In Qinzheng Hall, Second Prince Long Tianqing knelt before his Royal Father, pleading for Noble Consort Xiao's life, his forehead nearly breaking from kowtowing. He confessed his mother's grave mistakes but begged for clemency, citing her overwhelming love and fear of losing the Emperor. Though initially stern, the Emperor softened, declaring Noble Consort Xiao's death sentence would be commuted, though she would not escape punishment. Long Tianqing, relieved, rose and reported on the situation concerning the Poison Master.

He internally resolved that his mother would eventually be released once he secured more achievements for the Emperor. At the Solitude Pavilion, multiple factions converged to seize the Poison Master. Tianning's Second Prince, Long Tianqing, had dispatched forces, while Beili's Crown Prince Jun Yixie had sent his elite warriors. Meanwhile, Long Feiye had tasked Han Yunxi with treating the Poison Master, and Gu Beiyue, the Poison Master's subordinate, had been lying in wait to rescue his master.

As the various forces engaged, Han Yunxi discovered the Poison Master was feigning madness when she saw a familiar bracelet on his wrist and questioned his connection to Lady Tianxin. Suddenly, Gu Beiyue seized his chance, incapacitating the guards and Han Yunxi with a potent drug before escaping with the Poison Master. Long Tianqing arrived to find his efforts futile.

Gu Qishao, who had also been trying to secure the Poison Master, tragically lost his loyal warrior Bai Su, who succumbed to two arrow wounds. He vowed vengeance against Long Tianqing for her death. Long Feiye found Han Yunxi unconscious from the drug, his concern overwhelming. In Yujing Pavilion, Consort Dowager Yi fretted over Long Feiye's intense concern for Han Yunxi, feeling a pang of jealousy that her son had seemingly forgotten her for his wife.

Her attendant gently reminded her that Long Feiye had always cherished her. Consort Dowager Yi conceded that Long Feiye's affection for Han Yunxi was undeniable. Recognizing the rarity of mutual love and the difficulty of a lifelong bond, she decided to no longer meddle in the couple's relationship. Meanwhile, at Hongfu Restaurant, Long Tianqing and his advisor strategized. They chose to suppress the news of the Poison Master's escape from the Emperor to avoid losing recently gained trust.

Instead, they decided to closely monitor the movements of Herb-Ghost Valley, planning to tail them to apprehend the Poison Master. Long Tianqing declared his intention to flatten Herb-Ghost Valley, but his advisor suggested using them instead, augmenting their own forces by secretly following them. Long Tianqing agreed, prioritizing regaining his father's trust and crushing all who looked down on him.

At the Sinkhole, the Poison Master, recovered and lucid, revealed to Gu Beiyue that he suspected Han Yunxi might be his daughter, having recognized the bracelet as a token of love between himself and Lady Tianxin. Gu Beiyue confirmed Han Yunxi was indeed Lady Tianxin's daughter but also Han Cong'an's. The Poison Master instructed Gu Beiyue to bring Han Yunxi to the Sinkhole to be tested by a poison beast, which would confirm if she was of his lineage.

Gu Beiyue expressed concern about Prince Qin's Mansion's tight defenses and Han Yunxi's constant proximity to Long Feiye. The Poison Master, having waited for over a decade, insisted on the test, dismissing Gu Beiyue's suggestion to find a new hideout as the Sinkhole was his decade-long effort and currently impenetrable.

In the Imperial Garden, the Emperor confided in the Empress Dowager about his worries regarding his two sons: the Crown Prince was indecisive and incompetent, while the Second Prince, Long Tianqing, was overly selfish and even dared to hide significant events, like the recent fight at Solitude Pavilion, from him. The Empress Dowager, however, cut to the chase, pointing out that the Emperor's true anxiety stemmed from Long Feiye's unconfirmed lineage.

The Emperor acknowledged this, musing that Consort Dowager Yi would know the truth about Long Feiye's identity. In Herb-Ghost Valley, Gu Qishao received news that Chu Qingge had begun to move against Noble Consort Xiao. He immediately ordered his subordinate to tell Chu Qingge to find a way to eliminate Long Tianqing, vowing to avenge Bai Su's death. Soon after, Beili's Crown Prince Jun Yixie arrived, confronting Gu Qishao and demanding the Poison Master.

Gu Qishao defiantly stated that all of Jun Yixie's elite warriors had perished. Enraged, Jun Yixie threatened Gu Qishao, vowing to return in a month, and if the Poison Master was not delivered, he would capture Gu Qishao and bury him with his mother, thus preventing him from clearing his mother's name. Gu Qishao’s subordinate was furious, but Gu Qishao remained calm, enduring the humiliation for his mother's sake.

Following his heated exchange with Gu Qishao, Jun Yixie was intercepted by Long Tianqing’s men and captured. Identifying himself as Jun Yizheng, the Crown Prince of Beili, he appealed to Long Tianqing's ambition. He argued that turning him in would only provide temporary credit, but if freed, he, as a future emperor of Beili, could help Long Tianqing ascend the Tianning throne, particularly by eliminating Crown Prince Long Tianmo.

Convinced by the strategic advantage, Long Tianqing agreed to an alliance: Jun Yizheng would help him become Emperor in exchange for two ceded cities and a non-aggression pact with Beili, with Jun Yizheng remaining in Tianning until Long Tianmo's demise. Meanwhile, in Renshou Palace, the Empress Dowager summoned Consort Dowager Yi and Han Yunxi under the pretense of watching a show. She feigned dizziness and requested Han Yunxi to check her pulse, intending to separate her from Consort Dowager Yi.

Consort Dowager Yi protested, asserting Han Yunxi's status as Prince Qin's consort, but Han Yunxi humbly accepted. As Consort Dowager Yi left for the show, the Emperor met her, lamenting the pervasive rumors that Prince Qin was not of Tianning royal blood. The Emperor urged Consort Dowager Yi to help uncover Long Feiye's true identity for the sake of Tianning's stability, leaving her in doubt.

Back in Renshou Palace, the Empress Dowager confronted Han Yunxi, demanding to know why she had not sent messages. Han Yunxi retorted that Prince Qin's Mansion had been besieged, preventing communication. The Empress Dowager accused her of lying and threatened her with her mother's fate. Han Yunxi, knowing the truth, boldly challenged the Empress Dowager, asking if she could raise the dead. As Han Yunxi attempted to leave, the enraged Empress Dowager threw a teacup at her.

Han Yunxi deftly dodged it, causing the cup to shatter a priceless antique vase. Han Yunxi then dared the Empress Dowager to kill her, stating that Long Feiye knew everything and would expose her if she died in the palace. At that moment, Consort Dowager Yi returned, fiercely defending Han Yunxi and reminding the Empress Dowager that the Emperor had just praised her, making any punishment an embarrassment for him.

Cornered, the Empress Dowager could only glare as Consort Dowager Yi led Han Yunxi away. On their carriage ride back to Prince Qin's Mansion, Han Yunxi playfully called the Empress Dowager "that old witch," to which Consort Dowager Yi, though feigning disapproval, secretly found amusing. Upon their return, a delighted Han Yunxi eagerly told Long Feiye that Consort Dowager Yi was finally beginning to accept her as her daughter-in-law.

Later, in Prince Qin's Mansion, Han Yunxi brought Long Feiye some yam and jujube pastry she had made. Their eyes met, filled with affection. After tasting the pastry, Long Feiye shared that it was his parents' memorial day and asked Han Yunxi to accompany him to pay respects. Han Yunxi playfully agreed, insisting they go to the market together to personally select the offerings, believing it would show more sincerity. They left hand in hand.
