Jindian Industry sent people to inspect the cup factory, with a quotation expected within the week. Xu Si was informed of this, but when his associate asked if his mother knew, he dismissed it as none of the associate's concern. Struggling financially, Jiang Hu decided to sell her luxury items and high-end shoes, inviting former acquaintances to look through her collection. Among them was Wang Lan, Zhang Wenshan's girlfriend, who deliberately sought to provoke Jiang Hu.

Remembering how Jiang Hu had slapped Zhang Wenshan at a recent auction, Wang Lan mocked Jiang Hu's current circumstances and demanded that Jiang Hu tie the laces of a specific pair of shoes she was reluctant to sell, threatening that no one would buy anything otherwise. Faced with her new reality, Jiang Hu remained silent. Jiang Hu packed her belongings into a single suitcase and moved from her villa into the Teng Yue factory.

She found the bathroom facilities severely neglected. After giving her dog a bath and eating instant noodles, she fell asleep at a table. Upon waking, she discovered that the old factory workers had cleaned the upstairs rooms and the bathroom for her. They gave her the only key to the cleaned bathroom, ensuring she had a private space, and also planned to install a shower for her.

Despite the drastic downgrade from her previous lifestyle, Jiang Hu was deeply grateful for the workers' kindness, who promised to look after her on behalf of her grandfather and mother for as long as they remained. Hong Die asked Xu Si if he had taken people to see the factory, reminding him it was his mother Fang Moping's life's work.

Xu Si didn't deny it, stating that the factory should have been sold long ago, given Fang Moping's declining health and her use of personal funds to subsidize its monthly losses. Fang Moping then summoned Xu Si. During their tense meeting, Xu Si argued that if she had agreed to a merger years ago, they would have had funds to upgrade the equipment, which could have prevented the fire caused by aging machinery.

Angered, Fang Moping ordered him to leave, and he did so without hesitation. Yue Shan, the CFO of Free Unicorn, gave Jiang Hu a ledger belonging to her late father, Jiang Qisheng. It detailed over five million yuan he had privately lent to friends, not including interest. Yue Shan suggested that collecting these debts could help alleviate Jiang Hu's financial burden for renting the factory space but noted that since there were no IOUs, recovery would be difficult.

Jiang Hu encountered Xu Si at a gym. He advised her to either sell Teng Yue, offering to help her turn a small profit, or fire the workers and find an OEM manufacturer. Jiang Hu firmly rejected his suggestions, insisting that Teng Yue was her father's legacy and she could not abandon the workers.

Xu Si pointed out her lack of funds and a factory, predicting she would be homeless in ten days and implying her efforts were futile, though he claimed to be speaking as a friend. To recover the debts, Jiang Hu proposed a deal to Yang Jian: if he helped her collect the money, she would use whatever they recovered to repay the money Teng Yue owed his friends.

Initially skeptical, Yang Jian agreed, seeing it as the only way to get his friends' money back. Jiang Hu and Yang Jian began the difficult process of debt collection. They faced constant rejections, and Jiang Hu even broke her high heels from running around. When Yang Jian's associates suggested aggressive tactics, Jiang Hu asked if they could be more "decent," but Yang Jian countered that her polite approach had proven ineffective.

Jiang Hu admitted she wasn't good at debt collection, so Yang Jian took charge. He confessed that he initially thought she was pretending to be in trouble but now saw her struggles were real. Yang Jian learned that a debtor named Mr. Li, who owed three million yuan, was at the exclusive C Club. Since Jiang Hu was a member, they went to confront him and found him meeting with Xu Si.

When Jiang Hu demanded repayment, Xu Si asked for proof, which she couldn't provide. Jiang Hu then publicly called Mr. Li's venture a "deadbeat start-up company," questioning Xu Si's investment. When a waiter brought a bottle of expensive wine Mr. Li had ordered, Jiang Hu seized it, declaring it as interest on the debt before leaving with Yang Jian. Outside, Yang Jian planned to sell the wine and assured Jiang Hu they would continue pursuing Mr. Li.

Jiang Hu declined his offer for food, wanting to be alone. Inside the club, as Mr. Li complained about the intrusion, Xu Si advised him to resolve his personal debt, noting an unexplained three-million-yuan entry in his financial report and warning that a founder's reputation could affect the company. Before leaving, Xu Si quietly instructed his assistant to add the cost of the confiscated wine to his own bill.

Meanwhile, at the factory, the workers, noticing Jiang Hu was always running around without transportation, pooled their money to rent an electric moped for her. Jiang Hu gratefully accepted and began practicing. She struggled, falling repeatedly and eventually breaking down in tears from the frustration. After a moment, she wiped her tears and silently continued to practice alone.
