Niu Meili received a distressing phone call from a debt collector who threatened to sue her and her actors if she didn't repay her substantial debt of 300,000 yuan. As she and Zhao Xiaobei were talking over hotpot, she expressed her despair, wishing her tormentors would just take her away to find peace from the constant stress. Zhao Xiaobei, however, found her suffering an exciting life experience, something he'd never encountered in his privileged upbringing.

He admitted to Niu Meili that while he found her situation amusing, he was also genuinely there to help her. Fu Fangshu, Fu Zi's father, arrived at Niu Meili's door. Zhao Xiaobei, mistaking him for a debt collector, nearly got into a fight with him. To resolve the tension, Zhao Xiaobei offered ¥100,000 to cover part of Niu Meili's debt, stating he was paying for "entertainment."

Niu Meili quickly clarified the misunderstanding and politely invited Fu Fangshu to join them for hotpot. Fu Fangshu sat down, much to Niu Meili's visible discomfort. However, while Niu Meili went to get extra chopsticks, he quietly left. Undeterred, Zhao Xiaobei pressed the ¥100,000 card into Niu Meili's hand, urging her to use it and pay him back when she could. The next morning, Niu Meili visited Fu Fangshu, bringing him breakfast.

He, in turn, produced ¥200,000, explaining he had sold his taxi. Niu Meili was alarmed, knowing his taxi was his livelihood. Fu Fangshu clarified that while the car itself was old, its rare self-employed taxi license plate was extremely valuable, worth between ¥300,000 and ¥400,000. He insisted on helping Niu Meili, rejecting her offer to sell her own van, as it wouldn't cover the deficit and was used for "special services."

Niu Meili mentioned Zhao Xiaobei's offer to help, which prompted Fu Fangshu to accuse Zhao Xiaobei of "spending money for fun" and warn Niu Meili that getting entangled with him financially would ruin her reputation. Despite Niu Meili's concerns about his future and his accusations, Fu Fangshu was resolute, stating he was selling it to retire and enjoy life. Angered by Fu Fangshu's words, Niu Meili left.

Shortly after, Gu Dapeng entered and offered to "solve this matter" for Fu Fangshu, who agreed to let him try. Meanwhile, Hao Zeyu continued to face immense hardship on the film set, enduring relentless demands from Director Peng Yongkang, including wearing ill-fitting shoes and being suspended on wires for hours. He was even kept hanging on the wire during lunch, unable to eat.

Earlier, after suffering much torment, Hao Zeyu had resolved to stay and prove himself as a good actor to Niu Meili and Director Peng. Fu Zi, relieved by his determination, had found a pair of white shoes (size 42) for him and used a black marker to color them, adapting them for his role. On this day, seeing Hao Zeyu still on the rooftop during lunch, Fu Zi managed to borrow a work permit and brought him a lunchbox.

Unable to reach him on the rooftop, she improvised by throwing him sausages. Though exhausted and hungry, Hao Zeyu reassured Fu Zi, telling her to eat and expressing his determination to stay. He even remained optimistic, finding joy in the novelty of using wires in his first aerial filming experience. Later, Bai Jiaojiao approached Director Peng Yongkang, inquiring about her scenes with Hao Zeyu (referred to as the third male lead).

She emphasized that despite there being only a few scenes, they were important, and given her busy schedule, she suggested filming them sooner. This would allow her to feel at ease if she had another event. Peng Yongkang agreed to consider her request.

Fu Zi, who was slicing lemons on set, learned from Xin Ling that Hao Zeyu’s alternate actor would soon be leaving because Bai Jiaojiao's joint scenes with Hao Zeyu had been brought forward (given Bai Jiaojiao's status, she wouldn't shoot them twice). Fu Zi was initially relieved, thinking their hardship was ending, but Xin Ling cautioned that their situation might not improve immediately and implied Fu Zi should foster better relations with the crew.

When Xin Ling attempted to treat the crew to milk tea, Bai Jiaojiao outmaneuvered her by ordering Starbucks for everyone, leaving Xin Ling visibly annoyed. Fu Zi tried to comfort Xin Ling, who then revealed that Bai Jiaojiao had, in fact, helped them by pushing for the advancement of her scenes with Hao Zeyu, preventing further suffering.

Back at Niu Meili's, Gu Dapeng visited, offering to "manage her finances," which Niu Meili quickly recognized as a veiled attempt to lend her money. Unwilling to owe favors, she promptly sent him away. Around the same time, Xin Ling tried to deliver some milk tea to Bai Jiaojiao, who coldly rejected it, stating her focus was solely on acting, not socializing. Xin Ling, feeling wronged, had to carry the milk tea away from Bai Jiaojiao's RV.

Later, Fu Zi bought a large quantity of milk tea for the entire crew, specifically offering some to Xin Ling and even buying several for Bai Jiaojiao. Hao Zeyu was reportedly pained to see Fu Zi making such an effort.
