hard work alone doesn’t always yield results. Tao Junhui saw Qin Shi miss the chance to become a proxy lawyer and mocked her.
Yang Hua showed up with food for Qin Shi, and she deliberately showed affection and ate steak in front of Tao Junhui. But after returning to her room, she had an allergic reaction to the beef. However, the medicine in the car was expired, so Yang Hua had to go to the pharmacy to buy a new one. Tao Junhui was drinking downstairs at the hotel and ran into Yang Hua, who was on his way to buy medicine. He stopped Yang Hua to ask about his relationship with Qin Shi.
Yang Hua believed that Tao Junhui hadn’t let go of his past feelings and advised him to move on since he and Qin Shi were already married. Yang Hua hurried back to the hotel and found Qin Shi had already taken allergy medicine delivered by hotel staff and was sound asleep. After getting ready for bed, Yang Hua found it hard to sleep due to Qin Shi’s snoring and ended up resting in the car.
The next morning, Qin Shi, all packed and ready to go, found Yang Hua sleeping in the car. She thought he did it to avoid disturbing her sleep, not realizing it was her snoring that disturbed his rest. On the way back, Qin Shi was curious why Tao Junhui was at the banquet, given that he disliked meaningless social events, so there must have been someone or something important to him.
Qin Shi received a call from Ren Meimei and learned that she and Qin Wenyu had argued again. She immediately drove off to find them. Yang Hua got carsick due to the high speed and, upon arrival, quickly got out for air, even leaving his luggage in Qin Shi’s car. At the bar, Qin Shi saw Ren Meimei investigating counterfeit alcohol.
Qin Shi threatened to collect evidence and report the bar, scaring the operator, Xiao Peng, into apologizing repeatedly and promising never to let Qin Wenyu into the bar again. Qin Shi ate with Ren Meimei and advised her that if she wanted to keep Qin Wenyu, she needed to lose her temper less often. She reminded her of the 80/20 rule: hold onto the 20% that matters and ignore the 80% that doesn’t.
