Lost in The Kunlun Mountains Episode 24 Recap
> Lost in The Kunlun Mountains Recap
Wu Shuang was startled to find a skeleton on the alcove bed in Dengkun Pavilion. She wondered how a man could be there. Ding Yunqi deduced that anyone who could access the pavilion must have used the Mountain-moving Sect's methods and possessed an extraordinary, possibly very close, relationship with the Leader of the Mountain-moving Sect. The skeleton appeared to have sought refuge, having been severely injured and pursued.
Upon examining the skeleton's clothes, Ding Yunqi discovered blood characters, identifying the deceased as Shou Wujiang, the head of the Gold Touching Sect. The message pleaded with "Yuanshan, Lao Beifeng" to quickly save his family, stating he was injured by "Tian Long." Ding Yunqi was puzzled by Tian Long's identity, noting Shou Wujiang had been missing for over a decade.
He instructed Wu Shuang not to touch anything and went to confront Luo Yunsong, who was waiting outside, asking if he was looking for a person. Luo Yunsong confirmed he was, and Ding Yunqi led him inside. Luo Yunsong immediately recognized the skeleton, kneeling and addressing it as "Father." Ding Yunqi then had Luo Yunsong read the blood message, hoping he would understand the truth about his father's death and no longer blame Ding Yuanshan.
Luo Yunsong apologized to Ding Yunqi, admitting his past misunderstanding of Ding Yuanshan, and expressed gratitude that he and Fengling could finally see their father and learn the identity of his killer, pledging his full support to Ding Yunqi moving forward. Ding Yunqi acknowledged Luo Yunsong as the Young Leader of the Gold Touching Sect, which explained his extensive knowledge of the Penta-sect. Luo Yunsong understood Ding Yunqi sought the Gold Touching Sect's Soul Pursuit Order.
Meanwhile, He Biao tried to stop Chu Fengling from following Luo Yunsong into Dengkun Pavilion, reminding her that Luo Yunsong had told them to guard the entrance. However, Chu Fengling insisted and, with Auntie Hei, went inside once the door opened. Inside, Luo Yunsong asked Chu Fengling to kneel and kowtow to their deceased father.
After paying respects, Luo Yunsong revealed that the amulet Chu Fengling wore around her neck was the Gold Touching Sect's Soul Pursuit Order and intended to give it to Ding Yunqi. Chu Fengling, having worn it for over a decade as an amulet given by her brother, was deeply reluctant and ran off with it.
Ding Yunqi, understanding her attachment, reassured Luo Yunsong not to pressure her, as they were in no hurry and still needed other pieces of the order. With Luo Yunsong's identity revealed as the Young Leader of the Gold Touching Sect, a member of the Penta-sect, Wu Shuang and Ding Yunqi's attitude shifted, now addressing him respectfully as "Brother Luo." Luo Yunsong apologized for any past grievances, and Ding Yunqi assured him he understood now.
Luo Yunsong asked to bury his father in Mountain-moving Town, and Wu Shuang readily agreed to find a suitable burial spot. As Luo Yunsong moved Shou Wujiang's remains from the alcove bed, a mechanism was triggered by the change in weight. Ding Yunqi immediately realized the danger, shouting for everyone to evacuate as Dengkun Pavilion began to collapse. They narrowly escaped. Sun Sanxuan, arriving at the scene, was distressed to find his master's body, thus learning Luo Yunsong's true identity.
Meanwhile, Zhou Qiuhai and his disciples found themselves trapped in Sun Sanxuan's "Dragon in the Sky" formation. Sun Sanxuan taunted Zhou Qiuhai, reminding him of previous conflicts and claiming he was merely showcasing the Gold Touching Sect's skills, even if "rudimentary" due to hasty setup. Zhou Qiuhai dismissed the formation, questioning Sun Sanxuan's ability to execute such a complex skill taught by Shou Wujiang.
However, a disciple clarified that "Dragon in the Sky" was indeed a deadly Gold Touching Sect art. Zhou Qiuhai ordered his disciple to break the formation at the Black Tortoise position, but they were injured by flying needles, which Sun Sanxuan claimed were just "rusted," not poisoned. Sun Sanxuan explained that the formation, once activated, would continuously release smaller, yet more powerful, needles with every vibration, preventing anyone from crossing Nanshan as per Ding Yunqi's instructions.
He left his men to guard the formation and went to consult Ding Yunqi. Unbeknownst to them, Chu Fengling, after learning of Zhou Qiuhai's situation, grew agitated. She commanded He Biao and Auntie Hei to gather the Black Feather Team for backup, while she herself rushed towards the confrontation. Ding Yunqi, having been informed by Sun Sanxuan about Zhou Qiuhai's predicament and Chu Fengling's departure, also moved to intervene with Wu Shuang, followed by Luo Yunsong and Sun Sanxuan.
Back at the formation, Zhou Qiuhai realized the hub controlling the "Dragon in the Sky" was outside Sun Sanxuan's immediate area. He ordered his disciples to set up "Breaking Sky Thunder" devices while he attempted to disarm the mechanism himself, despite a previous injury. During the chaotic confrontation, a barrage of flying needles was triggered, heading directly for Chu Fengling. Auntie Hei bravely shielded Chu Fengling, sacrificing her life.
Devastated by Auntie Hei's death, Chu Fengling, in a fit of rage, ordered the Black Feather Team to kill all of Zhou Qiuhai's men. He Biao intervened, forcing the Black Feather Team to stop, but Chu Fengling fiercely resisted, demanding a gun from him to personally avenge Auntie Hei. Luo Yunsong arrived and tried to calm his sister, but Chu Fengling, heartbroken and furious, accused him of indifference, recalling the loss of their second brother and Auntie Hei's sacrifice.
She declared that if he wouldn't help, she would seek revenge on her own, vowing to make their enemies pay double. Ding Yunqi tried to explain that Auntie Hei's death was a misunderstanding. After her emotional outburst, Chu Fengling discreetly activated a special signal, a pre-arranged symbol from her Ladyship. This signal, known only to them, would summon a special team to assist her in unexpected situations, and she resolved to proceed with her own plans, independently of her brother.
Back at the formation, Sun Sanxuan admitted that his "irreversible" Dragon in the Sky formation could not be easily deactivated. Wu Shuang expressed concern for her master, Zhou Qiuhai. Ding Yunqi, taking the Jingang Rope, decided to attempt disarming the mechanism himself, despite Sun Sanxuan's warnings about triggering more flying needles. Zhou Qiuhai, meanwhile, refused to accept release under any conditions related to the Soul Pursuit Order. Ding Yunqi assured him he would not use such leverage.
Ultimately, Ding Yunqi successfully deactivated the mechanism, freeing Zhou Qiuhai and his disciples. Zhou Qiuhai, acknowledging the debt, told Ding Yunqi that the Mound-digging Sect would remember this favor. He then invited Ding Yunqi to the Mound-digging Region headquarters on the 15th of the month to settle all outstanding matters, including the disbandment of the Penta-sect and the Soul Pursuit Order. Ding Yunqi accepted. Wu Shuang then departed with her master.
Sun Sanxuan and the other Gold Touching Sect disciples, now aware of Luo Yunsong's identity, greeted him as "Young Leader." Luo Yunsong, recognizing that Ding Yunqi had already disbanded the Penta-sect, stated there was no longer a need for a Young Leader. He proposed that they all treat each other as brothers.
The Gold Touching Sect disciples readily agreed, reaffirming their loyalty, first to fulfilling their late master's dying wish to protect Ding Yunqi, and then pledging their lives to Luo Yunsong. Ding Yunqi expressed his gratitude but initially hesitated to involve them further, citing the dangers ahead now that the Penta-sect was disbanded and their oaths were lifted. However, the brothers insisted on staying, saying their loyalty transcended Penta-sect rules.
Luo Yunsong supported their decision, believing their father's spirit would be comforted by their unity. Luo Yunsong apologized again for Chu Fengling's earlier outburst, which Ding Yunqi accepted as a natural response to grief. Luo Yunsong also shared his childhood memory of his father describing Dengkun Pavilion as the safest place, which fueled his hope of finding his father there.
He added that his father never mentioned "Tian Long," leading them to believe Tian Long was a powerful figure with a deep, potentially antagonistic, connection to the Penta-sect, especially given his father's injuries. Sun Sanxuan then passionately vowed to find Tian Long and avenge his master. Later, Zhou Qiuhai discussed the situation with Wu Shuang. He acknowledged Xingchen's impulsive actions caused casualties, deepening the animosity.
Given Chu Fengling's unwavering resolve to avenge Auntie Hei and the Black Feather Team's strength, he deemed it safer to retreat to the Mound-digging Region headquarters to prevent further losses. Despite their withdrawal, Zhou Qiuhai instructed Wu Shuang to remain by Ding Yunqi's side, believing she could be more helpful there. Wu Shuang then informed Zhou Qiuhai that Shou Wujiang's body was indeed found in Dengkun Pavilion, having sought refuge there after being attacked by someone named Tian Long.
