Legend of Yun Xi Episode 12 Recap
> Legend of Yun Xi Recap
Princess Changbing vehemently asserted that Mu Qingwu’s dire state was Han Yunxi’s fault, accusing her of poisoning him due to her suspicious presence at the scene. Despite Long Feiye’s intervention, Princess Changbing refused to back down, threatening to report the matter to the Emperor and Empress Dowager if Long Feiye forcibly protected Han Yunxi.
To prevent the situation from escalating and implicating Prince Qin’s Mansion, Han Yunxi bravely promised Princess Changbing that if she could not detoxify Mu Qingwu within two days, she would atone with her life. Long Feiye expressed his trust in Han Yunxi’s abilities, reassuring her that he believed she could overcome this crisis and would wait for her to return home. Before the two-day deadline, Princess Changbing had Han Yunxi arrested and imprisoned.
She then ordered guards to pour icy water over Han Yunxi, intending to make her fall ill and die in the cold cell. Despite outwardly suppressing her anger, Han Yunxi subtly poisoned Princess Changbing’s face with a flick of her finger, leaving a chronic toxin. Meanwhile, in the Grand Marshal’s Mansion, the Grand Marshal and Crown Prince Long Tianmo discussed their scheme.
They planned to kill both Han Yunxi and Mu Qingwu, leaving no witnesses, to deepen the animosity between Prince Qin and Old General Mu. This would also buy the Grand Marshal time regarding the border account issues. Driven by his ambition, the Grand Marshal visited the Emperor, feigning concern for the monarch. He volunteered to investigate Princess Consort Qin’s alleged assassination of General Mu, unaware that Long Feiye had already obtained incriminating evidence of his corruption.
In Medicine Ghost Valley, Gu Qishao, who outwardly appeared calm but harbored deep feelings for Han Yunxi, was visited by Crown Prince Long Tianmo. The Crown Prince recounted the Grand Marshal’s plan, but Gu Qishao, contrary to his usual ruthless nature, became uncharacteristically cautious. Under the cover of night, Gu Qishao secretly entered the prison. Seeing Han Yunxi shivering on the cold ground, his heart was filled with pain.
Though they stood on opposing sides, Gu Qishao gave Han Yunxi an anti-cold medicine and covered her with his cloak before disappearing from the cell. At noon, Imperial Doctor Gu Beiyue arrived at the prison as promised and described Mu Qingwu’s symptoms to Han Yunxi. Based on the Poison Scripture in her bracelet, Han Yunxi identified Mu Qingwu’s affliction as Myriad Snake Venom and instructed Gu Beiyue on its unique detoxification method.
Gu Beiyue, astonished by this unheard-of cure, expressed his deep admiration for Han Yunxi. After Gu Beiyue left, Han Yunxi fell into the Grand Marshal’s trap. She was subjected to severe torture, after which the torturers, feigning gratitude for her mother Lady Tianxin’s past kindness, offered to help her escape. The Grand Marshal intended for Han Yunxi to become a fugitive, then arrange for her to be killed and her death staged as a suicide, thus framing Prince Qin.
Just as Han Yunxi was surrounded and on the verge of death, Long Feiye appeared, swiftly defeating all the black-clad assailants. Overjoyed and relieved, Han Yunxi embraced Long Feiye tightly. Long Feiye, though initially reserved, had gradually grown accustomed to her intimate gestures. Han Yunxi revealed that she had seen through the Grand Marshal’s deception but chose to take the risk, believing that by escaping the prison and curing Mu Qingwu, she could clear her name.
She acknowledged that without Long Feiye’s timely intervention, she might not have survived. Han Yunxi and Long Feiye quickly arrived at the General’s Mansion, where Han Yunxi immediately began administering acupuncture to Mu Qingwu. Simultaneously, Princess Changbing and Minister Beigong arrived with an imperial edict to arrest Han Yunxi as a fugitive. Princess Changbing, determined to avenge her 'Brother Qingwu,' disregarded Long Feiye’s presence and Old General Mu’s pleas, attempting to forcefully seize Han Yunxi.
At that moment, Mu Qingwu slowly opened his eyes and regained consciousness, undeniable proof of Han Yunxi’s exceptional medical skill. Princess Changbing and Old General Mu gathered around the bed. It became clear that Princess Changbing’s actions stemmed from her deep concern for Mu Qingwu, which had been manipulated by others. Long Feiye ordered Minister Beigong to be suspended and thoroughly investigated.
As for Princess Changbing, Han Yunxi playfully drew on her face with a brush, giving her a minor but memorable lesson. Afterward, Han Yunxi and Long Feiye shared a carriage. Long Feiye noticed that Han Yunxi, perhaps exhausted from the past few days, had fallen asleep despite the bumpy ride. He gently pulled her into his embrace, holding her close.
In a separate development, Consort Qing’s arrival in the palace had caused distress for the mother of a prince, making her a laughingstock in the harem. The prince advised his mother not to worry, suggesting she apologize to his father, the Emperor. He promised to investigate Consort Qing’s background, affirming that the Emperor would not abandon his mother as long as he was there.
