After being dropped off by Tian Xiuzhu, Zhu Yun encountered Li Xun. Tian Xiuzhu quickly sensed their relationship, but said nothing at the time. Li Xun, however, grew wary and asked Zhu Yun about Tian Xiuzhu. Afraid he’d be jealous, Zhu Yun lied and said Tian Xiuzhu was just the family driver. But Li Xun wasn’t that easy to fool, though he didn’t press further.

Since Zhu Yun had been so polite earlier, Li Xun didn’t help carry her luggage back to the dorm. Instead, like a bossy supervisor, he called her and urged her to get back to the base. Zhu Yun rushed over, out of breath and annoyed, wondering if she was crazy to return and suffer. Li Xun offered her a day off the next day and sarcastically said she could go hang out with her “driver.

” Sensing something was off, Zhu Yun confessed that Tian Xiuzhu was her mother’s classmate’s son and her childhood friend. She shared some childhood stories, and Li Xun immediately realized Tian Xiuzhu was the warm-hearted artist — and grew even more jealous. He demanded Zhu Yun get rid of Tian Xiuzhu the next day. Seeing Li Xun jealous, Zhu Yun couldn’t help but laugh.

The next day, Zhu Yun deliberately treated Tian Xiuzhu to a meal and gave him a travel plan to explore on his own. During the meal, Tian Xiuzhu bluntly told Zhu Yun to keep her distance from Li Xun, saying they weren’t suitable and he would surely hurt her. Zhu Yun argued with him, saying he and her mother were alike, always judging people one-sidedly. Tian Xiuzhu didn’t argue further. Feeling she went too far, Zhu Yun apologized.

In the end, Tian Xiuzhu paid for the meal. Professor Lin wanted Li Xun to join a computer competition, but Li Xun firmly refused. He felt it was just for the school’s reputation and didn’t need it. Professor Lin believed that the competition was full of elites and that communication was vital for growth. Li Xun insisted he didn’t need that and nearly drove the professor mad.

Zhu Yun tried to mediate, and Professor Lin told her to keep an eye on Li Xun and take responsibility for pushing him to participate. Zhu Yun sweet-talked Li Xun into accompanying her to the competition. He couldn’t say no and agreed. Zhu Yun was delighted. But as soon as they arrived at the venue, Li Xun headed to an eco-tech company.

His main purpose wasn’t to be with Zhu Yun but to visit the company, leaving her a bit disappointed. Gao Jianhong came for the competition, while Li Xun and Zhu Yun were attending the forum. At the registration, they saw volunteer Xu Lina. Xu Lina, lively and outgoing, had heard of the Blue Crown project and admired Gao Jianhong. That evening, she invited him to dinner at a fancy restaurant, took photos with him, and saw him off.

Listening to Gao Jianhong talk passionately about computer science, Xu Lina looked at him with admiration, and Gao Jianhong was clearly moved. Xu Lina didn’t have good grades and had gotten into the computer school through connections. She hoped to restore her reputation through the competition and was eager to learn from Gao Jianhong. Gao Jianhong fell for Xu Lina at first sight. When he got home and saw the selfie she sent, he was overjoyed.

The next morning, Xu Lina came again to ask questions and brought breakfast. As Gao Jianhong was explaining something, Li Xun returned. Xu Lina, who already knew about Li Xun, rushed over to consult him. His expertise impressed her even more, and she immediately asked to exchange contact info. But Li Xun ignored her, which only made him seem cooler and more attractive in her eyes. The finalists were announced, and everyone would return for the finals in two weeks.

Fang Zhijing received the top attention award, and many asked for his contact info. Gao Jianhong also asked to add him and praised his project. Upon learning Gao Jianhong was from Nanhu University, Fang Zhijing inquired about Li Xun and felt relieved knowing Li Xun wasn’t competing. Xu Lina still hadn’t been accepted by Li Xun on social media and asked Gao Jianhong to help convince him. Gao Jianhong felt uneasy.
