Bai Haoyu falls ill from the rain, prompting both Xia Qiao and Li Huizhen to worry. Xia Qiao meticulously cares for him and prepares porridge. Meanwhile, Li Huizhen, concerned, makes her own porridge and medicine but feels it inappropriate to deliver them herself, so she asks Lin Yimu for help. Lin Yimu initially refuses, stating that Bai Haoyu is unaware of Li Huizhen's efforts, making them futile.
However, he soon agrees to deliver the items if Li Huizhen accepts three conditions. After leaving porridge and medicine by Bai Haoyu's bedside with a note, Xia Qiao departs, only to coincidentally encounter Lin Yimu outside the building. Unbeknownst to them, both were there for Bai Haoyu. Lin Yimu, finding no answer at the door, uses a spare room card he previously took to enter.
He finds Bai Haoyu still unconscious, with the porridge and medicine, and a note whose writing has blurred due to spilled water. Lin Yimu also sees a puzzle in the room, realizing it is the one Li Huizhen mentioned. When Li Huizhen calls to inquire, Lin Yimu informs her someone had been there. Li Huizhen suspects Bai Haoyu's rumored girlfriend, but Lin Yimu reassures her, claiming a nanny had made the preparations.
Despite his inexperience in caring for others, Lin Yimu attends to a feverish Bai Haoyu, giving him medicine and staying overnight. The next morning, a surprised Bai Haoyu finds Lin Yimu in his home. Lin Yimu explains he stayed to care for him. Lin Yimu then reheats Li Huizhen's porridge, which Bai Haoyu initially refuses, claiming he never eats breakfast.
Lin Yimu, however, uses embarrassing photos he took of Bai Haoyu the previous night to coerce him into finishing the porridge. Bai Haoyu, though reluctant, eats it, mistakenly believing it was Xia Qiao's, and texts her his thanks. Earlier, Bai Haoyu had also recalled that the umbrella Li Huizhen used in the office was identical to the one he gifted "Li Huizhen," prompting him to question "Li Huizhen," who, fearing exposure, affirmed she cherished it.
Li Huizhen also catches a cold from the rain and is seen constantly sneezing at work. Bai Haoyu secretly buys cold medicine for her, but before he can discreetly place it on her desk, Lin Yimu arrives, intimately presenting Li Huizhen with cold medicine and a cute cat-ear mask. Seeing their close interaction, Bai Haoyu, visibly upset, crushes a flower and nearly drinks Lin Hao's alcohol.
Meanwhile, Xia Qiao struggles with her feelings, torn between her best friend, Li Huizhen, and her love for Bai Haoyu. Later, Han Xue secretly follows Lin Yimu to a hotel, intending to discover his address. She attempts to inquire about his room at the front desk, falsely claiming to be his sister. Xia Qiao, who overhears the conversation, intervenes, stating there is no guest named Lin Yimu and remembering he is an only child, thus exposing Han Xue's deception. Disappointed, Han Xue leaves and encounters Editor-in-Chief Vivian outside the hotel, who questions her reasons for following Lin Yimu.
